  1. I agree with that. There is no need to throw money at players to get out of the lower leagues. I believe we are already wasting at least £4m or £5m per season in wages we do not need to be paying to get out of these leagues, money which could have been saved and given to the manager when we needed to spend it, a possible £15m by the time we get back to the SPL. Teams like Gretna and Livingston went all the way from bottom to top on a budget a tiny fraction of ours and didn't have anything like the revenue streams we have either. Those guys may have contributed to us winning silverware but their fees also went a long way towards our crippling debt which forced the bank to take charge of the club for a period and we couldn't even turn a profit on any of them despite us giving them their good footballing reputations. I think our business plan has been flawed since day one.
  2. I doubt SFL2 would excite any world class youngster and even top quality ones is far fetched for where we are and will be for the foreseeable. Never mind the lack of development they will suffer whilst being at Rangers. Our realistic market is probably the Nicky Clarks, Marc McNultys and Ryan Donnellys etc etc not the next Schweinsteiger or Messi.
  3. I am a man of principle so yes, i probably would. I said the other day we need to do this the right way and i stand by that.
  4. I am sure Ally believes it is £10m in transfer fees, as any transfer budget should be or else it would be called an operating expenses budget. All costs over and above any fees paid for players to other clubs like wages etc should be part of the clubs operating costs and the very reason we sell season books and match day tickets etc.
  5. Could have been a legend, i believe he was given very bad advise from his Celtic supporting representatives.
  6. I don't think our club is that daft. We, the fans, have made it crystal clear we have no interest in any favours or back doors.
  7. Hutton and Black were dreadful again together yesterday as well. I am not a fan of midfielders losing possession needlessly.
  8. I think it would be the complete opposite to be honest.
  9. Play-offs have always been part of the SFL, have they not?
  10. I don't believe the manager said that, he is surely not that stupid. I am praying it was taken out of context or the quotes are made up.
  11. That is exactly what will happen no matter how anyone dresses up any sort of fast tracking. The only way we can win is if we do things right.
  12. Our club must keep its dignity and tell them where to go should any invite be forthcoming.
  13. Quite a bit of silverware around the club this year, it's just as shame there is no major honours.
  14. We are a certainly a club were dreams are made. Nice words form Jig, the fan who lived the dream.
  15. It is probably best for the club and fans unity if he goes.
  16. Berwick must have a tiny section because we are right in the corner next to the away section, in seats which normally have the segregation thing covering the seats. It looks like the club have been pro active in giving them only what they will sell, keeping segregation to a minimum and selling as many tickets as they can to our own fans, which is a nice change.
  17. No thanks Mark. We need to do this the right way.
  18. Sellout Saturday was their idea, when they failed so badly, we picked up the mantle and showed them how to do it.
  19. The Bears going mad after the 3rd goal is amazing.
  20. How can recon talks for next season go on into May? What a farce.
  21. That must mean we have broke the 50000 barrier and will have another new world record. Immense.
