    It's shocking some of the stick Broadfoot gets from his own "support" sometimes. He may be no Cafu, but he's one of the most improved players in Scottish football of the past two years, he's got a first class attitude, and he's one of ours. It's bad enough he takes criticism from Scotland fans and the national manager - to hear some Rangers 'fans' refer to him as "Clubfoot" sticks in the craw a bit. Speedy return Kirk. His return to the squad will hopefully have a positive effect on Steven Whittaker et al as well.

    They clearly have a vastly exaggerated idea of demand. 10,000 empty seats? Would heads not roll in some companies for that sort of strategic failure?

    Rangers may or may not have made a sufficient profit from the Seville game, but I'd refer you to the 40,000 attendance and suggest that that figure is indicative of a mistake in pricing policy on this occasion. Call me a romantic, but I don't understand why Rangers expect their fans to get so excited about Champions League football when they go and price so many fans out of it. I can accept the harsh reality that modern football is a business, but only to a certain point.

    I've just heard that Chelsea are charging �£25 for their Champions League games. While Rangers fans have to fork out �£38 to watch a team they hadn't heard of this time last year.

    I think before his injury, Kevin Thomson was on his way to being Rangers' best player. And captain. The way he totally bossed the 1-0 game at Ibrox against the bheasts in 2007/08 (when he scored) was immense.

    I feel the same way Ian. There are times I see Davis and I think, "what are you doing in the SPL?" Then he goes missing for an hour. Arguably our best player, I still think it was a major coup getting him on a permanent deal.

    They weren't team captains at the same time though McCoist was on it as a guest quite a bit during the Beefy/Beaumont era. I'd imagine Super and Beefy would get on pretty well.

    Aye Beefy loves Scotland, perhaps a product of his John O'Groats walks I don't know. I'm not sure where he fishes but he's often to be seen in pubs down Callander way apparently. I remember two or three World Cups ago (cricket) he was asked for his views on the Scotland team: "Love the people, love the whisky, love the fishing........but no"
