  1. Good luck to Mikel Arteta.
  2. I have done some research and I think that due to his massive success for RB Salzburg under 18's, FC Liefering and a massive win rate of 61.54% with the mightily Al-Ahli in the uber competitive Saudi PR league. His stunning and brave tactical approach of a ganggang press, being a young and trendy German manager has resulted in me appointing Matthias Jaissle as our next manager. I look forward to many 2nd place finishes and trophyless seasons while we attempt to kick start our player trading model, signing 8 stone pigmy's from Peru we need to move on at a loss.
  3. I think whats happening is someone needs to upgrade their Nokia for a real phone with a proper camera.
  4. He's not bald?
  5. I'd say Armitage shanks, because we are utter toilet.
  6. Marco Rose is a no from me, we battered him when he had the much better team in Dortmund, and Celtic beat him with RB Leipzig last year, he couldn't handle their style of football.
  7. Why not? Nothing bad has ever come out of Austria.
  8. You say 'from' Saudi, yes both were taken 'from' Saudi. I highly doubt either was hired because of how they performed as head coaches IN Saudi. My point was any performance data that may normally be used in the hiring or otherwise of managers from Saudi is probably disregarded in the most part.
  9. The damage was done in the summer when the board decided to chuck it and prep for a sale. I dont think Clement or BF have had a fair crack of the whip this year, without defending their records.
  10. When can I expect my 'biggest gammon far right conspiracy nut miserable sod of the year' award?
  11. I have a number of issues with Gerrard and wouldn't want him back. But cant see why his stint in Saudi is being used as a case against him, its not a serious football league its a marketing campaign. It would go the other way had he been a resounding success. I mean does anyone even know/care who the best teams and managers are in Saudi? I dont. Same goes for Muscat in China. Chinese football isn't serious and is essentially just a betting market.
  12. Bottom line. Needs games to develop. Everyone needs to remember the Alan Hutton arc. Or Alan McGregor. Not every youngster is going to come into the team and be one of the best players from day one like Barry Ferguson.
  13. I have said this for years now, but our club seems to value European success over domestic. The facts don’t lie. Problem is, European success for us is just doing ‘ok’. It’s not realistic to think we will win anything. The squad seems to have been assembled with this in mind, any of the qualities needed to succeed in Scotland seem to have been ignored Diomande probably the biggest examples of this. A very competent operator in the European arena. Cool under pressure, great at retaining possession and resisting the press. Lost count of the amount of times he was just bundled off the ball yesterday. Just pushed out the way by bigger, stronger players. You could say the same all over the park.
  14. Weak, bullied again by a bigger, faster, stronger team.
  15. Sterling and Ridvan in the treatment room
  16. Hopefully we can sell him to the glue factory or whoever.
  17. I've out hipstered the hipsters.
  18. Seen Roger Schmidt mentioned on twitter, i'd probably take him.
  19. Dyche and Mourinho don't develop players. They like to work with the finished article. Whoever we get needs to be able to polish up a few rough diamonds (or turds, depending on who you ask).
  20. That looks garbage, Umbro is a garbage brand. Meh.
  21. How many injuries has he had
  22. The support hold no authority or influence over the club or directors. 2012 is the biggest example of that.
  23. Premiership and MLS clubs can pay big wages. Is this guy taking a pay cut to come here? Will we get value from whatever we are paying him? There is a risk that, perhaps while the sporting director role works for wealthy clubs, or continental clubs who have utilised this model for several decades and worked out the kinks, it may not work for us. We have tried it with Allen, Wilson and to a degree Koppen. I am still to see the value it creates. I get there will be an argument about structure, visions, club philosophy etc. In fact we have heard it for several years now. We have never managed to get it started. Youth system synergy with formations and systems, farming out players on loan, game models, player trading models. All these things remain a pipe dream, we look on across the globe at other clubs, some far smaller, in envy at their capabilities in these areas. I remain unconvinced that this is necessary to punch down on small fish we need to contend with most weeks.
  24. Not relevant to the point I was making.
