"a poor, disaster performance"
you said it
and he can add weak and pathetic - the first goal was atrocious
he can then add rank indiscipline also

It was a team who've been excellent this season and who hammered Aberdeen in order to play us.
It's this kind of arrogance that has us struggling. We have no divine right to win any game.
it was a ridiculous appointment and the results are so poor its scandalous
and its not just the results , the performances are atrocious and the lack of fight unacceptable
the excuses being made for this guy are pathetic

You may well be right.
I do wonder how much time his replacement would get though? Do we change again after another six months? How much does the new man get in January?
Listen, I'm as annoyed as much as anone else about Pedro and I found him a bizarre choice from the outset. However, I also don't think we're that far away so wouldn't throw my cards in just yet.
you have to be kidding us on
this wasn't celtc, it wasn't even aberdeen
it was motherwell with a rookie manager

I find it funny to think that Alvez is surprised at our food being fresh! We have access to local supply of pretty much every type of food available locally! I think Scotland oversells itself as some barren land.
Scotland has one of the worst rates of heart disease of any developed nation

he's a slavering drunk

Offside my arse!

This is Rossiter's second season with us and he may have played perhaps half a dozen games? At some stage, serious questions will need to asked of his fitness or ability to avoid injuries (if we have not done so already). I would imagine that he is on a decent package and if the club Doctor and specialists come to the conclusion that he is made of glass, then we would be as well getting him off the payroll sooner rather than later and using those wages (plus those of Niko and Miller's) to get in two decent performers. I would guess that the three players mentioned would be earning 30k plus per week and if the rumours are true about Dorrans signing for 15k p.w., then that has to be the minimum level of player that we should be attempting to attract. I am sure that someone will correct me if I am wrong, but the contracts expire at the end of this season, for all three players? Rossiter may have an extra year?
It's a real shame for the boy, he has looked like a real talent, but in our current environment where every penny is a prisoner, we just cannot carry passengers.
in his defence, he is only 20 growing pains etc may be playing a part
but how long does he have to be out before the edge is totally removed from him?
he's looking at 6 months of reserve team football to prove his fitness @10K a week

looks a real asset and one of the bright aspects of this season
he's raw but he's getting into positions to score always a good sign
desperately needs a partner and someone to create more chances though

Both penalties less penalties than the one we should have had last week by the way.
no they weren't
our penalty tonight was as bad a penalty to give away as you will ever see and a blatant red card for denying a goalscoring opportunity, terrible refereeing
0 -
really strange game and even stranger refereeing
terrible start, then we came back into it
couldn't believe the ref didn't send pena off for the straight leg
we capitalised and turned the screw terrific finish from John and then atrocious keeping had us on easy street
second half starts and pena should have been red carded for a second booking as he palms the ball into the net but gets off
jack immediately then sees red for his second booking
how did the hamilton player stay on the pitch at our pen?
all in all job done against a terrible hamilton side
2 weeks to look forward to with total nonsense filling the void

All this over kenny miller , is this how far we have fallen
couldn't agree more
where are the "miller's great to have around the dressing room, experience, coaching career " now?
miller is finished, he was dreadful last season and should have been jettisoned, this isn't the first time he's been outed as the leak and to those cretins
BUT it all comes down to bad management
for the love of Christ Board go and employ a decent manager

The directors and those behind the scenes will have a much more informed opinion on this than us. We see results and performances. They'll see everything, the work being done on the training pitch, the attitude and demeanour of the players, the contact with other staff, the general mood about the place, the changes he's made, the promises being kept and the targets being reached plus there are always things going on that fans never hear about that will affect the squad and the manager. Has Pedro settled, has his wife, his staff and their families? What about the players, who is carrying an injury, struggling to train, not adapting to the culture, sulking at not getting a game, building up huge gambling debts and so on. Ally McCoist gets stick from some supporters now, but I recall a friend of mine who works for Rangers talking about McCoist when we first went into Administration. The time he took with the 'staff', the trouble he went too for them, the understanding he showed for people on normal salaries facing real hardship if they lost their jobs. Most of them would have done anything for Ally after that and he'd their total respect. The point I'm making is those ultimately responsible for hiring and firing Pedro will see the big picture, which might look much better, or much worse, than the one we see.
To quote Souness "this isn't a popularity contest"
and all we need to see are results and performances

So if you can get a "very very good manager" for "no spend" and get all those Mexicans and Portugese to happily play for him go for it. Send your recommendation to Ibrox.
you will get no argument from me there i.e. where exactly do we go next
but to suggest this guy has a clue what he's doing or needs 18 month in the job to prove it is fanciful

"now wur gonnae start fightin' furra fans'"
i think i'll take this crap with a huge bucket of salt after the weak-willed garbage of the weekend

A bare minimum of a season and ideally up to a season and a half encompassing 2 summer windows. The alternative is eternally returning to square one which is where we would be right now if some were humoured.
We would have a new manager looking to bring in a new team in as little as two two games far less two months.
or you could get a very very good manager to organise and manage what is already there to better effect with no spend.
0 -
It's exactly the same scenario with any new manager. How many times are we going to do this? New manager new team every season? Every 6 months? In my view we're just a couple of months into the Pedro reign as the tail end of last season wasn't his team. This now is his team. Is that how long we give a new manager to build and bed in a new team? One window and a couple of months?
It's not enough.
how long do you think it takes to work out if a manager isn't working?

So by August and September all those seasoned pros I listed above (and I only included those who actually played) could not beat Dundee, Partick and lost at home to Killie! Because they were still exhausted? Dreadful, by your standards at least. Either on the park or because of bad management.
BTW, I do not expect us to win the title, but I do expect us to be were we belong this season ... at the END of the season.
93/94 was a dreadful season to watch for the reasons stated above
hateley's class basically carried the team to 6 in a row
this jam tomorrow patter really is dishonest IMO
we're not even in competition with celtc any more i think even the most fervent follower realises this
BUT we're already 6 points behind aberdeen that is deplorable
0 -
As I continue to say, it is September ... like in years gone by:
Rangers 2 Hearts 1
St. Johnstone 1 Rangers 2
Scum 0 Rangers 0
Rangers 1 Kilmarnock 2
Dundee 1 Rangers 1
Rangers 1 Partick 1
Aberdeen 2 Rangers 0
Rangers 2 Hibernian 1
Players involved ... Ally Maxwell, Richard Gough, John Brown, Stephen Pressley, Ian Ferguson, Mark Hateley, Ian Durrant, Alexej Mikhailichenko, Trevor Steven, Pieter Huistra, Davie Robertson, and Gary Stevens.
At the end of the season it was 6IAR. Obviously, those teams were much much better back then ... and those above were all new to the club at the time. Aye right.
that squad had won the treble the year before and were decimated by injuries after an absolute slog of a season
in the real world PC has won something like 9 league games in 17?
that is dreadful

the excuses now being made are an embarrassment - respected posters as well
"we were actually the better team"
what on fucking earth?
windass is the definition of donkey and week after week he plays - badly
set up badly , playing badly and then bad substitutions - a trademark
now after accepting responsibility yesterday the clown says its all the players' fault today?
farcical
i hope the Board have one last roll of the dice with a surprise lined up as they new manager
