Rangers 'keen' on Ross McCormack

Aston Villa have told Ross McCormack to find a loan move out of Villa Park before the end of the transfer window - and Rangers are reportedly keen on taking the striker back to Ibrox.

The 32-year-old spent last season out on loan at Melbourne City after falling out of favour with manager Steve Bruce.

Now Rangers have been alerted to his situation, according to teamtalk, and the situation could further suit the Ibrox club with the report stating that Villa are willing to cover almost all of his £40,000-a-week wage.

McCormack has earned himself a reputation as a goalgrabber in the second tier of English football and has wracked-up nearly £25m in transfer fees between Villa, Fulham, Leeds and Cardiff.

So when will the mainstream media start to realise/or admit that the best full back in the country plays for Rangers?

If we get past Ufa you can guarantee no team will want us as their pot 4 opponents.

@Ser Barristan Selmy I watched the ufa game yesterday and can honestly say they looked extremely poor. The main concern is the distance we must travel.

Hopefully we can put the tie to bed at Ibrox.

I remember thinking we'd be lucky to get past Shkupi.  Now I'd be gutted if we don't get to the group stages.  It may give us the additional income we need to stop the scum.  

 

This week's fixtures in Maribor and Athens have potentially huge financial implications.

The best result for us is for them to fall into the Europa and for us to qualify.

Could it be that we are trying to keep it under wraps? He was not involved with Liverpool today.

It really feels like we are on the brink of something special this season.

St Mirren were in for a long afternoon but unfortunately the red card knocked the wind out of our sails. However as mentioned above even with 10 men we were comfortable.

I still hope to see Lafferty, Solanke and another CB join. As I remain unconvinced by the maverick that is Umar Sadiq.

i reckon we have taken him on loan to see if he can adapt to the British game before making it permanent.

Tavernier was all over the park, he was so far up at times you would have thought he was a striker!

Few posters on FF saying Sadiq has been woeful in training thus far, possibly prompting us to look at alternatives in case he doesn't come good.

These podcasts are really starting to take off.

I really think we should be looking at loaning out Cardoso, he was apparently highly rated back in Portugal - perhaps going back home on loan is best for all involved.

Maribor are seeded as well - so I believe we would take their seeding in the Play off round.

Best draw we could of hoped for.

I think that contact will be kept with Liverpool on the players progress and he will have to be given a chance but I think the 70% playing time is very doubtful. I can see if he went to Stenhousemuir that they may want 70% but not at Rangers. Nobody is Guaranteed 70% playing time at any top club. 

It could be that we just accept the “fine” and think of it as a loan fee.

Hope has to be to see the midfield and forward starters increase in standard, not too sure it's going to happen though. Can only hope we have some surprises in the pipeline. 

He was voted young player of the year at Barnsley the year before though.

HITC nonsense mind you but usually written based on social media opinion at the time.

Ryan Kent makes me think of Patrick Roberts.

Sadiq makes me think of Edouard.

Coulibaly makes me think of Nticham (albeit not a loan)

Goldson/Katic can be compared to any of their defenders

What I’m getting at though is that the players mentioned above have all had similar if not better careers than their celtic counterparts.

Who knows if they will be a success but people really need to stop with the extreme view points.

One thing that really irks me is how the media love to mention that Hearts fans “saved their club”, this is often used to disparage our fans for apparently failing to do similar.

The situations were so dramatically different it is ludicrous to even try to compare them.
