  1. Got to think about the fact of being in the SPL with almost a youth team and a points deduction, we may even get relegated! In that scenario id rather start in Div 3 and work our way back. If they vote us in then they get more income from TV and our support for that season but overhauling a 25 point gap when all our top players have left would be a horrible situation. Teams and their so called fans would get kicks out of us facing relegation. If we could keep our best players Id bet on us staying up but we'd be around 7th or 8th. Its not only us who wont be playing European football, this has a massive knock on effect because we gain the majority of co-efficient points for SPL clubs. The SPL runners up and Cup winners would only see Europa league qualifiers and would need to play about 5 rounds to get near the group. Celtic who would likely win the league would probably have to play 2 qualifiers and could be unseeded and come up againt some tough teams and I dont see Mulgrew and Co getting past the likes of Arsenal, Inter or Marseille.
  2. Greece and Russia.
  3. Pretty shocked TBH. What now on the footballing side of things? The other 11 have to vote to allow us to play in the SPL? What is the percentage needed for that?
  4. I think the bit that pisses them off the most is we received 5.5m from Everton.
  5. One thing is certain, neither England or France will win this tournament. Considering England had Chamberlain, Young, Gerrard, Milner and Welbeck they still defended with 2 banks of 4. France are trying to play like Spain but dont have near the same quality. They arent frightning at all. in Euro 04 and WC 06 they had Thuram, Vieria, Zidane, Henry, Anelka, Treziguet....all monsters above 6 feet, but they could all play. Wouldnt be surprised if Ukraine and Sweden went through from this group.
  6. The daily double is 2 draws.
  7. Ive a sneaky feeling on Italy to at least get a draw. 4 times World Champs....they will be well up for this. A not bad treble is a Spanish Treble....Nadal in the tennis, Spain to beat Italy and Alonso in the GP.
  8. Oi!! Im on pedantic duty in this thread
  9. I see what your saying. He does come across as a genuine type but at the same time Im not buying him on face. He's in a no win and no lose situation at the moment. Decisions are out of his hands and the fans have their opinions. If he takes over we wont be blindly guided, we've learned our lessons from Murray. There is people who you can distrust instantly, Whyte seemed to be one. Green doesnt strike me as that type. There is a lot of naive fans who will only like someone if they come in with Man City money so all debt is wiped and we're signing players tomorrow. Those fans have to realise we arent going to get that investment and the situation is sticky. I havent posted much on the Administration issue since February, Ive just been monitoring and reading so many multiple issues and opinions with nothing being resolved. Hopefully this Thursday brings out some answers one way or another.
  10. I kinda do trust Green but at the same time I think he see's a few quid in this for himself as much as he is trying to save Rangers. Green seems to be more open and talks more, he may not have all answers but nobody does at the moment and until after the 14th and what 'punishments' are handed out nobody will. I like the fact he is more prepared to answer a question and make a statement....comparing that to Whyte who never made an appearence at the club because he was too busy munching lobster in Monaco! The fans have had a lot of betrayal from Murray and Whyte plus a few others so its right that everyone is going to be in a skeptical frame of mind. But if nobody attempts to get us out of it then we wont exist as a club. One thing I think is Green certainly isnt out to sabbotage the club. I genuniely believe he will try to get us out of Administration but thats out of his hands.
  11. Maybe they are trying to get me back on behalf of my mate. He won a bet years ago and they instantly paid out only for a Stewards enquiry to be called and change the result.
  12. What I will say about the USA and Scotland. One is managed by a world class striker who was a winner and brought up playing real football. The other is managed by a Sunday league manager.
  13. Couple of good points. I thought the Dutch were going to be too reliant on Sneider TBH. Agree on Ronaldo, he has all the skill and talent in the world when it comes off but if not he doesnt sit in the middle of the park pulling strings like Gerrard, Scholes, Xavi, Iniesta, Zidane etc....Thats why I couldnt see Portugal winning the tournament, they dont have that type of player and are needing Ronaldo to hit form like the same way you said the Dutch need Robben to open up defences.
  14. Im dubious of anything online these days. I placed a bet with William Hill and they gladly took my money....my bet came up and no winnings were returned. When I called they stated I had to verify my age! Cheats!! They gladly took the cash in the first place. Means Im down in the bets in the Euros, Ive had 3 predictions out of 4 correct but not bet a penny due to them!.
  15. After seeing the last Scotland squad Im struggling to name 5 who was in that!!!
  16. The Dutch had to win that game because they have the Germans next and I can only see 1 team out playing the other. Germany getting past Portugal will give them mass confidence and now they can knock out the Dutch. Fair play to the Danes, they could be the ones who sneak out of this group now.
  17. You wonder why Wenger persists with Arshavin on the left wing for Arsenal when he has always been a player who plays behind the main striker. On his day playing behind Van Persie they could be unstoppable.
  18. Just to be a pedantic sod (Craig isnt online so I'll do the honours ) A few hundred out of 80000 full San Siro is still less than 1%.
  19. Defintely right in saying the Russians are a dark horse. Banker for the group. But problem is they face someone from Group B. But the fact they are playing practically in their own back yard gives them a chance. Still early days though. The Czech's are a poor side at the moment. Looking forward to tonights matches. Will show us all about this group of death.
  20. Someone to give everyone a lift on and off the park. Obviously has huge desire for Rangers. He'll inject a huge spark into the midfield, is far more mobile than McCulloch and a better tackler than Edu. If he gives us an hour every week then Id be delighted. Likes of Hutton and Ness will only improve and thrive next to Rino. An absolute yes from me!
  21. TBH it was the first thing I wondered when I saw the thread on the opening day. I was wondering when was the last time the Queen pulled on the Rangers shirt and ran out the tunnel.
  22. From my first post the only different one I had was England to go through in runners up spot.....they always seem to get out their group.
  23. Thierry Henry springs to mind.
  24. On another thread he says he doesnt know what league we'll be in. Dont think a trip to Germany would be necessary if we are in Div 3. Id have thought an Ibrox glamour tournament as a fund raiser would have been a better option. Or is this already in the plans???
  25. Probably someone who failed on the right!!! But nothing class since McCann or Albertz. Lovenkrands on his game was good but was also better through the middle
