I loved the way he shaped up, looked, took it a moment longer, shaped up again and unleashed it -

It's not bad luck when you break the wall and try to get out of the way of the shot and therefore deflect it in. It's terribe defending. All he had to do was stand still. -

No - wasn't a free kick either, was it? Speaking of free kicks - what was theirs for that led to the goal? I missed it -

Even Sutton says it was intentional and "as clear a red card as you'll see" and that it is not comprehensible that Collum didn't see it & produce red. It is very understandable, sadly = scared of the fallout -

Proof-reading something you've written yourself is a nightmare. You read what you think you typed rather than what you actually did. I guess the mind thinks of what the mind meant to do rather than what the fingers did. -

"..back where they belong. Top of the league." Goosebumps -
I quite like this, tbh. I'm sure it drives the yahoos crazy. Crazier.

I was not long turned 13 in my example above. I can assure I was NOT given the choice or I would not have been playing in my match much as I loved playing football.

Now that was a surprising answer!

No probs - thanks for the thought.

Cheers - I thought I'd slipped into an alternate universe for a minute, there

Heavens to Betsy, Glasow has changed out of all recognition since my day. 8am on Old Firm day! What, even in places like Partick and around the train stations?
-
Hahah - that's very kind but seems unfair on your missus! I missed the 1970 League Cup final because I was playing that afternoon. I was a right winger (football only) and so hugged the touchline all day to be near a guy who was following the game and feeding me news. When we scored I ran right round the pitch without the ball

Is it a licensed bar? I thought they weren't allowed in Scotland at grounds. It'll be my first midday OF game travelling from Edinburgh - any advice on best time to get a train/which train and where to go pre kick off would be much appreciated. Though perhaps an early train and going here would be my best bet?

In case you were in any doubt about the BBC

Interesting wording here, too: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/41248903 Spectator enters pitch at Celtic v PSG in Champions League A spectator entered the pitch during Celtic's Champions League match against Paris St-Germain. The incident took place shortly after PSG had scored their third goal at Celtic Park in Glasgow. As the host team, the Scottish champions could now face action from tournament organisers Uefa. PSG are one of the favourites for this season's tournament, boasting the world's most expensive player Neymar. -

I didn't have any but it is amazing, really. 2 points: 1) Can you imagine them ever saying that re us (rhetorical question) 2) Are they seriously asking us to consider that someone has bought a ticket to go in disguise to the phiggery and then run on to the pitch in mock outrage after Celtic lose yet another goal in a masterly counterfiet of a pissed off home fan? -
Yes, I've been following that. Obviously I share your worry but I won't say more as I don't want to cause annoyance to those who would, understandably, reply with "take it to the lounge". And so, to end on a football note, here's some deja vu: "Sheffield Wednesday capitalised on some sloppy Nottingham Forest defending to earn a first home league win this term."

I should say that I like Pedro and think he has been treated appallingly in Scotland. Not as appallingly as bulls are treated, though. And, yes, cooponthewing, myself and others do protest and have for as long as I can remember about the bloodsports you list here. Even getting one banned despite the top echelons of our society fighting for it and to reinstate it some to that. Why would one only pick on an Iberian bloodsport? I'm against them all. It just so happened to be the one under discussion and one in which many people are unaware of what goes on. I cut this off the post (I included it first time around) but perhaps I should not have: "But it’s part of their culture’ is the argument commonly used to defend bullfighting, but this argument is also used to defend female circumcision (genital mutilation). It could also have been used to defend witch-burning, bear-baiting and a multitude of other evils, “Culture” is not a magic word, and simply labeling something as such doesn’t make it right and above criticism. Also, the word “culture” suggests the enhancement and enrichment of people or a society, and watching animals being tortured to death doesn’t fall into this description. “Get your own house in order” is another argument put forward, with reference to our own bloodsports such as hunting and harecoursing. Well, there is no reason why we can’t support the Spanish Animal Rights movement as well as fighting animal abuse in our own country. An animal doesn’t regard itself as being Spanish when it is being tortured to death — rather it is a member of the anima[ kingdom being tortured to death by humans. The Animal Rights movement is a worldwide one and should not be restricted by boundaries. As has been mentioned previously, bullrings are largely sustained by tourists who visit out of curiosity and a misguided belief that if they fail to visit this unique part of Spanish culture, their visit to Spain will not be complete."
