  1. Im confused as to why a thread about Kilmarnock is in Rangers chat room. Werent Killie the only club to publically back Rangers staying in the SPL???
  2. Time will tell but I dont think he will go on to being a great one. The set up at Swansea was done before he went there. Martinez started it and Pablo Sousa took it on, Rodgers carried the batton and now Laudrup has improved them.
  3. Agree with Gav...overrated. A good player who played in a cracking team...was always average in an England shirt. Doesnt get into the class of Gerrard, Scholes, Keane and Vieira.
  4. Whilst talk of resigning former players is always exaggerated and unrealistic there is no doubt Mols would have done a cracking job for us in the last 2 years. He only hung his boots up not too long ago and is a) still fit and b) still oozes quality.
  5. With hindsight I think he was another player Mentor Weir made look good thanks to the latters class and qualities. He left far too early and could have gained a lot more experience and then his time in England might not have been non-existant.
  6. But he was leaving Utd anyway as they offered him a pay reduction....things not hard without Rangers are they Mr Thompson? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21020328
  7. Great timing by Southampton to save Blackpool and turn them from relegation to promotion candidates.
  8. Of course it is but how are bridges ever going to be built when the mindset is wanting to be in the country domestically but wishing the national team getting thumped. One day paps like Regan wont be around and if we dont move south then Im hoping things can be mended on all fronts for the good of the game.
  9. Thats a downer for me, McGhee Motherwell apart has been awful every club he's been at. I felt Gary McAllister was a shoe in for this position.
  10. A move for the money and lifestyle, however considering Fat Frank has been a good player (in a good side) then he deserves a wind down. If I was him Id have had 1 year at either Man Utd or Arsenal then made the move. I think he'd still have gotten this move 12 months down the line and he could have had another couple of medals in his cabinet if he moved to Utd.
  11. He was about 22, 23 then and still ran about like a 53 year old, whats he going to be like now!
  12. Do I even need to give my opinion??? One of the biggest myths ever was 'No Boyd = No Goals = No Title'. He has failed everywhere since leaving Ibrox and to be dumped out of the Portland Timbers says it all.
  13. Agree....and on another thread he doesnt want leave Rangers to leave the Scottish league...confused.com
  14. Thats all the teething problems that need to be looked at. I wouldnt opt for a move down south unless there was no restrictions and we played on the same rules as everyone else....i.e. we can be promoted to the Premier league, compete in the FA and League cup plus qualify for europe. Given 2-3 seasons in the Premier League Id expect us to grow financially on levels with Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs etc. Chelsea and Man City are financially in a league of their own due to the owners and Man Utd have grown in mass stature since the turn of the millenium.
  15. There are some decent sides in Leagues 2 and 1 in England. Bradford are a former BPL side in the lowest tier then League 1 is also getting stronger with currently the likes of Coventry, Portsmouth and Sheff Utd. In the last 10 years this league has had the likes of Forest, Leeds, Leicester, Charlton, Sheff Wed, QPR and of course Man City playing in it. I think England is the way forward to building a massive Rangers. Climbing back up through the Scottish leagues is a good adventure but we'll eventually hit the dour SPL again. We all want European football again but I would rather see 4-5 years of going through the English set up than waiting around the same periodin Scotland to struggle in the CL again. It will be a nice fairytale when we hear the CL theme at Ibrox again but people forget the product on the pitch might not be too competitive.
  16. For me the SPL sides have shown their tru colours, not that we didnt know this already. They hate us and kick us when we are down yet they still want to USE us for their own financial gains. I say wash the hands with the lot of them. Id jump at the chance to move to the Blue Square league. Im pretty sure Swansea fans are having the times of their lives right now and dont feel like they should be playing in the Welsh league. Cardiff will be the same next season....and when these 2 meet next season in the Premier league it will be a massive occasion.
  17. The problem is we have practically had a 2-10-10-10-10 system since the mid 90s. It wont really matter what the numbers are Rangers and Celtic will always be so far ahead in their leagues. Therefore pleasing everyone is going to be impossible. But the best option is 18-12-12 rather than 12-12-18 although 20-22 would be my preference with regional leagues below that. I dont see the point in swapping the numbers around to add or take away a couple of teams, the only change there will in name.
  18. Alan Gow the 2nd...
  19. The World Cup will probably be out of reach now due to Levein messing up, so the rest of the campaign can be for Strachan to install is his ideas then go for Euro 2016. If the SFA had the balls to do this at the start of the campaign then we'd have had a great chance to go to Brazil.
  20. Like I said the other day, some people think that hearing CL music at Ibrox again will be the be all and end all and equal success. When there is a bigger plan that should be in place. And moving to England doesnt necessary mean there would be no CL football, if we are registered in the same way as Swansea and Cardiff then European football is allowed....should Swansea win the Capital Cup they are in Europe.
  21. Gribz

    Ra airport

Worldwide marketing is where Kuznetzov has a point....I can count on 1 hand the amount of times Ive seen a Rangers shirt during 8 years in Asia yet regularly see a hooped horror shirts going about.
  22. The English FA avoided Arry like the plague so Im sure they would be against his thoughts on this.
  23. Im baffled by him also, nothing at Portsmouth and Blackpool now Blackburn have chased him and got him. And while Blackpool isnt a glamourous club who in their right mind would go to Blackburn in its current state.
  24. 10/10 for enthusism
