  1. I agree it's difficult to know Ashley's strategy, however, I get the impression that he wants to severely damage DK for having the temerity to challenge him publicly.
  2. Ashley looks to be moving in to position to invoke the 'deadlock provision'. How petty does the matter need to be before it ascends to a deadlock position? From the 2012 RIFC prospectus - " ... The agreement contains deadlock provisions which require deadlock matters to be referred to senior management of the shareholders and then to mediation. If the deadlock matter has not been resolved then SDI has the right to acquire RFCL’s shareholding at a set price (50 per cent. of the profits of Rangers Retail in the previous twelve months). ..." The club can not be seen to be encouraging Houston and/or SOS, or to be in any way discouraging the fans from buying merchandise from Rangers Retail. However, if the fans take action on their own it's difficult to see how Ashley could use that against RR. I agree that the fans must be very responsible in their protests.
  3. What's wrong with moving forward and at the same time challenging those who wish to harm us in various ways? The Rangers' support have proven in the last four seasons that they can multi-task and still maintain huge loyalty to the club. 40K+ crowds for the most part testify to that.
  4. Yeah, we know that a 'dignified silence' works, eh?
  5. Perhaps these groups could be allowed to lend the club money on the same basis and then have it converted to shares to keep their percentage of shares on target. DK did say he wanted fan investment.
  6. That means they would qualify for European competition, right. Look out Europe the hordes are coming … Premiership Saturday October 17 Hamilton 1 - 1 Dundee Att: 2,862 Friday October 16 Ross County 2 - 0 Aberdeen Att: 5,543
  7. Is there another bookie that will take bets on McInnes getting fired?
  8. The cull needs to start at the very top and get new thinking in there. I guess we can kiss the World Cup qualifiers goodbye. If not I'll stand corrected.
  9. Read this, it explains the charges more ... Rangers fraud case: Ex-Ibrox chiefs Craig Whyte and Charles Green back in court along with three others 17:32, 16 Oct 2015 Updated 17:41, 16 Oct 2015 By James Mulholland WHYTE, Green, David Grier, David Whitehouse and Paul Clark are alleged to have conspired to "acquire and obtain by fraud a majority and controlling stake in the shareholding of Rangers". http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/
  10. That is not entirely Strachan's fault. I believe that can be laid at the feet of the SFA board, and the cull should start with them and go all the way down, just as Rangers did. Why reward mediocrity? Nothing is improving - not the National team, the youth teams, amateur football nor grassroots activities. The culture and philosophy emanating from Hampden is pervasive and requires to be replaced. Even the fans, 12,000 of whom cheered the failures after the Gibraltar victory, need a reset.
  11. The court cannot make a contract for the parties but must enforce a contract which is agreed to by the parties. Since Green is charged with fraud, and since fraud is grounds for voiding a contract, I would expect Rangers to argue that if the judge grants Green his claim for costs then any funds awarded should be held in trust pending the result of the fraud case. Then again, you have the Proceeds of Crime Act and I'm not quite sure how that would impact on Green. No doubt this is why Ahmad is divesting himself of his possessions.
  12. Look, Scotland were drawn from pool four and that's where they ended up. Why would you put yourself through the heartache of hoping, when all they are capable of is glorious defeats. Bottlers.
  13. After St. Johnstone refused them permission to speak to Tommy Wright as a replacement, today we get this ... ICTFC Club News Statement : John Hughes   Published: Friday, 09 October 2015 18:02 Club Chairman, Kenny Cameron, has issued the following statement... "On behalf of the Board of Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC I can confirm that Dundee Utd have, today, requested permission from the club to open discussions with Team Manager, John Hughes." "The club have stated previously that we wish John to remain with us for this season and beyond. This position has not changed and the approach from Dundee Utd has been rejected." Oh dear, uh just a minute there Jackie ...
  14. The coach picks the players, the SFA picks the coach. Does the SFA have an Ethics committee similar to that of FIFA? Could we, the fans, demand they get rid of Regan and Liewell etc. the same way FIFA dumped Blatter and Platini? The Scottish game from top to bottom is in a mess. The only bright spot is Mark Warburton.
  15. How are we going to get players like Baxter,Law etc. ever again. Get the kids interested in the game again. That means having a programme that is worthwhile from when they are young until they progress to the pros. How do we do that? Start with Regan and Liewell and get rid of just about everybody that runs things and do what Warburton is doing at Auchenhowie. The days of Levein and Strachan surely must be finished. Get a non-Scottish coach if needed. This cycle of glorious failure has to be broken.
  16. The commentator on the German game said that before tonight Germany had lost just one of its last 48 qualifying games. You couldn't make this up.
  17. Ooops !!! A backheeler.
  18. ROI 1-0, goalie boots it up the park and Long runs through the defence and scores. Route 1 indeed.
  19. What about McFadden's strike against France ...
  20. No one has put their name to this document. Who authored it and why should I give them my money? We have been subjected to 'great sounding propaganda' before, and paid the price.
  21. Does the court case adjudicating on whether the club should pay Green's costs come up before these cases?
  22. He instills confidence for the future.
  23. Don't you think he should state his honest opinion? After all, the Scottish game is built on the "sporting integrity" ethos.
