Scott Brown has slaughtered the Hampden pitch
aweebluesoandso replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
We didn't have grass pitches in Easterhouse Glasgow, it wasn't till i moved down to England and my lad played on nothing but grass pitches. I took him once back up to Easterhouse and was showing him where i was brought up and sure enough the cinder pitch was still there but no longer in use. He was shocked as it was just wasn't cinder but actually bits of slag from old coalmines in it. However when i showed him some old Dvd's of Bobby Russel playing who i was brought up with (same school and BB team) he appreciated the skills we learned. My son is thirty and still plays amateur football for a local team, hehe i told him looks like James Vardy, that's it just looks like him lol. -

Throw some ash and cinders on it, never done me any harm, no unless you count the black tattoo stains on my knees, which btw the wife thought was a birth mark till i explained poor folk didn't have the luxury of grass parks. Her actual words were '' oh dear how traumatic'' -

There is only one way to go with this, report it to the Press Complaints Commission. -
Our EBT's was a honest and genuine attempt at tax efficiency savings, their Lennoxtown initiative was and is a blatant attempt at ripping off Dumbartonshire tax paying residents.

Brown's a Carthorse, so i can see him getting stuck in a rut, however our lads are more Pegasus, our hooves won't touch the pitch. -

Club1872 has a lot of work on it's hands going forward, no1 consideration for me is getting the wider fan base involved with the concept. Those of us already members of the various supporters groups are generally still getting involved, by continuing our financial input. But attracting those fans not involved in any fans groups, by simply asking them to pay-up and join, might not attract the numbers we need to make it numerically successful imo. Every support should be able to join free of charge imo, that way you will get those with less financial resources to spare joining, i'm thinking here of children, the disabled and pensioners, also parents and grandparents joining their family members, thus continuing the family lineage links to the club. Everyone regardless of financial input should carry the same or equal voting rights. Those of us within the support with the financial resources, should carry those within the Rangers family without the financial resources to contribute much or anything. That's not to say we shouldn't encourage new members to take up the financial responsibilty of helping the supporters group or the club. -
The biggest lie i saw from a Tim, was when one of them said, he had been a season ticket holder for over fifty years, but had since died of cancer. But for the semi-final game against us, he's returning from the grave for this game. The club in the meantime could contact him through Derek Acorah or send a ticket to his son at his old address. I'm calling bogus on that and think the son needs a talking too.

A Clear mandate for getting on with this proposal and making something worthwhile, that every Rangers supporters can eventually get involved with. -
I really really really wish this to be true?

The SFA and the SPL (SPFL) are not for returning our our fines or monies filched, the only way the club will get back anything is by court order, Judicial revue. My contention is that will never happen, as the club are just not interested in raking over old coals. I wish they would, but i just don't see any future court action on this?
-
PS, my hand never went up.
-
The only way this could be tested is by the club asking for a full Judicial Revue, on our fines and punishments, after our administration event from the result of fraud, by the parties currently under investigation and charges. Hands up who thinks the club is interested in this?

They had their chance to kill us off, it was a damn close thing. But they fecked it up, greed got the better of them. They are just pissed off they can't go back and try again, 54 titles we're still going strong.

[FT] Falkirk 3 - 2 Rangers (Miller 7; McKay 9)
aweebluesoandso replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
I can agree with most of what you are saying, i'm not being to critical though, merely slightly disappointed after the strides we have progressed. We basically switched off second half and forgot most of what we had learned to date. We'll switch back on again soon enough, but if we are going to be the best we need to be switched on every game from now on imo.
