  1. Exactly this. Bisgrove is as much a Rangers man as any other random person. He is a commercial/marketing professional and probably a good one. This proposal would have needed sign off at senior board levels, that's where the issue lies for me.
  2. I quite like King and his bravado, but I'm also pretty sure if he wanted to still be chairman at Ibrox and in control he would be. That says more to me than any soundbites. Hes not here so he is about as relevant as the other yesterday men.
  3. Even if we get the same amount of money from it as Celtic, it doesn't help us gain an advantage as they get the same as us.. its pointless.
  4. yeah its just a rumour, but that one would be more believable than yours.
  5. Does it make business sense to participate in a tournament with your biggest rivals if they are going to make more money from it than us as is rumoured?
  6. Wouldnt surprise me if true in the slightest. Which makes the decision all the more bizarre. Whats the point in us getting an extra 5 million dingo dollars if they are getting 10? Also, have the club had any assurances that the club staff and support will be free to leave the country in the event of any further COVID restrictions? Didn't Australia completely lock down and stop anyone from travelling in or out? This is quite important.
  7. Agree RE: Goldson a good signing for the money an owes us nothing. But he will be difficult to replace IMO. The McLaughlin thing has me worried. If he is good enough get him in the team now. Why wait until McGregor retires. An i am not convinced he is good enough to be our #1 FWIW. We also face losing Aribo, Kent and Morelos and wont get top dollar due to contracts running down. We brought in 12 million for Patterson and 4 million for Gerrard and spent next to nothing in January. Not sure we are in a position to being in 2/3 real quality players. Considering we will lose at least 4 i suggest we need more.
  8. I think context is key here. If we had won last night in between the 5-0 v Hearts and 2-0 v Hibs I'm sure we'd all take it as a clinical 3 points, it was a champions performance, ground out win etc and move on. But given our recent form its just a continuation of a very worrying trend.
  9. 3 points but a turgid uninspiring performance. Looked shaky at the back, created a few good chances we didn't take and the midfield never got a grip of the game. Its like we have regressed to the team that dropped points at Pittodrie in January, it was that type of performance. Only saving grace for us tonight was that St Johnstone are abysmal. Players looked tired after the first half and no subs. Why. We have now run the 11 who will start against the sheep on Saturday into the ground. They will come at us with everything as its their last game of the season effectively. Out of the cups and in the bottom 6 and wont play us again. Our manager is starting to look as bemused and disconnected as our board. We have 3 of our best players down to 1 year left on contracts in the summer and the likes of Goldson will leave on a free, Davis & McGregor will retire. This is really turning into a complete shambles in every area possible.
  10. No will stick to despairing at our club having rings run around them by Celtic off the park and in PR.
  11. Getting told to suck this up because its great financially after selling Patterson for a large upfront fee (approx. 12 million) plus the money we got from Villa for the management team(approx. 4 million) and spending 200k on a 20 year old polish guy and loaning a couple of nobodies and a Welsh crock is nothing short of a massive insult.
  12. Confirmed by the club on twitter now. I am beyond disappointed. Not felt this disillusioned with the club since the spiv days.
  13. Dont think my auld ticker can handle watching this guy in goals for us. Check this out (from behind the couch)
  14. No way this is down to a couple of ill informed employees. This must have been signed off by the board surely.
  15. Reports this morning we have offered a contract to Schalke 04 goalkeeper Martin Fraisl. Apparently already follows our club and manager on social media.
  16. A wee guy that wouldn't have been playing against us otherwise scored twice in the re-arranged match. This was yet another yahoo fit up and we just laped it up. And now our club are happy to be complicit in the coverup of the latest CBC scandal news by letting them announce some garbage friendlies in Australia. I despair at our club sometimes. I will be forever thankful for them saving our club and 55. But by god we need someone with balls like King at the helm 24/7.
  17. St Johnstone struggling big time but this is still potentially a massive banana skin for us.
  18. Defo, as others have said judge it when the spell with us is over. But right now it looks like a bit of a pointless signing.
  19. I'd suggest if we fail to win the league this season the blame will lie more with the players who played, rather than those who didnt. Although it is frustrating to have a talent like Ramsey and not see him play.
  20. He went out on a limb to get the club to bring in James Sands during the window. An 18 month loan to buy for a reported 6 million. The manager played him as a DM twice where he looked like a centre back playing DM and played CB once against Annan. Yesterday Lundstram played CB ahead of him. If that's anything to go by there are serious questions to answer.
  21. No real idea where to start here. Feel slightly cheated by this squad. Can mix it against a star studded multi million pound Dortmund side but sh*t the bed against Aberdeen, Ross County, Dundee United and Motherwell today. Not to mention capitulating at the home of our main rivals had handing them initiative in the league race. Tav was asked after the game (by David Edgar i believe) is there an attitude/application issue and he said no because we can do it against Dortmund. Thats exactly the problem and the fact he cant see it speaks volumes. This is a bad result in isolation but raises more questions about our recruitment in the window. The polish lad I can overlook. But the fact we have hardly seen Sands, Diallo and Ramsey since they signed does not reflect well on the recruitment team. Electing to play Lundstram at CB, who has been great for us in midfield recently is quite frankly bizarre and is on the manager. Sands is available, Balogun was on the bench. heck even through Leon King in. We needed Lundstram in midfield in that second half. Not making changes after half time when it seemed some players were running on empty. Bizarre. A few questionable offside decisions again, a red card that wasn't given and the player was subbed at half time. All the usual and again we have no interest in calling it out so it will only continue. I genuinely believe there are players within this squad who have no real desire to win this league. Just do it on the big stage in Europe and try to get a move. Domestically go through the motions.
