Snatched from FF: A czech news outlet iz.sport are linking us with a move for Patrik Hrosovsky we were linked with him earlier on in the window he's probably the best midfielder we've been linked with imo. He's played with hagi at gent we want the loan to buy option while they want us to but him straight away for 3.5 million

Yep. It is what people want to pay for him rather than what Scum FC dreams up (or we about Alfredo, in fact). At the end of the day, they'll miss out on the CL jackpot again and no-one knows what they rake in for Rogic, Ntcham et al. Shon Weissmann of Wolfsberger ... here it probably depends on what he wants. Schalke is being mentioned, but a) they are not a team that will win anything or pay extreme wages and b) have no money right now either. EDIT ... Weissmann is off to Spain

Essentially his second proper game for us. I would hazard a guess that SG put the challenge to him and right now he looked somewhat overly eager as Kent did and occasionally does. The final ball of both have sure a level or two to go up. On another day, we should have had 5 or more ... Kent, Roofe and Barker alone. Talking about our runners, from the 65th min onwards we could have easily thrown on Stewart, Jones and Arfield too. I will never understand why we leave it so late (with 5 subs now), when it essentially hardly makes any sense bar eating up a few seconds, which is surely not what we needed today.

Away days ... I fully expect the return of the 4-2-3-1. Hopefully only as long as we have figured out Accies' approach. Maybe Itten up top, Roofe leftish and Kent on the right, with Hagi in the middle. Jack and Kamara as DMs. Perhaps we give Arfiled a call, being a more attack-minded CM than Kamara or Jack, but still a workhorse - which will most likely be required.

Performance-wise, earlier this year, I envisaged Barker being the first to be moved. As it seems, Murphy and Jones are the most likely to go, with Stewart being the only one of the "fringe"-wingers/strikers making the bench. SG said a wee while back that they know what Barker can do, yet he has/had some sort of mentality issue, i.e. the belief in himself and his ability. You would hope that a few more games will break that barricade and he goes on and builds on last weekend.

Sadly not true. They reached the money-spinning group phase ever since 2011/12 ... and raked in millions that - in turn - hardly anyone speaks about in Scotland, millions, that put them into their own high strata way way above anyone else in Scotland, making winning league titles as easy as Bayern Munich winning the Bundesliga 3 every season. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celtic_F.C._in_European_football#By_season

Not sure who reported what, but TM is rather accurate here and says 19.8m for Dembele and 24.3m for Tierney. It is, in any case, quite "interesting" to note the mhedia silence about the mega-deals of the Scum when applauding their "achievements" in the so-called "9IAR" time, when they essentially had a squad assembled for 30odd million costing more in wages per season than the entire Premiership has paid in in transfer fees over the period of our absence. I would harbour a guess that those sales - not least to Southampton - actually kept them afloat and going, with the large squad and inflated wages et al. That, and the regular participation in the CL (and "funnily" enough, UEFA threw ever more cash after the CL teams during that period). Let's hope the Hungarians put them to the sword tomorrow ... the howls of anguish about these unfair single-game play-offs will last till x-mas ...
