  1. “I am proud to have played my part in helping the right people regain control of our fantastic club. It was a long struggle but words can never describe the joy and thrill of winning that critical EGM. That memory will remain with me forever.

“There is still much to do but I am confident that the board will not fail our supporters, whose never-ending loyalty drives our club forward, and I thank each and every one of you for the tremendous backing we have received. I am looking forward to returning to my place beside you every week.

“Finally, let me say it has been a privilege to serve this wonderful club and its supporters at boardroom level. It has been like living the dream and I am honoured to be able to say that I was deemed worthy to be a director of this Scottish institution and the greatest football club in the world.”

Sad to see John go tbh.

  2. The guy is hardly through the doors and is being slaughtered from every angle. Compare it to Cathro, who is fairing far worse in his job, and who even has an ally in Sutton ffs (had to laugh at him of all people saying PC has verbal diarrhoea). I've never seen a manager be attacked so much so quickly. Its disgusting.

I would like to see our fans who don't have confidence in him contain their criticism with some recognition of the fact that he's not just Pedro the manager - he's OUR Pedro. Don't give the vultures scraps to feed on. We don't have a club who will stand up for the fight and defend us. But we sure as hell have a manager who will fight any detractors until the bitter end. He has a track record of creating a siege mentality (he did it at Santos Laguna and they ended up winning the Mexican league which is not to be scoffed at). Maybe a siege mentality is what we need, because we are NEVER going to win any 'friends' - we are hated with a passion. He is going to try and bring players with a physical presence, as Portuguese managers like to do these days, which I'm all for. He will bring fighters that he can trust and I believe we will not see our side intimidated or pushed around again. He will tell our players its us against the world and he will believe it. He will instill the passion on and of the park. He may or may not get it right, but he deserves our support. If he is ready to defend all things Rangers does he not deserve our support? He sure as hell aint getting it from the club. Get intae them!!!

  3. He will stroll this league if he signs, I cant wait.

PC seems to be pouring a bit of scorn on the story by saying “Bruno Alves is a great player. I would like to sign him, Ronaldo and Messi.”

  4. Eight EPL clubs supposedly operated EBT's too. Did they cheat ?

And Spanish clubs owe billions in tax last I read. Did they cheat ?

I'd just like to know why HMRC chose to go after Rangers in the first place but that's another discussion entirely.

And some were used even closer to home! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/rangers/9543866/Ally-McCoist-baffled-by-SPL-decision-not-to-investigate-Celtics-EBT-payment-to-Juninho.html

  5. This appointment really baffles me.

If we got 60 applicants, in what universe does a CV like Pedro's get past the first round of selections onto even our longest of long lists? Show me the list of the 60 CV's we got in for the job and I will pick 30 better candidates than what we have ended up with. All very suspicious.

Can we put this shit to bed about 60 applicants??!! The bookies couldn't even come up with 20 without including the likes of Owen Coyle and Malky McKay. I will make it easy for you. Tell me 15 better candidates (which is half of the 30 you reckon you could produce).

  6. Anyone know where you could watch sundays old firm game in madrid.

Unfortunately it would have to be an Irish Pub. If you feel like doing that then the best hope would be James Joyce bar, just down from Retiro Underground.

  7. It has no bearing on us!, even if the result goes in favour of Rangers it won't stop the haters from hating!

Great point. I think we actually thought way back around the time of the first hearing that it would vindicate us if we won. NOTHING will see us accepted or even liked in this country and we should wake up and smell the coffee on that one. I don't actually give a flying feck about this now!

  8. He reeks of our Deila.

He neither reeks of Deila or Le Guen, as they were both weak leaders who were openly disrespected by players within the dressing room. This guy is one very tough cookie (as confirmed by players who have played under him e.g. Weiss, Crosas). Nobody, including the press (and I include that arsehole Sutton) will mess with this guy lightly. A very big difference this time for me.

I'm not saying he's the real deal, but I'm quite excited by the prospect that he might be. Any of the other 'usual' suspects getting the job would have left me feeling very dull and unexcited about the future. I give you Walter's glowing tribute to McInnes - "we wouldn't go far wrong in appointing him". FFS does that not sum up the enthusiasm that must come across from the old guard!! Eh Walter - it's various degrees of wrong that we want to escape from!!! We need something fresh and positive!

  9. Timing with Mitchell is a coincidence but is there anything even vaguely concrete that we've actually spoken to him?

I tend to agree. Isn't it Spurs who have driven the timing of this? He 'resigned' last summer didn't he but Spurs held him to his contract. I cant see this happening unless its Spurs who have decided the time is right to let him go i.e. they have a replacement.

  10. One word Rab - brexit.

We might be ok for this and next season. After that I'd say all bets are off.

With all due respect Boabie, I think UEFA, FIFA, the world sports press, would get there before us if this was going to be an issue.
