1) Can kids not play attractive football like? Is our current anti-football more to your taste? What fans impatience, impatience for what? Every fan i knew wanted to start something fresh, something new, something different from the nonsense of short-termism we were used to. 2) You said an i quote "the cost has been virtually nothing" That is simply not true, it's not even close. I rightly pointed out the cost has been enormous. 3) Really? So how much do you think we need to spend to win the Championship? How quick do you fancy a return to administration? 4) I will have to quote you again here sadly, "Before you start telling me about the good young players in some of the SPL teams, remind me if that league is competitive or is it a one-horse race?" You are clearly implying SPL players are not good enough for us, i am telling you that is nonsense. This years team compared to last years is night and day, there will not be a similar jump in quality each window, that i can guarantee. Short-termism may be acceptable to you but it is not acceptable to me and thousands of others not will it be acceptable by the clubs finances. It simply doesn't work.

Scottish Cup Draw Rangers v Dunfermline or Ayr

Have we not proved beyond all doubt that we have no interest in that in the last 2 years? -
When then Rab because the players we need to win the SPL we cannot afford as a Championship club nor will they want to spend 1 year in the lower leagues? It simply will not happen.

1)I think so. Why is it more than we wanted to? Why did we not want to blood our kids in a league we had won before a ball was kicked? 2)The cost has been enormous. Around £1m in fees since newco and over £15m in wages since we newco'd too. Huge sums no other team in the country could afford with the obviosu one exception. 3)Why though? Is what we have seriously not enough? 4) How do you know what i was going to say? In any case to suggest guys like Stuart Armstrong, Mackay-Stevens and Ryan Gauld would not improve our team is silly. Of course they would and need i remind you that the captain of the top team in that one horse race once graced the shirt of a provincial SPL club? So yeah, i think i am being fair and i don't think you addressed my post you quoted properly either.

I disagree Zappa. I don't buy into respecting mediocrity. Treat them with the respect they deserve, none, and run over the f*cking top of them. Those 2 which spring to your mind, are we counting them? Ally kept using last years team excuses for they defeats, now there are no excuses, no get outs, we are in it to win it and have a squad more than capable. -
That is all he knows. Look at his signings and he is desperate to spend again. Short-termism at it's finest.

Behave, just behave! There is no chance of an upset. We have made enough mistakes in the last 2 seasons to last a life time. -
All 3 played under the same coaches, that tells it's own story!

Oh we are, no doubt but right now we are stuck between a rock and a hard place, still in the cup with potential to be humiliated but as you rightly say, already spewing too much out. Releasing Perry, Hutton and Cribari should be a priority. Take the hit with one off pay off costs because quite simply it is a must. Templeton has also told friends he will probably need to leave in January. That is 4 high earners and first team has not been affected yet. Ally wants to spend more, the board have let him spend this much so far so is there really a problem? It seemed to be non playing costs which were the problem. Incidentally i don't think it says much that we have already spent so much and signed so many players and still need more. That in itself is poor. -
I have to disagree, the lad is very very average.

Crawford has had enough chances at right midfield to prove he doesn't have it. He is simply not good enough and offers just as little as Peralta, probably less in fact.

Doddle, as good as a bye. Will give us a transfer window to prepare for the next round against Inverness, Celtic, Hibs or Dundee Utd. Bring King Kenny home please, as a start. -
It will be him because there are definite mixed reviews. So say he is dreadful and as you say an arsehole and some say wonderful, the next Neil Len....no.....Jose Mourinho etc etc

Assistant Manager at Rio Ave in Portugal just now i think, or that was his last job i am sure.

Ian Cathro St John’s High School (Dundee) Ian Cathro started his coaching career as a fifth-year pupil at St John's High School in Dundee, the school he now returns to as Scottish FA Regional Performance Coach. Ian designed his own coaching programmes for young players, centred on increasing the number of touches, and his services quickly became sought-after by clubs and national associations. At the age of 22, a chance meeting with the Scotland National Coach, Craig Levein, then Manager and Director of Football at Dundee United, led to Ian joining the club to design a new long-term player development strategy to improve the quality of academy players. The man who purchased his first bag of balls and markers with his own pocket money is now regarded as one of the most promising youth coaches in Scotland.

Will be lambs to the slaughter today, best to avoid.

I have never seen him make a sliding tackle never mind win one tbh mate.
-
Clocked him pulling out of tackles yesterday. Being a coward won't go down well with our support.

In your opinion. Let's leave the hyperbole for elsewhere. I would argue with "at least decent performances" all day long. More hyperbole. If he isn't better than what we have why did we sign him? Are we going back to the days of financial mistakes and signing passengers? Ally can ill afford many more mistakes in the transfer market! For me, Peralta was an ego signing. A dreadful signing.
-
There are several positions we need fixed. After all those signings, all that money squandered we still have at least 5 problem positions within the team. For me, right back is just as bad as right midfield, Jig at centre back is just as big a problem as right midfield, MacLeod out of position is just as bad as the other flank, it's simple things that are obvious from the outside looking in. Can anyone honestly see the manager dropping McCulloch, Peralta or MacLeod for any period of time? He doesn't have the balls. A proper centre back for Jig, a proper right back for Faure and Foster, 2 attack minded wide men for AP and LM and the whole dynamics of the team change. We can then play 4-4-2/4-2-4 on the front foot. I would also drop Black.
