  1. This has worried me too, but at the end of the day you cannot sign away your right to legal redress. You can write your name on a bit of SFA headed paper, but it doesn't remove your absolute right to use the law of the land - be it Scotland, the EU or European - should you wish to. Any body which (a) insists or suggests such a move and (b) punishes the signatory(ies) for subsequently reneging on such a move would stand guilty of breaking the law. It would be like agreeing with a blackmailer to pay up, refusing to do so and being fined by the blackmailer.
  2. This line that anyone who has an issue over the EBT saga is merely falling for timmy propaganda is out of order. People have different views based on different ideas - but I doubt a single one of us takes our party line from Parkhead.
  3. Our reputation can best be protected by going the games, staunchly supporting our team and leaving anything societal for more appropriate forums (fora? don't speak Latin). I think we are different from them in that we do not have a need to defend perceived discrimination against our 'heritage'. Certainly we've taken a battering of late but I honestly think much of that has come from within - we (the club and the fans) provide the open goals for haters to kick into. I would hate for Rangers to descend into some kind of vehicle for this agenda or that agenda - it should about be the football, first and last. I appreciate that's not what anyone is suggesting in this thread but that's kind of the logical outcome of adopting their ghetto mindset. Hard to argue for dignified silence after this year of unhappiness but there's a middle area between that policy and screaming like a demented three year a la celtc.
  4. Reynolds would be decent at d3, but I doubt if he'd want to come.
  5. I thought at the time we couldn't blame the players for bailing, but hindsight shows I was totally wrong. Charles Green hasn't stood in the way of anyone leaving, and we could have done with every penny available. Easy for me to say looking back but I do feel very let down by the likes of Allan or Steven Naismith now. I don't suppose they could have known everything at the time but they could have held off - they were out the door in what seemed like seconds.
  6. Do we have any say in the sale of the TV deal, though, SPLformethen? I thought the SFL, collectively, decided what to do with their rights - and since we have learned the hard way what SPL tactics can lead to I've no issue with that - but it leaves us a bit bare in the bargaining chip dept. Mind you, we can always refuse to sign off on the 5 way deal, I suppose. Welcome to the site, btw!
  7. They're not written by celtc fans?
  8. I'd rather leave the ridiculous social associations to those with serious societal inferiority complexes. Aspiring to ape Timothy is not No.1 on my list when it comes to the rebuilding of The Rangers.
  9. Putting Mark 'Mogadon' Lawrenson in the comm box encouraged me to go out for a walk in the beautiful sunshine last night. Congrats, Beeb!
  10. Because at some point in the future we, too, are going to have to lie in that same bed...it would be better if it wasn't all pishy and blood stained, like that morning I woke up in Possil all those years ago. And while I won't care if the SPL teams that booted us die, while they represent Scotland I can't hope they fail. Anyway, who's left? Can't see Motherwell getting much from their draw, a hard one, dunno who the Tayside pricks have, celtc have a chance I suppose but I've thought that about us often enough only to be disappointed.
  11. Now, if only the Bheeb at Pacific Quay can be found to have done similar, the circle of Karma will be complete.
  12. Bollocks they did...I was on the point of cancelling my membership when I read they were going to cave in to religious loons over the marriage equality bill. Pleased to see them telling the god botherers to mind their own business, altho churchy types' obsession with what other people get up to in bed seems unlikely to diminish any time soon.
  13. I don't know why you think the SNP are anti-Rangers, Juan. There are areas where they will frown upon us, but we have to be honest and admit that they can only do so when they have broad public opinion behind them - such an area is the sectarian behaviour bill. I know the focus was on singing and the pope/fen1ans etc, but a large part of it is that people are sick of football fans (all of them) acting like gorillas on the way to and from a game - it wasn't just an anti-Rangers thing. I admit the SNP, or any other political party, will be loathe to get involved in such a vote loser, but if there's a case for them to look at there's no reason not to bring it to their attention. At the very least they can't be more in bed with celtc than Lhabour.
  14. Half decent game. I like women's fitba, emphasis on skill not brawn. Plus some are quite hot.
  15. I thought he made model kids with big noses.
  16. That is true...yet it kinda sticks in the craw to see the team and the league treated as a media carnival in order to generate some wonga. Can see both sides but I'd come down in the 'piss off taff' camp.
  17. No-one takes anything SPL chairmen, owners, players or managers say anymore seriously, though. It's quite unbelievable how, after all the hatred and insanity, the SPL are equally if not more disliked than us. I don't take any great pleasure form their misery (well, a bit) but I am baffled on a daily basis.
  18. You sounded like Lenin there, Zappa.
  19. I think you are probably right. But the bigger picture - that the game in our country is on a life support machine - means that none of us can afford to rest on our laurels!
  20. I've read that Derry Journal thing twice now and still don't understand it. Wtf's he talking about? And, if that is a professional writer, his sentence structure would embarrass a nine year old.
  21. Visiting the ancestral homeland of the Steels today, couldn't help noticing the great big banners all along The Strand for a game between Beith Juniors and 'The Rangers Football Club'. I think it said 31 July, but I was driving at the time so didn't get a good look...are we playing them? Would love to go.
  22. If it gets his squeeky voice off the radio then go for it.
  23. If you have HD telly, turn to 552 - North Korea are playing Colombia in the Olympics. An eerily silent and deserted Hampden, looking nice in the sunshine for once...it's what we will end with if Regan carries on. Not content with wrecking Scottish football, he is now apparently trying to start WW3 by winding up the Koreans...they ran out to the South Korean flag. I have it on good authority that Regan, unable to delegate, is personally responsible for the flags displayed during the Games...Regan must go!!!
  24. 'bobby roll' ??? Wtf are you wiping, and where is your shit coming from???
  25. Hardly our fault if Hearts are in such a state a D3 club can entice 'their' players.
