  1. They should have given HIM harder time especially his constant "Just using the squad" and similar ridiculous statements.
  2. We could do with a house builder right now or someone with a private jet perhaps........
  3. I disagree. I am in no doubt that he meant what he said. It was not heat of the moment; it was said after the interview was over. It was a clear threat. Whether he would have said the same or similar to a man is irrelevant. He didn't like the line of questioning and made it clear how he would deal with any repetition. He apologised because it became public knowledge and he had to or lose his job. I would be astonished if he had not received a written warning from Sunderland as to his future conduct.
  4. Dundee City. Dundee is the most obvious choice. The city is going through a renaissance with the VA on the horizon bringing international recognition and the very real possibility of the teams ground sharing leading to eventual amalgamation.
  5. It was a rhetorical question, Ian, I know only too well that Mr D regards fans as cannon fodder.
  6. Speed isn't everything as is demonstrated by the fact that neither is in the team.
  7. Windass is simply not good enough. PC appears to have recognised that early and I expect him to show him the door in the summer.
  8. I have good reason to completely agree with your assessment; unfortunately I cannot say more for legal reasons.
  9. This is an utterly ridiculous decision; sacrificing a long standing traditional fixture only just reinstated (well almost) on the most spurious of grounds. What about consulting the fans, or don't our views count?
  10. Your a bit out of touch JFK. The Glasgow Fair exists in name only; it's a long time since it was regarded as a trade holiday. And even longer since Benidorm was a preferred holiday destination for most Glaswegians.
  11. Thanks for updates.
  12. The press conference should be interesting.
  13. Frankie's 2-1 prediction looking good?
  14. Playing with one defender is like going back to the football of the late 1800's. Are we playing a 1-9 formation?
  15. Thanks it's 5.30am here I see it's mental at Hamilton as well. Must be something to do with the date. Hope the reporters ask him about the subs not just the usual how did that feel for you then.
  16. Three of the back four off at half time; unprecedented surely? How have we lined up in the second half?
  17. What's gone wrong then? How about some expert analysis?
  18. I would take him because he is a proven goalscorer at top flight and international level and is a far superior player to anything else we have. In 2007 he was the most fouled against player in the group stages of the CL bar none and has amassed great experience since then. At 31 in September he should certainly be good enough for a 2 year deal but based on the sentiments expressed by some on here even if he scored a hat trick every week it's unlikely he would be acceptable to a section of tbe support.
  19. Just woke up in the middle of the night eleven time zones away. This has to be a nightmare or the BBC feed doing an April Fools Day; but no apparently it's Rangers defence still can't defend a corner. If I go back to sleep will the nightmare end?
  20. Thanks, perhaps I should have said "naughty". Type of error that can occur using your phone in the middle of the night. Fixed now.
  21. According to BBC Sport.. Former Scotland striker David Goodwillie has joined Clyde until the end of the season. The 28-year-old agreed to leave Plymouth Argyle in January after being ruled a rapist by a civil court in Edinburgh. Goodwillie last played on 14 January, scoring his only Plymouth goal as a late substitute. He goes straight into the Clyde squad for Saturday's League Two visit to bottom side Cowdenbeath. The visitors, who recently replaced manager Barry Ferguson with players Peter MacDonald and JP McGovern, are four points above the Central Park hosts. Goodwillie, capped three times, started his career at Dundee United, moving to Blackburn Rovers for a £2m fee in 2011. He also had a spell at Aberdeen, as well as loan periods at Crystal Palace, Blackpool and Ross County. How the mighty have fallen.
  22. It's a myth that Hodson doesn't attack. In fact he is better at getting to the bye line than Tavernier who tends to cross from deep. All around IMO Hudson is a much better player.
