Match Thread [FT] Hibernian 3 - 3 Rangers (Igamane 4, 19, 74)

General points ... shyte conditions taking its toll too: Bajrami had a decent start, but fell out of it. Could have chopped earlier for Matondo or Cortes, as there was so much space to run into. Raskin worked tirelessly, but was done after 75 mins at the latest. Might have been replaced with Barron. Diomande does some many need things and finds nice spaces, but has a knack of overdoing it and then loses the ball. Nice to have, but today more power and precision was needed, at least in the second half. Be he seems somehow undroppable.Even with Danilo and/or Dowell on the bench. Ridvan tried his best today, but it isn't his side and he got caught out a few times. Also liked to overrun his ball or hold to the ball too long. Could have been a moment to test 3 at the back in the 2nd half, but we are simply running out of centre-halfs. -

If Sterling is out now, we might play Dessers at centre-half ... To bad we missed out on Gogic, he signed a new contract till 2027 this summer. We sure do not need someone who needs to find his feet in the Scottish game. -

Still at a loss why we play 9 games in a month were we had none before. Tough weather condition, tough opponents, and ravaged by injuries. I might have taken a point before the game, given Hibs' recent form. Yet, after watching it, two points were thrown away, mainly by giving the ball away with silly short or displaced passes, and overdoing it in their penalty area. oh so unnecessary. They played rather open, so where there for the taking, but from the 30th minute onwards, we executed it not often and/or well enough. The project tumbles on. -

Oh so unnecessary. Starting to play from the back again, and they look for everything and got it there. -

... that Raskin header on Thursday was a goal in all but name, though. -

Lost our way after some 35 mins and gave away far too many corners and free-kicks. Wonder how that offside call at their goal went. Hibs play as open as the Yahoos, so we found and will find space to kill them off. Bajrami had two good chances, Cerny one. We need to make more of those count on days like these. -

Sidenote: How did we get from a 14-day winter break in January to 9 games in the same month? -

... Sakala, on the other hand! 😎 -
These Thursday games usually take care of themselves, and have for years. They are not the problem. As was pointed out above, Clement's OF games were ravaged by heinous refereeing and missed opportunities in front of goal, rather than Celtic superiority. What they do as opposed to us is to put the rabble of the Premiership to the sword. That's the main task for every Rangers manager and even SG managed to work it out only once. That's the reality we face. Maybe the momentum from yesterday will be carried over for the next few, game-ladden weeks.

You know, the xG mumbo jumbo means as much to me as people swooning over quarter-backs in the NFL, who are super brilliant, yet their teams lose time and again. Today, another striker to harass their centre-halfs might have worked wonders. As it is, they play triangles with the goalie and let the one striker run around. I would expect Bajrami to support Igamane, but he's not doing it.

As soon as we ran at them, they look vulnerable. Some better finishing would have seen us well ahead, but the old illness strikes again. Would have liked to see Danilo ahead of Bajrami and as it turned out, it would have been a wise choice. Pröpper fouled in the area, no penalty. Johnston elbows Hagi in the neck, no card. Hagi fouled from behind, no foul. But an elbow and some debate earns you yellows. These black creeps are more annoying than the looks of McGregor and Johnston.
