Can i Look Yet? Rangers v Ross County Preview

Did any of our players claim for offside? -
Kieran Prior has long been a very odd part of our very odd story
-
Thanks rbr though I'd have preferred an answer along the lines of: "it's just people getting over excited and adding 2 + 2 and getting 5. Don't worry about it, Rangers are back to being far too dignified to act like that."
-
I seem to have missed something - what are the 'backstabbing' and 'tweeting against' stories? Why does it "appear the decision has been made"? I will find it sad, if so, and unless a manger of genius and a very large amount of investment is about to be unveiled then we are in for more turmoil this time next year. If the very large amount of investment does transpire then I'll forever wonder what MW would have done with it - we all know his transfer record for us is horrible but it was superb overall at Brentford and who knows if he ever got what he asked for until it was down to last minute panics.

As you imply, a lot of what we bemoan as keepers playing out of their skin against us is overblown. Far too often the ball is hit at them rather than away for them. Yes, there are still some amazing saves - the one from Garner was so close to unbelievable that I thought it had gone in while watching the highlights der Berliner kindly linked to, even though I knew in advance it hadn't - but they are often saves when the keeper should't have had an earthly. -

I remember Tommy Mclean taking torrents of abuse in every game he played at Ibrox. Even when he was MOTM or won matches for us, the abuse continued regardless. I argued with some but there were far too many for that to make much difference. It started before games had even kicked off and continued to the end, time after time. "effing useless p**f" being the commonest phrase, iirc -

Second is going to be quite a fight given that we are guaranteed to be away three times, and home only once, to two out of the following 3 teams = septic, sheep and jam tarts. Throw in that - presuming they are not going for a points record or 'unbeaten through the season ' "prize" - the timz would be unlikely to, erm, "be highly motivated" in their post split games v the other two. Makes the next few games absolutely critical if we are "striving for second"...... -

Oh well, looks like I picked a good afternoon to miss -
Cheers :) I'll not be around this afternoon. It'll be odd not to be watching RTV and following the match thread. I thought I'd be safe booking something for a Saturday mid-afternoon........

I am aware of that, but the positioning of the message at the beginning of this particular season, in our advertising, understandably led people to think it was meant for now.
-
to be fair to the support re expectations the "going for 55" campaign did not exactly help.
-
The thing that needs to be dealt with is that we are years behind Septic, probably many years, possibly a great many. I'm beginning to have serious doubts as to whether our fan base is going to be able to deal with that. Historically Ranges fans have not been known for their patience, I grant you, but the current situation is wildly out of step with anything in our history.
-
I'd agree it never should have been but not "never was". I've seen it before. I saw us lose to Chesterfield and Stenhousemuir and get hammered by St Mirren at Ibrox a week after we demolished them in Paisley = these with multi-capped internationals in the team not giving a monkey's. I've seen the Barcelona ECWC goalscorers not try a leg and be booed for so doing and replying with either "so what" or two fingers. And they were great players, Bud and Stein, great players who abjectly capitulated in some games - glorious though they were in others.
-
2nd place with a game more played. And "looking good for a Euro spot" = looking good for a June knock-out and a disrupted pre-season. Early qualifying round(s) of the diddy Euro cup are really not a prize and if in the back of beyond not a "money spinner" in any way. No doubt we'd "learn some lessons" though - and never, ever show what we have learnt to anyone. "all agree there are issues to be addressed which hopefully will be" = I have no hope left for that as they have not been addressed at all, instead they have been wilfully ignored and encouraged to flourish. transfer windows have come and gone, many months of training have passed and the issues have not been addressed. Sorry, it's just very gloomy at the moment. The heads went down and the towel was chucked in and I can't quite get over that. I'll log off and try to be more upbeat when I return.
-
A fair point if that was the case (and I'd still keep him, btw, despite what I am about to say) but it isn't "on one game". It's the frustration of the 'defence' time after time after time shipping goals. We either actively create them for the opposition or stand back and watch them score. iI's been over a calendar year of atrocious defending and there's not a sign of anyone addressing any of the repetitive problems. That's unforgivable. WTF does Weir actually do?
-
Well that was utterly appalling
-
Who comes in though? We are so far behind the timz and they have so much more money that it's not an attractive proposition to anyone good. Also we'd have to rebuild from scratch - perhaps a whole other style - with little or no money. It's a nightmare scenario.
-
i know, but I was just trying to answer your very difficult question.
-
Going into HT we were playing well and on top. I'm only paying for it on RTV and BT Sport and I'm not actually there wasting even more money. It's my mum I'm sorriest for. it's her birthday and she recently moved to Edinburgh.
-
Another defensive disaster 3-1. Shitsake I am paying for this twice over
-
That was beyond shocking
-
Brilliant battling from the loanees there. HT
-
Hurrah!!!!!!! 1-1 Old fashioned corner. Keeper (who had been great) ballsed it up and Hyndman belted in a volley
-
Mmmmm. Telly just broke down in my room. i could watch it on another TVV but BT Sport makes me feel ill..........so maybe I should just go for RTV. Mind, you, thanks to der berliner, http://www.laola1.tv/de-at/livestream/2017-02-01-livestream-heart-of-midlothian-fc-rangers-fc-lde is a possibility (legal) though the message just now is rather forbidding looking................ Edit: RTV it is
