  1. Apologies. Not really exciting, sorry. It was from FF and went like this: "BBC Radio Scotland ..... "Celtic fans or people wearing green and white hooped shirts". In reference to the Lee Rigby chants. Reeval Alderson, Just after 5pm. " Somebody later posted to say that: "Re: BBC Radio Scotland ..... i just heard this, the guy sounded nervous as fck for some reason. Anyway he didn't say celtc OR people wearing green and grey, he said they were celtc fans and that the video showed people wearing green and white hooped shirts, he didnt separate them to one or other." So I deleted my first post...............
  2. dubious info............queried soon after I posted it so I've erased it for now
  3. Cathro is going straight to a job at Wolves. Met them about it a few days ago apparently.
  4. Lets hope they hit a purple patch just for/on the opening day
  5. Good to hear! Doubt I'll make any before Sep 23....though you never know
  6. Bears are piling into that fund raising page:rfcbouncy:
  7. I read somewhere that it was 6 weeks. They may have been wrong, of course.
  8. Hasn't he (supposedly) been in training with us for six weeks?
  9. Some interesting comments in there for those who think the OF would be welcome down south. "English clubs only entertain Rangers or Celtic purely for the financial benefits they bring. Is it really worth it though, people being attacked outside football grounds, former leaders of the EDL turning up for a book launch in a city miles from where he comes from on the same day as Celtic are in town. That's without even mentioning his decision to wear a Rangers top. Pure and utter stupidity from both sides of the divide that spoils it for the folk who just want to see a decent game. Both clubs have a rich footballing history, something they can be rightly proud of but the sectarian bile a large number of their followers spout isn't wanted inside English football grounds. I'm all for great atmospheres etc but in the right sense. The scenario of 5700 Wednesdayites at Preston on Saturday of which no doubt some will be worse for wear and looking for a potential opportunity to cause trouble, is something that will be seen up and down the country in varying numbers. That will always be a part of the English fan culture but at least the other 99% will be singing songs and creating great atmospheres in support of their team and not referring to any of the absolute nonsense we hear from either Celtic Park or Ibrox. Shove your Ulster flags, Bobby Sands banners, songs about Derry walls and broad black brimmers. It's pathetic, childish and a reminder of a time that brought nothing but despair, agony and pain for thousands of innocent people of both Protestant and catholic persuasion. If people can't grow up then we shouldn't be welcoming them back ever again. "
  10. We certainly need something, some way out of this cesspit that has no future and entirely hates us to boot.
  11. I concur with most - possibly all - of Gaffer's comments on the game. It's dangerous to read too much into friendlies but we worked hard, looked a together squad and were solid and impressive. Windass looked a different player entirely to the one in Luxembourg and we mostly did as a team, too. I've quoted you, though RangerRab, and also to agree - that is the only way forward for us. Sell the players on to England, put in a 10% future sale clause and bring on someone new....and repeat and repeat. It's a tough task but it's our only way forward that I can see, at least until the next big "revolution" in the game and even then that'll probably only empower the Super Powers even more .
  12. cheeky sod , I was going for speed
  13. St Johnstone v Partick Thistle Hibs v Ayr Rangers v Dunfermline Ross County v Motherwell Falkirk v Livvy Hamilton v Sheep Them v Killie Dundee v Arabs (again!)
  14. Holt coming on in the 94th minute. Seems a bit pointless.....
  15. Windass is playing very much not like Windass Seriously, he's outstanding in the bits I've seen. Also from what I've seen (far from all) We are playing well. Very balanced. Very solid in defence. Unrecognisable from the team in Luxembourg.
  16. Miller ! Against run of play. Lucky in build up but buried it
  17. Neat goal. 1-0 well done. Perhaps we can get some Rangers' songs now.............
  18. Worries me a bit given how we look down the left = not a single player who can defend.
  19. PC said that the team that started today would be close to/the one to start v Motherwell. Given that, I'm surprised to see Windass. It's only a friendly - lets hope Wednesday treat it as such.........
  20. No sign of Tav.............. Edit: he took a knock in training and is limping............
  21. #RANGERSFC: Foderingham, Hodson, Alves, Cardoso, Wallace, Jack, Dorrans, Candeias, Windass, Miller, Herrera.
  22. Oh, come on....Liberal perhaps but not even anti-capitalism far less Trotskyist, Marxist, Maoist or any other "ultra left"
  23. BBC News website for North East England. Two articles. One praising their 'wonderful tribute to Bradley' the other talking about the thug who was hit in Hendon without mentioning he was attacking in the first place. It's amazing how they always are the victims no matter what they do (Amsterdam springs to mind, too)
