oops, spoke too soon..... 1-1 now

Go on Eck... Brum up 1-0 away to Newcastle !!!

Ian... I fail to see what is wrong with being realistic. I much prefer that over blind optimism. Yes we have a chance of getting the result but there is every chance that Lyon will get the win they need too. They are still a quality team and our work is cut out for us. I am sure the players DO have more self belief as they should.
-
I hate to say it but I am with Wija. Yes, we had a great result away to Lyon but we are forgetting they also hit the woodwork 3 times AND they are playing much better now than they were then. Yes we beat Stuttgart at home but that wasn't an easy game either. Look at Lyon vs Stuttgart, Lyon won home and away. I fear that we are in for disappointment - obviously hoping I am very, very wrong !

And if you had read any of the earlier posts by gisabeer he was at Murray Park due to winning a competition. Seems his source and credibility far outweighs your "my word is my source" rhetoric.
-
Shite.... you are still taller than me !
-
As johhnyk says... if you refuse to name your source then no-one will believe a word you say - not that I do anyway !
-
Well done... you made me laugh. You should be proud of yourself !
-
Source ???

You are as regular as clockwork Victor..... :fish: Seriously though, is good news to see Smith on the mend as we need him at LB - is glaring how short we are for LB cover.
-
Hypocrtical that you suggest that my emotions are driving my justification for keeping JCD - your emotions are also running wild in suggesting we get rid of our best all-round striker. Re your 2nd paragraph.... I guess we should bring Flo in then ?

Steven Smith could be just a matter of weeks away from finally making his Rangers comeback. The left-back, 22, has endured a year of frustration on the sidelines with an ongoing pelvic injury. But successful surgery on the problem area in Germany recently means the talented youngster could eventually be on the comeback trail. And, in a further boost for the Ibrox club, injury-jinxed defender Andy Webster, 25, could also be back in action soon. First-team coach Kenny McDowall told Rangers News: "Andy and Stevie are working away with us and neither of them has had any reaction which is great news for us and for them. "Stevie has been out for a long time - as has Andy - and he has been upping the pace recently which suggests he is not that far away. "It has been a real shame for someone at a young age when their body has not allowed them to kick on but hopefully we have now cured the problem and he can move on from here." Meanwhile, DaMarcus Beasley will discover the extent of his injury later this week after returning to his native United States for surgery after sustaining knee ligament damage in last week's Champions League defeat to Stuttgart. Despite being told he faces months, rather than weeks, on the sidelines, the 25-year-old winger is hoping for a reasonably quick return. "I'm very optimistic," he said. "I recover fast. I haven't been injured too often so I'm hoping for the best." Beasley was injured in a collision with goalkeeper Rafael Schafer but added: "It's nobody's fault - that's just what happens in football sometimes. I just got my leg caught in the challenge."
-
I won't be eating humble pie anytime soon buddy - so don't hold your breath. I didn't see "Waldo" saying that he would "get this injury prone player tae feck" as you had suggested either.
-
Thankfully you aren't right.... "fits and starts" doesn't equate to "7 to 10". Semantics perhaps, but still you weren't technically accurate. Touche.
-
Nah, to be fair McGeady doesnt look all there.
-
Or the way he played against Lyon ? Scoring a peach and a great ball over the top to Beasley for the third ?
-
Nah, he lost his baccy for his pipe and his slippers are cold...
-
Really ? And you know this because ??? You don't know a THING about me so how can you determine you are more of a "Rangers Man" than I am ? You can't, it is in your mind. Much like you are trying to read between the lines on what I have posted.
-
Actually I didn't. Try reading before letting rip. I said that you were not more of a Rangers man than Ally - I also did not say McCoist was more of a Rangers man than you. Either read what I wrote or jog on....
-
But not as little as "7 to 10 days" ? Hey, I am as frustrated that he hasn't been fully fit either - but to want to punt him is extreme. Wouldn't you agree Victor ? :fish:
-
Nope, he played against Stuttgart did he not ? He played prior to that did he not ? And he isnt injured "every 7 to 10 days". See if you can find something positive to say about something... anything.... I think I might start nicknaming you Victor Meldrew :fish:
-
No chance of that happening in my opinion. If JCD doesn't make it WS will go with Cousin and keep the 4-5-1. We don't need to win the game so he will play on the counter in my opinion.
-
And it isnt as if Milan would fear either Celtic or Shaktar if they met them again later in the tournament so they don't really care for putting one of their rivals out. I would have expected Barca to go all out for the win last week to get rid of Lyon though... they did come close right enough.
-
Do you only ever talk shite ?
-
And you think that makes you more of a "Rangers man" than McCoist ? Utter shite.
