  1. Well, by the looks of it, we are none the wiser this week, with quite a bit of the rumours being based on educated conjecture and hearsay.

One or two bookies are laying odds on Pedro C like they know its a done deal, or else they've taken serious heavy bets by someone who thinks its a done deal. The shift in odds would suggest that if its been caused by punters then the money must be significant. BetFair have him at 1/6 and Paddy Power have him at 1/14!! That's getting close to them closing the book before they lose heavily .

  2. my biggest problem with Caixinha is pronouncing his name.....

I looked it up there. It sounds like 'Kai - shin - yi' (Kai as in Kai Johansen, not as in 'Kay' Adams). The emphasis is on the 'Kai' syllable and the rest is quite soft. Every day is a school day. :)

  3. FWIW:

Billy Hill offers: Next Permanent Rangers' Manager

    Caixinha@ 6/5

    Eck @5/1

    Alexander Francis Neil @6/1

    Gary Rowett @16/1

Thats the best odds available for Pedro C. He's odds on everywhere else.

Just been told he's been approached for DOF role. And has been up for a look around the place.Dont know any more as yet. Will keep you posted.Cheers

    No chance. Absolutely none!

  5. If its a partnership I would like to see the '2nd in command' actually contribute regularly. I was right behind the dugout last week and big Weir's verbal contribution seemed to involve 2 or 3 words of despair every now and then to MW (but he managed to get pretty verbal often enough with the 4th official and the Ross County management team). Whereas wee Billy Dodds was in Jim McIntrye's ear constantly. I wouldn't mind wee Doddsy as a number 2 (I know Jim Mcintrye thinks the world of him).

  6. Right - the bold boy is standing at the Toll claiming its 12:00 (am or pm?) . That's the first time I've ever seen the Toll at any 12:00 without a body in sight? I know some of these Hibs boys are 'tough' wee cookies :), but the Brad boy isn't doing their reputation any favours by dressing like Scott of the Antarctic. You don't turn up for a scrap with layers of clothes on - primary rule. You certainly don't wear a hood that can be pulled over your head in a flash - primary rule.

Look at what he is wearing. His hood has been pulled back for his 'shite bag' stunt and its probably about 6:00am. You won't get "50 good man " in Bridgeton Cross at that hour!!!

    Nice try you utter clown!!

  7. We have been out of the top tier for years. We were told we would be 10 years behind Selik because of the ground they would gain in our absence. Anyone actually believe we are years behind them? And some people are annoyed we wont win the league this year!

  8. Why would Warburton need to attend , he will have made his views known to Stewart Robertson, it's an internal disciplinary matter

If its purely disciplinary and the exercise today is to treat him like a reprimanded school kid then fine. If there are hopes for any reconciliation then it seems very strange. So I can only assume its the former and reconciliation isn't on the horizon.

  9. Were we watching a different game to big Eck and Neil McCann because they both said that apart from a par flurries Aberdeen dominated most of the match. I was too sick(scunnered) to watch the whole analysis but they repeated it a few times in the short time I listened.

Really???? I was in a pub with my son and daughter, having a bite to eat, and I was almost ready to watch through my fingers. I didn't hear what was being said, but I was really relieved at how we applied ourselves. We ran the show first half especially. This is where fine margins come in and pundits and media get allowed poetic license. If we had nicked that game after the equaliser they would have hailed the performance.

  10. I really don't buy all this Irish pride nonsense. Hypothetical I know - but if they had been founded by a Welsh priest from a mining village in some unpronounceable place in the Valleys, would they all wave Welsh flags and sing old mining songs at the game? No chance - and why? Because Wales doesn't give them that 'legitimate' right to scream in your face about their bigoted views. I know loads of Celtic fans who belt out the Irish songs of 'victimisation' and lament, who have no idea whatsoever if they have any Irish distant relatives. Its bugger all to do with their heritage.

  11. I thought we would get pumped on Sunday. I thought we would get bullied and our defence would get battered. We outplayed them for the vast majority of that match. I've seen us win leagues against them while more under the cosh. It's fine margins. If we play like that every time we go to Pittodrie I will take it. We are on the right road IMHO.

  12. High ground? I am giving him the benefit of the doubt until I know the facts. You are actually blaming him for it. Without any facts you have him guilty already. Remember innocent until proven guilty.

I'm stating my opinion and quite clearly saying I could be wrong, and actually hope I am. I'm not calling the opposite opinion "tosh" and saying that I am in a position to get other opinions "out of the way". I genuinely hope your opinion is correct, but it is your opinion only, and no more based on knowledge than mine. I would love to see him become the player he has been in the past. I hope in my heart that this could be a 'clearing of the decks' that was needed. But I'm afraid his Twitter and national radio ego will cost him, and I think he knows it will. He only had to keep his gob shut until Monday, but his ego won the day.

  13. Maybe if the club had made a statement clearing the matter up he may not have found it necessary to go on the radio. I agree that, that may not have been a great decision. As for working his ticket. The world loves a great conspiracy story.

Why would the club make a statement for an internal disciplinary matter? To feed the wolves that are the Scottish media? Not the Rangers way - never has been.

"As for working his ticket. The world loves a great conspiracy story". Wouldn't be the first time in football with an inflated ego - certainly wouldn't be the last either. You nor I know whether it is or isn't, and I wouldn't pretend to have the more knowledgeable high ground because we both know as much as each other at this juncture.
