  1. A bit like the EU, I do wonder whether UEFA's hubris will end up killing off the CL. It has gone beyond boring now, literally the dullest competition out there.
  2. This sort of thing really pisses me off. I'll give Waghorn the benefit of the doubt as I didn't see it, but if I was a manager and a player showed me petulance I'd simply punt them from the team until they wised up. Players should be man enough to accept it's a team game, and if they're dropped then as a professional they should be busting their balls to show the gaffer he can't leave them out.
  3. Surely, finally, this game has squeezed out a thunderous, steaming jobby on the whole "Aberdeen are Scotland's second team" nonsense.
  4. I await the usual posters defending this referee after the match. He is all over the place.
  5. This is better than Wednesday. We're actually showing a bit of appetite.
  6. More so than the level of football, I think you're on to something regarding the added pressure of playing for a club the size of Rangers. There are some players at Ibrox just now whom I am far from convinced can handle it.
  7. I enjoyed it. Talking about tactics is overrated IMO.
  8. ‘All Jews and gentiles are devils. Blacks are no devils. Everything black people doing wrong comes from (the white people): Drinking, smoking, prostitution, homosexuality, stealing, gambling. It all comes from (the white people).’ ‘Integration is wrong. We don’t want to live with the white man.' ‘A black man should be killed if he’s messing around with a white woman. And if a black woman was messing with a white man? Then she dies. Kill her too.’ I think I see why he was never approached by 'Kick It Out'-type campaigns
  9. This is a huge game for our manager. If we lose, he will have some pretty big questions to answer. Play like we did on Wednesday and we are getting turned over with ease. Let's hope the Silence of the Sheep moves into its 27th year.
  10. You're trying too hard to read things into the question. It's a question, and not irrelevant. Particularly if, as with some it is, your answer is "no, not particularly this season". People have forgotten the 2007/08 season way too easily IMO.
  11. As an Oxford United fan, I can say with some confidence that League One is a higher standard than the SPL. Celtic might win that division, but the rest of the SPL, ourselves included, would struggle.
  12. Just to be clear, the "honest mistakes" of referees is not mean to be an excuse. It is simply a statement of what I - and, it would appear, others - perceive to be fact. The reason we are where we are is that we are not very good at football.
  13. He is a very good manager. His teams can be liable to dips, but I suspect it's just you who thinks he's a "laughing stock" (as a manager. As a person he's a bit of a weirdo).
  14. Before everyone tries to shoot cooponthewing down in flames: based on refereeing decisions in Rangers games this season, do posters on here believe they have 'evened themselves out'? Genuine question. Posing this question takes nothing away from our dismal performances.
  15. I'm not sure anyone other than McCoist would have touched the job with a bargepole. Regardless of his failings as a manager, I'll be forever grateful that he stood up when needed.
  16. Not a view some will want to hear, but MK Dons are a good club. Well-run, excellent stadium, good youth policy. Good luck to Nielson, but last night we made him look like Guardiola.
  17. Firstly, thanks to the Celtic fan for thinking of us. I know we're never far from your thoughts. We need European football next season, and that means 3rd.
  18. I see what you're saying, but at Rangers you're part of the biggest club in the country and you're going to be hated. I would suggest that any player who can't deal with that should look for a contract at Bristol City or Scunthorpe. Oh for a Souness right now.
  19. I’ve had a chance to sleep on last night’s game. What the hell was that? It’s not the getting beat, we’ll take the odd doing this season. It was the complete lack of ideas and application, not to mention a comprehensive failure to do the basics. I don’t think I’ve ever seen worse ball retention from a Rangers side. I’ve seen Highland League sides, with next to no ability, at least keep the ball for a time. Even McLeish’s worst sides could find their man and keep the ball for a bit. Warburton has had these players for four or five months now. I kept asking myself last night what exactly it is they do on the training park all week. Not much on the evidence of last night. When we got beat 5-1 at Parkhead, we at least had a spell in the first half where we were in the game. Last night there was no Plan A, never mind B or C. We were schooled from the first minute to the last. Only Foderingham gets pass marks. I’m not saying this is the case, but that Rangers side last night reminded me of a dressing room the management have lost. I’m left utterly baffled by that performance. All very concerning.
  20. This is the worst performance of the season. Actually quite worrying.
  21. I don't want to come over all paranoid, nor take away from our dismal performance, but we are up against it with officials this season.
  22. Hate to say it, but we've been outplayed this half. We just haven't turned up. No rhythm, no plan, nothing. Really disappointing.
  23. Foderingham keeping us in the game at the moment. We need to make it to HT 0-0.
  24. I guess Crooks will have to wait for his first start then.
