It's not as if it's unusual anyway. We've been sending some of our young players out on loan until January pretty much every season. Sometimes the loan deals get extended, sometimes they don't.

If that's true, then it's going to leave us short of central defenders, so presumably the manager will look to add another.

That's actually a very good point. The last thing we need is another season where a dozen players practically down tools because they've got very little chance of a new contract.

The next available is the Dumbarton v Rangers game on SEP 19. Is that ok with you?

We normally ask for them to be in at least 24 hrs in advance of the match Lucy. Are you up for doing one?

Since he's only just left us and since he's signed for another Championship team I thought it might be worth mentioning in here that Jon Daly has signed for Raith Rovers today.

There's been one or two rumours started online that he was on about 5 grand a week and we've paid him to leave with something like 30% of his remaining contract value. If I was speculating, I'd take a wild guess and say that BOTH McGregor & Zaliukas were asked to find new clubs and that McGregor's agent has negotiated him a wee pay-off so that he can leave with a few quid. The question now is what happens with Zaliukas if he has indeed been asked to find a new club too.

In the article Rangers have just published it ends by saying "The loan agreement will be reviewed in January"

It's early days here for Rob Kiernan. He's only played 5 competitive games for us so far, so it's a bit early to judge him.

That'll probably be Arsenal's doing. They'll want to see how much game time we give him between now and January. If we play him and he's happy to stay, there's maybe a chance of it being extended.
