There was no need to point out the ins and outs of contracts arranged before March as it's not difficult to grasp. Those with existing deals stayed because of the cost involved in terminations. If all the players had deals up at the end of the season, there would have been others shown the door before Warburton arrived on the scene. Probably because they have only just resigned, as opposed to previously giving notice of their intention to leave only to have their services retained at the 2014 AGM vote and being described as still "officially in place" by Paul Murray as late as March this year. Like everything else surrounding the club, nothing appears straightforward.
