SFL chief David Longmuir trumpets the launch of SFL TV
GovanAllan replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
They should pay attention, this is what happens when the biggest draw is looked after and made feel welcome everybody wins. -
I still can't stomach that we would have to give half of our season ticket sales to the rest of the league. Why not have every team put 25% of all ticket sales in a pot and split it evenly between all the teams.
-
I hear you mate, I wonder who many of the fans around Scotland wish they could rewind the clock back, and before the lynch mob started everyone had just took a moment to pause and take a breath.
-
Agree with all that except the 50/50 gate split, where I would move on is the TV money should be split evenly between the clubs and any money Rangers gather from worldwide sales on their own TV the team we are playing should get a cut of this money.

Bill McMurdo - Whatâ??s Really Going On In Scotland In 2012

6 pack in the fridge, wee man in his bed before the crack of dawn. Enjoy. -
The guys in charge of Hearts decided to side with those small-minded vindictive fans instead of looking after the clubs best interest, so again I'm not surprised when the Rangers fans stick two fingers up at them. I'm not complaining, they wanted it like this well they've got it.

Do you not get one of those nice soft seats to sit on.

Mate were going round about in circles here again, I think there should be less teams you don't. You want responsible people who run their clubs right to be used to prop up the clubs who should be left to fall by the way side. Don't think either of us will find middle ground on this. For the record I hope Hearts survive, but only after they have had the same rules applied to them as we had.
-
Your missing the point a bit here they agreed the rules that they used to hammer us with, but you think those same rules shouldn't be applied to them. I take it if someone was to come up and smacked in the face because you had a better car and a bigger house had made more of your life than he had, your first thought would be you know what I really need to buy his guy a drink.
-
You know that feeling you get when your heading to the game a kind of mix between excitement and dread, when your not sure if you will win you should but its against a team who could beat you if your not at your best and it will be a great game. The feeling I only get when we have to play them or a big European night. Imagine that feeling more than a handful of times a season that's what I want to get back to in Scottish Football.

You just hear the media sigh, you Rangers fans its just all tit for tat with you. Can't you see it's just the craic so it is. -
Yes mate just along the road from Hamilton, so I know what happens a lot of Hamilton, Motherwell kids support Rangers or Celtic. Personally I would rather Hearts didn't disappear and I don't think they will, but imagine the force a Edinburgh team could be or if the rest of the Glasgow teams outwith us and them got together, one Dundee team instead of two.
-
Some people didn't seem to think about the long term when they wanted us crucified day after day, so forgive me if I'm not that sympathetic and looking for an even hand when it comes to dishing out punishment. All in the name of Sporting Integrity of course.
-
You will have a dip, but if you get the restructure right and give them something to watch the next generation of kids who have never heard of Hearts or Dunfermline will hear about the great football and want to go watch. I'm not saying for a minute it's not going to be painful its going to hurt like Hell. But the game as we know it in Scotland is dead it just doesn't know it yet, time to put it out its misery and start again while we still can, because the day is fast approaching when nothing will be left to save.
-
So why not get rid of the dross first, then share the wealth out to the strong clubs left behind who will use the new money well and improve their clubs on and off the pitch. Less clubs more money for the rest as well.
-
Not always mate, my sons pals are a pretty varied bunch and equally split amongst the SPL teams. Yes you are going to get more Rangers/Septic there's nothing you can do to change that.
-
Summer football would be a great idea as well.
-
If the football on show at the end of their street is that bad they won't watch it then can you blame them. My kids sit glued to the EPL all week, but they still sitting waiting on a Saturday eager to get to the Rangers game.
-
Restructure yes, but for the right reasons and that's the football on the pitch not so we can hang on to the clubs who will never get their act together. I refuse for the money that I put into football to be used to prop up clubs who will not get their act together. Totally serious, our club was run just like the rest on the never and it finally caught up with us. If we aren't a view of the Armageddon caused when you don't run your club right I don't know what is.

The RST have a major PR job on their hands, yes they have made mistakes. But like the club they deserve a clean slate and a chance to prove themselves.
