  1. About the amount we are currently spending would be my guess. To speculate that we are starting to spend what we don't have again would be unfounded.

I disagree. We have been caught before by taking that approach.

I'm delighted at what we are doing but I'm not sure where the cash is coming from. Hopefully the directors have got it all under control, but the financial information available from previous accounts suggests we will be making a loss this year with the high wages for the key players and paying £1.5m for Garner.

You disagree with what? What "approach" are you reading from my post?

I'm saying [that my guess is] we are spending what we can afford. I'm also suggesting that insinuations that we are spending above our means are unfounded unless there is proof to suggest otherwise.

  2. Haha what have the Romans ever done for us?

Apart from sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, fresh water system and public health. NOTHING. Fuck you Romans!!

At least they knew how to deal with graffiti louts before society perished under the weight of bad words on walls!

  3. I feel the team should Judged on this season as to be fair everyone shut off after the league was won last year..........

I would normally agree, but the statement back then from management was "we will make sure that the season doesn't end in a whimper. I won't accept that". if the players didn't feel the need to heed that, then its worrying for me.

  4. Correct me if I'm wrong - but isn't that 5 league matches in succession (4 in the Championship) that we have failed to record a victory? Add the Scottish Cup debacle to that it it all points to a worrying statistic for me. Talk is becoming very cheap - "nobody is hurting more than us", "the lads have had heated discussions", etc etc.

I wouldn't change the current management team for anyone at the moment, but at what point does it become an issue that something is amiss and the dressing room message is not getting home?

  5. What is he not? The article clearly says that he's out of contract soonish (that was in March16). And the BBC's confirmed it ...

NB: Seems to have been played as a midfielder ar CP, rather than a striker: https://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=82&story=6316

An out of contact 32 year old permanent crock, who is also rubbish. Lets get it done quick before anyone else notices he is available!

  6. Maybe I'm being thick, but I thought the whole idea was the dropping of the SD advertising? But the SD billboards were out in full force at the game on Monday. Why are we dropping the adverts for the shop, but we are still bombarded with them in the ground? I admit to not following this story that closely but their adverts were bursting my head the other night.

  7. 20 years ago Franco Baresi retired at 37. That's when 37 was old for as player! Maldini retired at aged 41 in 2009. We are WAY beyond the days of footballers retiring or being over the hill at 33. Late 30's is not an issue for me. Kenny Miller was streets ahead of every other player in blue in the cup final.
