  1. There's an argument that we were trading illegally and Whyte could end up in soapy bubble (again). I guess this may have been part of HMRC's argument today.
  2. Correct and for that reason they will likely honour season tickets, but it's still an option for them.
  3. As a bond holder, I believe I am an unsecured creditor. I look forward to receiving information from the administrators with interest.
  4. Even if it's on, season tickets may be ineligible.
  5. How could he do it, even if he wanted to? MIH don't have the funds to do it and LTSB aren't going to fund it.
  6. I would think that the liability would emerge once the case is decided. I don't think that they could deliberately wait until we came out. I can't say with any degree of certainty though as it's not an area that I've ever been involved in.
  7. How convenient....
  8. I'll ask again. CW should have put in cash to clear the bank debt plus another £15m for working capital, transfers, cap ex, wee tax case, plus we got in £20m+ from Ticketus. Why do we only have under £9m in the bank at 30th June? The £3.5m is not a net figure. We still have income coming in over the period. The figures still don't seem to stack up. As for the delay in issuing them, the HMRC case is a glib reason. I still don't understand why. Is it because the auditors believe that the amount should be provided? Is it a going concern issue? Is there another reason? Whyte has refused to explain to shareholders exactly why the accounts are overdue. You seem to accept without question the word of a man who was described by an independent judge as wholly unreliable. We did that with Murray and look where it left us. There's a lesson there. How do you know? Was the appointment of an administrator today part of that structure?
  9. I'm not sure that it is a seperate issue and it wouldn't necessarily mean that SDM would have to come back. Whyte claimed that Ticketus had the money secured on assets on one of his other companies. We don't know what one but Ticketus are part of a large financial group and you wouldn't expect them to have worthless security, but who knows.
  10. Which is it? The one we want or the one that Whyte wants?
  11. Perhaps Whyte's comments about £75m and the fact that a debt to HMRC crystalises even if we win the case were very revealing.
  12. Don't know, mate. There's certainly been a suggestion that it's something to do with the takeover and the related raising of cash which may not have been completely kosher, but perhaps things will become clearer over the next couple of hours after HMRC make their case.
  13. Whyte has started the ball rolling but there's no guarantee that we would go into administration. It's still just an option. This seems to be HMRC taking away that option. It appears that they feel that CW is f***ing them around and this is their response. HMRC have been mean buggers for a number of years.
  14. I presume that HMRC want an independent administrator appointed rather than one picked by CW. There may be more to it, but it's moved outside the realms of my expertise.
  15. Is this HMRC calling Whyte's bluff?
  16. HM Revenue and Customs have lodged an application to put Rangers into administration. The club had lodged a notice of intent to appoint an administrator. However, on Tuesday HMRC lodged an order with the Court of Session in Edinburgh calling for the court to appoint an administrator. It will be heard before a judge at midday and HMRC are due to make a statement afterwards. http://news.stv.tv/scotland/west-central/297509-hmrc-moves-to-put-rangers-into-administration/
  17. I have serious doubts that the accounts will be delivered by then.
  18. The questions have not been answered. Whyte has failed to explain why the club has a problem given the £62m referred to above. He has delayed issuing the accounts so that we are unable to see what has happened on the financial side. Perhaps you can answer why our cash balance was under £9m at 30th June given the receipt of the cash from Whyte and Ticketus if the questions have been long since answered? I actually find it astonishing that you can dismiss the concerns as "speculation" given everything that has happened. We WILL go into administration. HMRC will not do a deal. We will still be in administration at the end of March and therefore unable to compete in Europe next season as I understand it. Whyte has shown an inability to meet his own deadlines accounts issued by the end of December, end of January, end of March..... so we can't rely on yet another glib comment that we will be out of administration by the end of March. How you can dismiss reasoned arguments as sensational and hysterical when the club's future is in jeapardy is beyound me. I know that you have taken a pro-Whyte attitude over the last wee while on this board but it's moved past forum arguments. The future of our club is in the hands of yet another charlatan and I'm shit scared. They were £940m in debt. they managed to reduce this to £700m in the last set of accounts.
  19. Nope. We still keep everything.
  20. But you can't win £24m with a scratch card.....
  21. I don't doubt he said it. I'm just doubting the veracity of what he said.
  22. How can that be? Total payments in respect of EBTs were £47.7m. Tax due would be around £19m. Interest and penalties could take it up to £49m, but it can't be £49m before penalties.
  23. Bluedell

    Aluko

Probably to help ensure 2nd place.
  24. They are still owned by the club.
  25. They were wrong over Vodafone, as has been pointed out to them, and that has made our argument even tougher. You could be right about their lobby being bigger than ours. Perhaps these companies could threaten the loss of tens of thousands of jobs. Don't know for sure but we haven't much of one unfortunately.
