I presume you’re referring to paying hertz 500k for Souttar in January ? I think hertz wanted sell-on clauses added in & we wouldn’t agree to that. So we wait til end of season to get him. Regards the January transfer window has Ross Wilson questions to answer?

Would you agree Bill that Gerrard made some poor signings towards the end of his time at Rangers ? And GVB somehow needs to replace these players ? which he (or someone else) will need time to do.

Like most on here I think the jury is still out and may be out for a while yet GVB has inherited a number of players from SG whom he clearly doesn’t want. Some because he doesn’t rate them & others for different reasons i.e constantly injured or past their best. So we’d need to wait until he gets his own players in til we judge him properly although there must be concern after the January transfer window in which 4 new players arrived & can’t get a game I also think he’s wrong to keep playing McGregor who’s past his best & could cost us silverware

And of course, as now expected,Beaton was at his awful worst today, missing fouls & handballs all game. Good to see the manager make necessary substitutions in the second half & it paid off although I think Lundstrum should be a starter. on the downside can we do anything about our corner kicks? they are mostly garbage. Can we not in swing them like most teams do ? When tav took them first half down his side he out swung them to the penalty spot & they were easily cleared. Why not tav swing them in from left side & Barasic (or bassey) swing them in on the right side

I don’t think GvB rates s number of the players he’s inherited hence why so little change in team selections and also during games

We continue to lose goals from set pieces. Happened again yesterday. This year we’ve conceded from a set piece (or as a result of a set piece) at Ross county, Aberdeen, Celtic & again yesterday. Much of this year due to the fact we’ve a goalkeeper who’s a great shot stopper but doesn’t command his box. Opposition teams can see this

Absolutely delighted tonight. Can’t help thinking we’re very much stronger with both Jack & Lundstrum together central MF. And hasn’t young Bassey grown so much in stature. But credit must also go to our new manager & his back room staff. I thought we’d lost it a bit after Malmo with SG but Gio’s improved us bar one bad 45mins against the yahoos. Going to be a very interesting run in with them.Wonder if tonight will affect them ? Always thought after FC Copenhagen beat them at ra Stydome was the beginning of the end for Lennon.
