Not just that, but for many of them Rangers was the pinnacle. They didnt want to go anywhere else. Different these days many of the players we bring in see this as a short term deal to achieve another objective. Keeping these guys too long is just stupid.

Was linked heavily with Celtic in January think they tried for him but couldn’t afford him. I expect a few loans for us next season and before anyone complains 2/3 most important players for the other mob last year we’re loans (Jota and Carter) and arguably our best player this year was a loan (Tillman).

Agree but it was quite polarising. Many thought he was rubbish. My hope is that he turns out to be a better defender than Barisic which shouldn’t be difficult. Hard to judge yesterday as Aberdeen were barely interested getting out their half barring the odd break and the last ten mins.

Is it just me or is it utterly depressing to see a new up and coming manager like Barry Robson turn out to be a total footballing dinosaur. Listening to the podcast last night and was interested to hear Chris Jack and the guys say they would be happy to keep Borna for his last year to see it out and let him go on a free. It’s as if we never learn. That didn’t work with Kent or Morelos. Even if we sold him for 1 million it’s 1 million towards a replacement we won’t have if he walks for free. Borna is another one that peaked at 55 and it’s been rapidly downhill since. I recall him having a mini lap of honour after we beat them 1-0 at Ibrox when Gerrard had Covid. It was as if he had a move lined up and was away. Yet nothing transpired. Guys like Borna, Kamara, Lundstram need to be moved on.
