I often wonder why McInnes turned down the managers job. It’s obvious that our board had backed Gerrard very well. I tend to think his family and back room staff swayed him.
Anyways with that said... thank god we have Steven Gerrard!

Typical cup tie on a terrible surface. Far better teams than us have slipped up in these kind of ties.

Morelos hasn't yet reached the level Dembele was at in his first season in Glasgow although in time I think he will overtake him.
Really though? Dembele was grossly overrated and he was up against a very poor Rangers team as well.

The undervaluation of Morelos in the media is really starting to bother me.
If Dembele can move to Celtic for 500k and then be sold for £19.5m - I expect nothing less for Alfredo.

I did not get too excited after the Old Firm game due to the fact that I thought we would drop points away to Killie.

That pic suggests that the right decision was taken.
Surface looks uneven and an obvious risk of a serious injury.
Really?!

The decision looks to be a complete shambles based on footage online.

What? The chat (& it fucking pisses me off you can’t have a private conversation with someone without them fucking posting it) clearly is me responding saying I know nothing of this at all
Yeah mate - poor show by Cwood - he tried to cover your name but it was easy to see.

A whatsapp chat with @Stevie - 4lads Blog has been posted on FF.
With claims that he heard we were after Lallana a couple of weeks ago.

Adam Lallana would be a massive signing - I cannot see it happening though.

Agree with those worried about a Worrell recall under MON. His type of anti-football, high ball back to front and physical all over the pitch will see him look at Worrell (I'm sure he will have watched the OF game where Worrell had a fine game) and think he is worthy of a place in his team/squad. Also will see it as weakening us which will be a bonus for him.
I hope SG is preparing for his departure. Perhaps giving McCrorie another chance at CH as his chances in midfield are reducing with Davis coming in and talk of a change of shape which may mean we play with one less CM?
Gerrard has made his feelings clear on McCrories position. He is a midfielder not a defender.

I'd start him ahead of Candeias in most league games in a heartbeat. Largely freed of defensive duties and given freedom to attack in a forward 3 I think you'd see him flourish like Aluko did when he joined from Aberdeen. He's turned defences inside out this season and we lack a left footed playmaker player cutting in from the right that would give us balance. Jones' strength is counter attacking, running onto the ball. Stewart's strength is gliding past defenders and slicing them open with through balls, not to mention finishing. Having said all that there's no suggestion it's happening so not much point in debating it further.
Candeias for me is by far a better player.

As much of a Rangers man Stewart is - he isn’t good enough to improve our team.

We sold Hutton for £9m how many years ago?
If I was a betting man I would bet Leeds United bid for him - as they are flying high and will be aware his a boyhood fan.

Are Rangers genuinely interested in signing Davis ? Has there been any confirmation?
I’d take him on loan til the end of season on his £60k p.w. Southampton wage then at the end of the season decide whether to offer him a contract
Some claimed on FF that he is booked into a Glasgow hotel next weekend.

On a sidenote, Morelos is sure hot property and I would expect a few EPL sides may want a closer look. Throwing 10 to 15m our way won't "hurt" them that much, while it would e.g. finance Kent instantly and leave quite a bit room for replacements too. You do wonder what price tag the club and SG will have agreed upon, if any. Hopefully we all are prepared for that case ...
If Dembele is worth £19m then so is Alfredo.

Was hopeful of Kent & Arfield but word is both have missed out, may be on back of neither training
Grezda also out so really short on numbers & team really picks itself in all honesty
Sorry to say, not feeling in any way confident about this at all
Ach well that has just scunnered me. I was really hoping for a Walter Smithesque curve ball.

We have enjoyed success using 4-4-2 over the years.
Maybe now is the time to use it again.

Just noticed that's us played exactly half the 38 games, picking up 38 points.
If we project that forward, it gives 76 points -- more than enough to get second spot over the last few seasons.
We've even given away a lot of stupid points too -- that Motherwell slip-up still haunts me.
Who cares about second?! I want first and I firmly believe if we win our next two games and strengthen in January we can achieve it.

Think he got hooked because the game got stretched and was getting done for pace?
Gerrard said he was injured.

The interesting thing about Polster is that the management team are clearly looking at cover for Tav. Given the number of games he is playing and how his impact is dipping of late, that seems sensible.
Flanagan is a RB though and a very solid one (he has been capped by England in that position)

Morelos 3 Match Ban
in Rangers Chat

It’s always been that way.
On a side note there is a concerted effort by certain pundits and media outlets to try and drive down Morelos’ value.
