The guy isn't a failure. Who would you have appointed? Gerrard ruled himself out and the coach who's never been a coach demaned to much input. The sustainable model they are looking for means the coach is simply a coach, with a structure around them to manage signings and budgets. It may work, it may not but they (we) have to start somewhere.

I only see the BBC article you shared.. the guys a failure. He would have been sacked if he didn't win that playoff. 40 million wage budget he had, 2nd highest in the league.
