  1. They were watering it right up to kick off as well. The sprinkler was drenching the players as they waited for the get go.
  2. Dreadful interview, couldn't get away quick enough.
  3. Us Champions and Runners-up have got to stick together!
  4. Thanks to the 15 folk who were kind enough to agreed with #134; not often I get that measure of agreement round here.
  5. [QUOT FWIIW - I thought this was Garner's most constructive performance of the season in a game more suited to his style. I shudder to think what/how 'The Breadman' might have handled this situation... .......... thoughts !? Quite so not only has PC inherited dross but look at the injury list. There is non comparison whatsoever between PC and MW; surely that much is clear to everyone already.
  6. So he doesn't get any credit for that even though he or his companies underwrote the consequences when the rights issue was poorly taken up by fans?
  7. Even if SDM knew the exact details of the financing arrangement, which I don't think has been suggested by anyone (though I am not following every word so I'll stand to be corrected) it's clear from McGill's evidence that the bank would not have let it happen. Unless you think he perjured himself?
  8. And a more than decent steak pie and Irn Bru in the PT kiosko.
  9. It's a fact that we were outplayed by a decent Thistle side in the first half and at the start of the second half; but PC saw that and changed things. And we won the game despite the fact that a majority of these players will not be with us or if they are they will be squad players next season. We've lost twice badly to a Celtic team who we all know are streets head of us in every department. Other than that we've won 4 and drawn 2 in the league under Pedro with 12 for and 2 against and 4 clean sheets. I'd say that's a a more than reasonable record considering the lack of quality which is not his responsibility.
  10. In my opinion PC is doing the best he can with the dross that he has been gifted by MW. I like the way he changes tactics when Plan A isn't working and I don't care if he changes three times a game or three times a week, so long as we win. Today we started 4-3-3 or as Rousseau would have it 4-2-1-3. He took off Waghorn and sent on Hill , and your first thought is what the hell. But then you see it's actually an attacking move because we go 3 at the back in a 3-4-3. Then he loses Wilson and essentially we go 4-2-4 all out to win and it works. I am not going to criticise that one bit. We criticised MW for having no Plan B and all the pre-planned substitutions; now we have a real coach; what do folk want? Let's see who we can bring in and what next season brings before we start criticising PC. Give the man a chance.
  11. It was 4-3-3 to start with Miller playing deep.
  12. Yes as far as possible and it's perfectly clear that if Rangers or their bankers had known that the deal was being financed by the sale of 3 year's season ticket sales to Ticketus it would not have gone through. Quite apart from the questionable legality. What some seem to forget is that SDM is not on trial in this case (though he appears to be on trial here). I fully expect Whyte to be found guilty though Findlay's defence of obfuscation will no doubt mitigate the sentence.
  13. Thanks to Rousseau for posting the update within 45 min s of FT. I see that BH is up to 5th
  14. Plenty of tickets outside if anyone wants to come.
  15. If I can't sort it I'll buy it for you BD.
  16. Wallace didn't go when times were tough why would he want to go now?
  17. There is a certain amount of journalistic hyperbole here that detracts from his otherwise valid hypothesis. As I said, and was berated for elsewhere, most Rangers fans I know think that overall SDM was a good thing for Rangers FC. Without his ambition and financial backing (so what if it came from his companies) we would not have seen 9 in a row and all those fantastic players we can only dream about now. If he came along now and said he wanted to put the £50 million that DK said it take to get us back where we belong there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that he would be welcomed with open arms. There is also no doubt in my mind that DK would be glad to sell though he'd want more than the price of his current shares to terminate his interest. I'll wait for FS and others to tell me I'm out of touch with mainstream thinking (as if that's a criminal offence) and I'm happy to concede that very often I am, though nowhere near as often is sometimes portrayed. But I've asked numerous people about this so I'm confident I'm correct.
  18. The research does not prove that taking the first kick is the most significant factor.
  19. This is an interesting idea which comes into the category of "why did no one think of that before". Note that theoretically (assuming all kicks are scored and it's too complicated to work out otherwise) the slight reduction in pressure only comes off the 2nd and 4th kicker of the the team that loses the toss. Thus the importance of winning the toss is retained but reduced by 40% (2 kicks out of 5). However one wonders about the importance of home advantage and possibly also chosing ends which IIRC is usually a decision taken on security grounds before the match. And what about the massive advantage of playing extra time at home? I wonder what percentage of home teams win in extra time or on penalties? If UEFA truly want to emphasise sporting integrity perhaps they should go back to staging play offs on neutral grounds.
  20. You really are straining credulity in your bid to get L&L into everything I write, GS. But in answer to your question? NO, they are all still there, I am pleased to say.
  21. Maybe he/they think(s) that's where the game is tomorrow and checking out the pitch? Didn't Warriors play at Firhill at one point? Or a lesson in Parliamo Glesca? Or just bonding?
  22. Alves has all the right experience but seems to get sent off at least once a season in recent times. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bruno_Alves Nonetheless he should have a couple of seasons in him at our level and might be just the leader we need. Cagliari Calcio are doing reasonably well for a promoted team in Serie a, sitting 12th of 20; but they are losing more or less 2 goals a game and have the third worst goals against record in the league. No way of knowing how Alves has performed in those stats but he appears to have played 90 minutes in every game. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/brun.../spieler/13121
