  1. Not sure what the stands hold, but the seat planner still shows almost all Broomloan Rear still available. Copland Rear is shown as unavailable as well (pay at the gate). Lots of spaces still elsewhere. £30K looks optimistic to me but I stand to be corrected.

The Broomloan Rear holds approx' 4K and so far almost half of those seats are sold for this game. I'd expect that a little more than that are already sold for the Copland Rear, but the sold & remaining seats won't be showing on the ticket site's stadium plan because they're being reserved for ticket office purchases and pay at the gate.

  2. RANGERS signed Michael O’Halloran from St Johnstone today, so we’ve pulled together a few Fast Facts on Mark Warburton’s latest attacking weapon:

    • Both of O’Halloran’s Bolton appearances came in cup competitions, and both were against Macclesfield in both the English FA Cup and League Cup.
    • He already has a winner’s medal to his name after starting St Johnstone’s 2014 Scottish Cup Final victory against Dundee United.
    • In 2012 he scored in a League One play-off final penalty shootout at Wembley for Sheffield United against Huddersfield. O’Halloran’s side failed to get promoted however as former ‘Gers goalkeeper Steve Simonsen missed the decisive kick after the shootout went all the way in sudden death.
    • In 124 career appearances, O’Halloran has never once been shown a red card.
    • O’Halloran has European experience under his belt, playing six times for St Johnstone in recent seasons, while he also netted in their away-goals 2-2 defeat to Alashkert this season.
    • O’Halloran’s youth career began across town at Celtic before moving south to Bolton Wanderers.

Thinking back to some of Simmo's howlers for us, that bit's bloody funny actually! :seal:

  3. Used banned in a metaphorical sense as the singing of certain songs appear to be more prevalent when the extra tickets are sold and in my personal opinion are from a section of those who buy them and are not regular attenders.

I think you're correct to a certain extent, in the sense that when we sell out Ibrox there tends to be some extra issues caused by a very small percentage of fans who aren't regulars (it's pretty obvious when you see a few coming in steaming through the turnstiles singing TBB etc). That said, it's not very cool to cast a brush over the fans who make up the numbers on sell out days because I'd imagine that >95% of them have absolutely nothing to do with causing trouble for the club.

  4. The idea that clubs should be deducted points because of some clowns in their support misbehaving is just ridiculous. Ideas like that should be filed under 'idiotic' and guys like Stewart Regan who have these brain farts in the first place should be shown the door at Hampden before they ruin Scottish football any more than they already have.

  5. Best of luck to the lad for his future.

With some of his ball skills and the fact he's still quite young he's clearly got good development potential and if he develops in the right ways he could have a really bright career ahead of him, but to my eyes Oduwa's all round game just wasn't developed enough for us and for the type of football Mark Warburton wants our team to play.

Personally, I've been thinking for several months that our own player Barrie McKay's all round game was making Oduwa look distinctly average most of the time.

  6. The wifi before the upgrade mentioned was very poor but following the work (perhaps in relation to or paid for or supposed to be paid for by the Commonwealth games as Zappa says) presumably by this company it improved out of all recognition; so it is unfair of anyone to cast any aspersions on the quality of the work.

We were originally told that the deal to install Wifi in Ibrox was signed with tech' giant Huawei. That was announced at the start of July 2013 stating that installation would begin the following month. By mid to late September it had been installed in pretty much the full Govan stand as well as the Broomloan and Copland concourses. The installation process then moved around the stadium, but it apparently started in the Govan stand.

  7. Rather embarrassing question, how long before kick off do the gates open??

It varies from game to game. For some games it's around 90 minutes before kick-off they get opened, but for others it's less. Overall it's actually pretty random because it depends on a whole bunch of different factors, but a general rule of thumb is that they seem to try to have them open no later than 60-75 mins before kick-off.
