I have them for seven consecutive seasons from 1960-61 set up on Imgur with the intention of writing a series of articles but never got past the first one; I'll get back to it at some point.

Yes it was on my bedroom wall as well, I think you can see the holes from the drawing pins.

That had me chuckling

There surely must be decent players in Portugal (or Mexico) for example who would jump at the chance of coming here. I'm sure our wages will be higher than most Portuguese teams and there is a chance of honours and Europe.

Well, fair enough, but we are discussing Rangers Interim Accounts not any other club. A certain other club not a million miles away may have more room for error. Whilst we may have been unlucky with injuries etc, that will always be a factor; but It is well documented that only one of our 11 signings is a regular in the team, and good as he has been, realistically, he is not part of our future. That said, I have a strong feeling that Pedro won't be hunting in the English League 1 or 2 and that unlike MW he will not bring in players who sometimes can't even get a place on the bench.

First team vs reserves was when they took the pre-season picture. I never did get past Part 1 of the series I was going to write

The difference between income and operating expenses e.g. player's wages; but excluding the "other charges".
-
Nearly half a million pounds of "other charges" with no comparable last year as TB points out, is a lot of dosh, even in £16 million turnover. It is pleasing to note Revenue for the period was £16.3m, an overall increase of £5.3m over the comparative period. This was a result of three main factors:- enhanced attendance; increasing ticketing and hospitality revenue by £3.5m; the return to the SPFL Premiership this season; generating a £0.8m increase in the central funds received by the Club; a much improved performance in sponsorship and commercial revenues; aided by being back in the top league. However Operating expenses, excluding amortisation of players’ registrations, increased by £4.1m compared to the comparative period. This increase is driven by three main factors:- a substantial increase in the player pool costs, to allow the team to be competitive in the Premiership; (not all of it effective!) an increase in matchday costs, such as policing and stewarding, reflecting the higher profile of this season’s matches; (unavoidable) an increase to overheads in the business as the Board continues to re-establish best practices throughout the Club. (understandable)

The first team always played the reserves pre-season, IIRC it was sometimes referred to as Rangers Sports Day (or that might have been something else) or something like that with a bit of athletics thrown in for good measure.

If he gets back to the form he showed at Inverness and better then he'll do for me.

I think that he's naturally a more attacking player than Toral, he's scored a fair few goals in his time, such as these two I understand he's 3/4 years older now but if he could give us a couple of seasons even if he could only play 60-75 minutes it would be superb. Edit: I know he only has one year left on his contract and another year or two after that would obviously depend on his performances next season and his own ambitions.

As BD sets out, a loan as such does not affect your profit and loss account; however the cost of the loan i.e. the interest you pay is a cost, so that affects your P&L. If no interest is paid on the loans then it has no effect on on your P&L.

If you upload your image to Imgur then you have various sizes options for the link to paste here e. g. original or small, medium or large thumbnail.

I think we would be much more likely to be able to get Toral but his wages will be a big issue. Best hope with Hyndman might be a new season long loan. But to my mind an even bigger problem is McKay. IIRC he only signed a one year extension to end of next season and has only performed in occasional patches. He was ineffective last week and largely anonymous yesterday. So we need to get him performing and we need to get him signed if we are to benefit from a decent transfer fee if he leaves in due course. -

The big difference that I saw today was that the ball went from back to front much quicker and I credit Toral in particular with that transition but praise is also due to Holt and Hyndman for their high tempo contributions. Wilson is benefitting from playing alongside Hill as Kiernan did earlier in the season and deserves to keep his place. Hodson was outstanding last week and must be bewildered at finding himself once again warming the bench. It was great to see us hitting the bye line and getting in good cutbacks early on; if we just had a quality striker to finish them off we would be in a much better place. I'm looking forward to seeing Caxainha bring sustained progress over the next two months. -

Surprised at this team was looking for 4-4-2. -

I very much doubt that their Lordships are concerned about Rangers or Celtic. -

I'm not saying it's simple at all but I didn't hear any mention of the side letters; I think that's a red herring in the context of the appeal. -

I'll be quite surprised if we lose this. On the basis of the current tax law and precedents (some of which he was involved in creating) as put forward by our QC, we have or appear to have a strong case, which, it is worth remembering has been twice upheld in the lower courts. Also the facts as determined by the First Tier are not in dispute, a fact that our man kept hammering. It seems to me that HMRC want the court to rewrite the law to meet their interpretation and that is something that courts are usually loathe to do. -

Even I would be tempted by that.
