That's a very fair point. I did say it came to me second hand but my source and my source's source have known each other a lifetime and what I can say without giving away the source is: it wasn't a director or a member of staff, but he is a regular in the director's box. Please do not press me further.

As I said at #44 under "Disgraceful" I think his body language tells you everything you need to know; the world or at least Rangers' world is on his shoulders and he is not bearing the burden very well. I would be tempted to make Papac or Bocanegra the captain and see if that released Davis to play with a bit more freedom.

As I said in the OP the story about Jelavic being sold and the reason for it came to me from inside the director's box and I thought others here would be interested. So far its got 695 views and 88 posts.

Last Chance to Complete the Supporters Direct Scotland Survey
BrahimHemdani replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
More than the two-thirds they get already; do you want to kill the other teams altogether? Seriously there is a section where you can add suggestions to improve Scottish Football. -
That's the bit I find hard to understand; they were getting their million a year plus interest, what was the problem, other than wanting to be out of football altogether.

Could his hill be in South Africa with connections to a BMW dealer?
-
That's my view.
-
Ellis had a 5-year plan (or perhaps just an ambition) to develop the assets and then sell off the Club; perhaps he sold it (the plan) to Whyte. The offshore connection needs more investigating.
-
Why do you doubt that BD, it would mean that it isn't in the public eye any more as everyone inc Whyte says it is cleared.

Last Chance to Complete the Supporters Direct Scotland Survey
BrahimHemdani replied to BrahimHemdani's topic in Rangers Chat
Last chance to complete the SD Survey on things like: league structures television revenues and their distribution season starts and winter closedown supporter representation on club boards supporter representation on national football issues support for a Scottish Football Supporters Network Last year's survey definitely contributed to the failure of the SPL Plan to reduce the league to 10 teams. Make sure your voice is heard this year. The survey closes on the 31st. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/LWDRPV8 -
That's the best explanation I've heard yet, would explain a lot of the secrecy surrounding Whyte's finances that Johnston & Co found so troubling. I can do some more digging, I have "a source close to LBG".

All Transfer Rumours and silly season stuff
BrahimHemdani replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
He's a goalscoring machine. -
They don't get on the bench!
-
Yes there are, but he's a businessman used to taking risks; he's in a no lose situation because I don't believe it's all or mostly his money and even if it is and we win the case he gets the Club for £18M and makes his money developing the land in the SW corner.
-
This what I have said along, we are not "debt free" we just owe the money to Whyte's company (who probably owe it to LBG) rather than directly to the bank. A circular deal as you say.
-
If you heard it then you should report it to the police and ask them what they are going to do about it.
-
We needed Weir before we got Goian and Bocanegra but Healy makes no sense to me whatsover.
-
Three possible explanations that I can see: The company owns some property from previous deals and has used it as collateral to borrow the money and if their bankers are truly LBG then no money need have changed hands, just the debt moved from Rangers to Whyte's company (which would assume that LBG like him more than they like Rangers or (perhaps football clubs in general)). He has backers who are not listed as directors (it was strongly rumoured that Ellis' backers were Saudis, so perhaps that's why he is on board) He has some money of his own from previous deals. Or some combination of the above. No hard evidence just speculation on my part but as previously stated I was in contact with Ellis' representative in Guernsey during the time of his bid.
-
Sorry to tell you mate he's off in January. Between Weir, Healy and Beattie the wages are £50,000/week. They tried to punt all three in the summer but only got rid of Beattie.
-
Or not at all. Watch Barcelona, they have outstanding players but they are super fit and work like fuck and close down and win the ball back double time.
-
Can you interpret the numbers?
-
Whyte surely has some backers in the offshore company who are not listed as directors but my info is that Ellis doesn't have the dosh. I think Ellis is just a mistake, somehow he conned Whyte into thinking he really knew about this stuff (or maybe Whyte just thought he was useful and he isn't) and he doesn't. I'll do more digging on the Whyte/Ellis relationship, if there is one.

Perhaps, but Rangers might be able to insist on all or most of the money up front and if not they could use it as collateral. What I am not sure off is whether or not having the asset of money owed would be taken into account in the administration or just any cash in the bank; my accountancy head tells me the former but perhaps Craig or BD would know the answer to that. Also they might be able to get it paid to the holding company which is offshore; not sure if they would get away with that either. All I can say is that the info about the sale or intended sale was solid (it didn't come from another site) and seemed to be backed up by the apparent offer yesterday.
