Have to agree with most of what Tannochsidebear & Craig have just said and would also add that I think these loan deals are absolutely pivotal in building back up our relationships with top class clubs. For our new manager to be trusted to train and develop young players from top 6 EPL clubs speaks volumes about the respect he's getting from the coaching and management staff at these clubs while giving our manager the opportunity to improve this season's Rangers squad for next to nothing. I've said a few times recently that I think loan signings should be players of a quality that we can't currently afford to buy and that seems to be exactly the type of player the manager is targeting in the loan deal market.

I bet he just gets called Ged by his teammates.

If it was 7 or 8 loan signings you'd probably have a point, but we've signed 6 1st team players on permanent deals and 2 loan deals, with it looking like a 3rd loan deal who is a real top class player. Why anyone would have an issue with that is beyond me.

Don't scramble my brain any more than it already is please!

Rangers set to agree loan deal for Arsenal youngster Gedion Zelalem By RAMAN BHARDWAJ 18 August 2015 14:25 BST Rangers are set to agree a loan deal with Arsenal for midfielder Gedion Zelalem. STV has learned that the player is expected to hold talks with the club over the next 24 hours. Rangers manager Mark Warburton announced the signing of two players on loan from Tottenham last week and hinted that a further signing would be announced shortly. The 18-year-old Arsenal midfielder is now poised to be the latest addition to the squad at Ibrox. Zelalem is highly-rated by Arsenal and was handed his first team debut by Arsene Wenger during the 2013-14 season. However with players of the stature of Santi Cazorla, Alexis Sanchez, Aaaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Mesut Ozil blocking the way to regular football, the midfielder needs game time to develop. He has been included in the first-team squad on a number of occasions and took part in the club's pre-season tour this summer. “I’m going to go back for pre-season and try to get into the first team and play some games,” he said earlier this summer. “If I can do that, great. If not, I’ll look to get out on loan somewhere. It’s a dream come true to be at a club like Arsenal and I want to get into the first team this season, play minutes and start matches.” Zelalem has also been at the centre of an international tug of war. Born in Berlin to Ethiopian parents, his parents hold US residency and he was recently granted permission by FIFA to play for the American national team. He had previously represented Germany at youth level. The midfielder represented USA at the Under-20 World Cup this summer as they progressed to the quarter-finals of the competition before being knocked out by eventual winners Serbia. http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rangers/1326864-rangers-set-to-agree-loan-deal-for-arsenal-youngster-gedion-zelalem/

The tickets for Hibs this Sunday went on sale straight after the St Mirren game, so I'd imagine it'll be the same with the Raith tickets and you'll be able to get them on Monday.

In that case you'd be looking at either the Club Deck or restricted view seats in the Main Rear or Enclosures. -

I think there's still some tickets available in the Broomloan Rear, but not very many and they're only single seats, none situated together. -
Apparently our U20s are playing a friendly against Fleetwood Town tomorrow and fans are welcome. Kick off is at 2pm and I think it's at Fleetwood Town's training ground which is at Poolfoot Farm in Thornton.

It's getting there fast. I'd be surprised if it isn't sold out by Friday night. -
Might as well bump this thread again since we're now over the 33,000 season ticket mark.

I'd love for us to give them a proper doing, but I agree with you that this one could be tougher. They'll be prepared to try to stop us playing the way we've been playing, so I'm expecting quite a rough game with Hibs pressing us hard when we're on the ball to try to limit our passing and movement. Having said that, Hibs passed the ball really well for spells when we won 6-2 at Easter Road, so they might just focus on that and try to play us at our own game of passing, moving and attacking. It'll certainly be an interesting game and hopefully it's an entertaining one again as well.

It's getting blown out of all proportion by sad bastards with nothing better to write about. Wee Barrie McKay has pulled off tricks while playing for us in the past and nobody blew that out of proportion. Same with Lewis Macleod's tricks and overhead kicks, none of it was blown out of proportion like this nonsense.
