  1. Alas, news travel much slower from the other side of the planet, thus there is much more time to warp it a bit to the tune of the Scottish media. (Maybe we should Tango the lot of them ...)
  2. At least it is baseball, not American Football.
  3. Still favour a membership scheme (like Motherwell's) over any share issue, especially if shares are "worthless" when it comes to a voice on the board or towards the chairman (who owns hundreds of thousands of shares (usually not bought for 12 to 1000 pounds per share). The members can vote for a "president/representative" who will be in direct contact with the chairman and be among the directors ... if all goes according to plan. It may not work out with smaller clubs like Dundee, but if we do this right, with a decent enough understanding between the chairman and ths support, it is the way ahead and hands the club a greater annual income and thus a "fixed security".
  4. Maybe I'm wrong, but any new owner (of the shares) can sell the club to his heart's content if someone gives him the money?
  5. Some people's lifes are not measured like we do this, you know?! Like finding to Buddha or the like. Or a new wife (husband), getting a child and whatnot. And each time a new life begins ... Obviously, I do not read too much into any such comments. We hardly have a clue what he actually said in the first place with regards to the 72 finale and Greig lifting the trophy. And I for one do not care. If he takes Rangers over and gets them on track again, he could collect shoes for his 3 wifes or sing Samoan warsongs ...
  6. BlueMazza won't reply, as this is not the relevant field (thread) of play. And she's already noted that. Gersnet sure has a board for such debate.
  7. Not sure about that. As long as he's not on the table, he's no threat. IMHO, much of what is being made of him possibly having a disruptive influence or someone looking with "intent" is probably ill-meant/story-driven media stuff.
  8. So in essence, to have him lingering about with the intent to save us from liquidation (and himself from the wrath of his Rangers-daft wife) can't be that bad?!
  9. Not sure here, but with regard to personal / liquid wealth, who would actually top the list? Ng, Miller, or Kennedy?
  10. I ken, but nae in the Rangers Den!
  11. *********** ****? My first guess was Squarepants Sponge-Bob, but ... :admin: too long!
  12. (And now back to Rangers and footie, cheers )
  13. Maybe so. Regarding Ng or Miller, not speaking about their plans in detail now does not mean that they do not like the idea. There are quite a few things to consider here though (creditors wanting the most of their money, hence Ng & Miller won't show all cards) and I wouldn't put it past Murray to cater to the Rangers legions to put pressure on HMRC here. (Nothing against Murray, just trying to stay objective here.)
  14. Snatched from the BBC ... in a negative headline shocker: Essentially, Ticketus have talked to him, but no deal has been made as yet. So who told TBK that Ng had a deal with Ticketus? Mulder, Scully, can you have a look in please?
  15. A touch more on topic ... who is to say that Ng (or any other new "owner") won't be open to the idea of a membership scheme, if only to initially raise money? If the right people approach him with a right concept, I think reason will prevail with people like him. Rather than some pompous good old British-style would-be-king chairman.
  16. Yeah, I got that, but was wondering how you can actually "buy" preferred bidder status when the admins' job is to look after the creditors first and foremost ... and said 500k might not exactly swell the creditors' return that much?
  17. I call that the Disfunctional Reality Perception syndrom.
  18. "Craig is our European football expert and keeps a keen eye on all the happenings in the football's home continent." ... aye right! He looks like a 16-year old who just managed to find out how to do C&P ...
  19. On a sidenote and in relation to this news in the Independent, what is this 500k fee about? Does this say that if TBK had raised the 500k, they would have been named preferred bidders, no matter what the other bids are saying? Like a "daylight robbery" sort of bribe to jump ahead in the queue? When D&P should have the interest of the creditors to look after? Well ...
  20. They ... actually believe that Fortune scored a good goal against us when he man-handled McGregor's arm out of the way.
  21. The point with people like him is that they seem (sic!) to be the fastest to report on anything, thus they get many clicks and a certain draw. And as long as some of what they report holds an ounce of info (and/or truth), it does not matter how much conjecture or garbage is carried along the way with it. Some call it gutter press ...
  22. Remember the Lafferty / Loovens saga? They were ultra-quick to invent a new law for Lafferty and hit him with a 2-/3-game (?) ban, but it took them months to convict Loovens for the Edu challenge, a challenge that took the US chap out for that season ... and it was a meagre 1 game ban, if memory does not fail me.
  23. ... and Mr. Whyte gets free flights to Malaysia and Hongkong for 5 years.
  24. I would assume that we will never know.
  25. Do these people down there have to commit ritual suicide if they bring shame to the family?
