  1. Thought I would start a little fun Friday topic.

Pick a starting 11 of Rangers players (preferably ones you have seen) where you have no more than one player from any one country.

    Klos (Germany)

    Porrini (Italy)

    Cuellar (Spain)

    Moore (Australia)

    Numan (Netherlands)

    Kanchelskis (Russia)

    Davis (Northern Ireland)

    Gazza (England)

    Laudrup (Denmark)

    Morelos (Colombia)

    McCoist (Scotland)

Wonder if Keith Jackson feels like backtracking on his 10 years behind comment from a few years ago.

Stuff Klaxon - I wonder how Bill Leckie is feeling after his ridiculous article from a few days ago.

Rangers played some of the best football I have ever seen from us against Porto and Bill Leckie decides after the Motherwell match that Celtic are still miles ahead. Give me a break Bill.

If our main problem is a lack of cutting edge then surely a new striker is a good idea? It's funny whenever I mention a new striker people assume he'll be the 3rd choice, why couldn't we buy a new first or second choice striker? Defoe doesn't have a full season of 90 minutes every week in him at his age, in my opinion, Morelos will pick up suspensions and both could pick up injuries. We'll be playing two games a week until Christmas, we can have all the wingers in the world but if we don't have someone to score the chances we'll be kicking ourselves. Perhaps Gerrard feels Kent or Arfield can play up front.

    Step forward Shinji Okazaki

  4. They had a make shift defence and we barely got near it. That game was crying out for a front three of Jones, Morelos and Ojo.

Instead we played too many in the middle of the park which left Defoe isolated.

If they go out and sign a couple of players today and we don't (which looks likely) then they will start to gain momentum and belief that they can achieve another title.

FARE are not going to stop until we are kicked out of Europe, I'm not even convinced that they won't report us again even if there are no "offensive songs " sung!!!

    Hence my point above.

Some fans seem to think that by sticking to sungs such as Derrys Walls or Build my Gallows that there will be no repercussions - I am not sure FARE, Uefa or the club feel the same.

  6. Ajax were threatened with a stand closure back in 2013-2014 for using the f word so there is a precedent.

Now we can sit and argue all day about the impartiality of FARE or whether we feel certain songs should or should not be found offensive.

The fact of the matter is - it is now 2019 and these types of songs have no place in a football stadium. In fact I would go as far to say that these types of songs have no place in society anymore.

No one should care about who won a battle hundreds of years ago. We have enough problems in the world in the present so why should we fixate so much on the past?

Now is the time for change, if we don't we risk losing everything we have fought for since 2012.

    Right then:

    Jones

    Barker

    Middleton albeit on loan

    McPake albeit on loan

    Grezda still here

    Murphy still here I think

And not mentioning Hastie or Stewart who could if necessary play there.

So why do we need Kent? Even if he is desperate to play for us.

Could he have performed any better than Jones did v Hibs and Myjtdelland away?

    Short answer - yes.

Defoe has a contract with Bournemouth.

Sturridge should struggle to get a really big money contract anywhere unless it's weighted towards a pay for play clause.

Anyone wanting to part with say 60K per week for Sturridge deserves all that is (not) coming.

An English club could easily offer Sturridge £80k a week without thinking about it.

McPake was too old for the Alkass tournament but played all over Europe with the youths last season and will be well known to these big clubs. We need to keep hold of him, he's the long term answer to our no 10 problem in my opinion and won't cost us anything.

I still can't believe we're trying to sign Kent with the number of attacking midfielders already on the books. Liverpool apparently looking for a hefty loan fee compared to last season too. Another season of me moaning about his lack of goals and assists and another season of all the fanboys saying "the goals and assists will come" and then decrying the usage of stats and americanisation of the game when they don't ?

Liverpool apparently don’t charge loan fees. Instead they add certain clauses and penalties.

  10. I am most concerned about Mike Mulraney. I live in Alloa and everyone who knows him or his brother could tell you how much their family hate anything remotely related to Rangers.

It is deeply concerning that a man of his character has managed to worm his way into the SFA.
