It's a comparatively small flag, so getting every countries flag where we have supporter representation on it would be impossible, If they did have other countries flags on it, i wouldn't complain about it. We have a Dublin Loyal if the had an Tri-colour as representation of those supporters i still would be in favour of it. It's a football flag, not a fashion statement, so what has chavishness got to do with It, it does what it says on the tin, Rangers Scottish British and followers.

It's not the best flag i have seen, but it carries some of the symbolism I like connected to our support and club. It has the club's crest's, I'm Scottish, i'm British, l live in England (as does many of the support) and it has a representation of our many thousands of our Ulster brethren. It's not in any way controversial, in fact it's underplayed and plain imo.

On second reading of the statement, it doesn't clarify much but does say something, that is club is in a legal fight with Ashley? -

Me again lol, further rumours of good news stories to be released latter this week? -
http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/...-by-dave-king/ DAVE KING has released the following statement: Supporters have requested an update on the Club’s relationship with Sports Direct which is one of the key issues that I promised to deal with prior to, and after, being elected to the board of Rangers International Football Club. It is widely known that Sports Direct applied to court for an injunction to prevent myself and my fellow directors from disclosing certain details of the agreements between the Club and the Sports Direct group, including the existence or detail of any meetings between the parties. The gagging order prevents me from disclosing the details of our contractual relationship it does not prevent me from updating supporters on the status of the general relationship with Sports Direct. Sports Direct continues to litigate with the Club in an attempt to enforce its wishes and demands. This seems based on the simple logic that Sports Direct can outspend the Club in legal fees and thereby deal with the Club as it pleases. I assure supporters that the Club will not be cowed by this threat and the recent lack of communication (as a result of the gagging order) belies the level of robustness with which the Club’s interest has been and will be protected. Furthermore, I have sent letters to Sports Direct in my capacity as a director of Rangers Retail Limited taking them to task for poor business practices and corporate governance failures. The Club believed that it was entering into a joint venture with a large public company that would behave as a partner should and would conduct its business affairs in an appropriate fashion. In my 40 years of business, I cannot recollect having dealt with a public company that is run more like a wholly owned family business and appears unconcerned with other stakeholders – partners or otherwise. It remains my intention to ensure that Sports Direct is legally and financially held accountable for its failures.

Further rumour of good news announcement tonight from King, no source here other than tweets cut and pasted on FF. -
Consolidating our supporter groups and changing fan attitudes

I agree 100% here boabie, the club looks like it wants a regular cash stream income from the support ( which i full agree with) that cash stream though should give the support huge leverage. I want to give cash by direct debit on a monthly basis, say £20, what i want to know is, what is our return on hundreds maybe even a few thousand of supporters giving the same every month? Putting our money in and getting a seat on the board doesn't fully satisfy me, i am looking for a return that means the support actually own something, not shares but property or an asset, that can never be taken from us and is held by us in trust in perpetuity. -

Court orders like in this case, are usually given for a period of set time? Hopefully next time when this period is over and up for a continuation by Ashley, the club will robustly defend against the gagging order. -

Pure speculation on my part Mazza, but Ashley is apparently notoriously difficult to deal with in negotiation? I would guess King got no joy in his meeting's with Ashley, so the club is waiting for a guilty judgement in the forthcoming Whtye, Green Duff and Phelps Four versus the Crown case. Then i hope they will declare all onerous contracts agreed by them, nil and void? -
I'm annoyed there was no Klaxon alert from Keech Jackson about this.

No, if it is coming from the supporters groups, but it's from the Record, 3names, John James and even McMurdo. Then my suspicions are raised. If there is news i want it from the club on their website and then through the Rangers forums, that's all i;m saying. -
Consolidating our supporter groups and changing fan attitudes
aweebluesoandso replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The status quo of too many supporters groups cannot remain as it is imo, there has to be change to keep the momentum going of part fan ownership of our club. One single entity representing all the supporters aspirations, with a few specialist departments within it, catering for shareholding and PR etc, is the future model we should be trying for. The days of many single supporters groups all pulling in various directions should be over, when push came to shove at our administration they were all powerless to help. That should never be allowed to happen again, strength in numbers but also strength in finances should be our aim, direct ownership of certain tangible assets, is the best way to get the attention the support demands. If we own it, no one can take it from us or sell it from under us. -

Basically Jackson has taken all poisonous 3names agenda and lies, then used it as a stick to beat King with. What has caused the panic for information? The team is doing brilliant, the club are employing, what looks like good and qualified candidates. The board is in contact with the supporters groups, crowds are up substantially, court cases are pending. It all looks good to me , who benefits from negative headlines again about our finances? I'm not worried, nor are any of the supporters i meet at match days, so who is really behind this and why is it being pressed at this time. -

Thing is though Keech is not asking this on behalf of the Rangers support, he's asking on behalf of the demented obsessed bigots, who need their daily fix of Rangers news. Since Toxic Jack's leaks were plugged, 3names and the MSM know very little of what's actually occurring now. So they fill the void by outrageous claims as in 3names case, or pleading for information like this. Long may it continue for them, if there is something to say it should be said to the Rangers support first, then the obsessed can window lick it. -
He's one of the games characters and one of our own. If nothing comes of this he could always get us a good discount on some tanning booths lol.

http://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/club-statement-54/ Friday, 23 October 2015, 12:30 by Rangers Football Club Share: THE Club is delighted that the members of the Rangers Supporters Trust and Rangers First have voted so overwhelmingly in favour of the establishment of a new Fans Group. With positive responses of 99% and 97% respectively, this demonstrates the strength of desire among our supporter base to come together for the benefit of the Club. We look forward to the proposals being finalised and believe that this will further enhance relationships between the Club and supporters.
-
I voted yes. Exciting times ahead for the club and the support if these proposals come to fruition. I'm looking to put my direct financial input to the club through the RST's new initiative part of the proposal. However what's in this for the support? Yes i understand we get a say in the club through fan representation, but what's to say the man with the most shares will not do as he pleases, regardless of what the support say or think. To really hold any say or sway, the support need to own tangible assets imo, if we are going to put in a financial investment in the form of cash over the decades, what do we purchase? Surely not just a voice in the boardroom that can be outvoted at the whim of rich men. I want my money to to help the club and help the support, gain their rightful ownership of parts of the club. That's only fair, as rich men have been buying (and then abusing the club these last few years) with their financial investments.

If Oduwa was Irish, all hell would have be let loose by those comments.
-
The club should come out and categorically refuse to pay the ransom to these thugs. "Rangers Football Club will not see any of our players assaulted or nearly crippled, as a ransom price to the thugs, who try to stop them playing with flair, ability and confidence.

Some of the Livi tackles wouldn't have been out of place in Sunday's Rugby match against Australia. Rugby is on the rise and football in Scotland going down the pan.

Davie Weir. for constant moaning at the officials lol.
