  1. As we have seen, King likes to challenge a contract, but he reckons McCoist's one entitles him to be paid in full. Perhaps he is simply rewarding him for being his eyes and ears within the club. Doubt we'll ever know the reasoning.
  2. The length of contract is probably down to the fact that he hasn't previously been able to hold down a place for any length of time. I see it as a positive act which is a million miles away from some of the previous ways of signing players.
  3. Hopefully both will be moved on and replaced by two better players.
  4. If Warburton fails to gain promotion in his first season, a large section of the support will put pressure on the board to make changes. Long-term vision will go out the window.
  5. You are just pissed off because they don't conform to the ideal of what a Rangers supporter should be according to that wee (now defunct?) committee that you were a part of. You talk of 'stupid new songs' yet it was you who argued for many of the 'old songs' to be discarded by the support. Can't have it both ways.
  6. That will be dependent on the results. Football supporters are a fickle bunch.
  7. A new approach was attempted when Le Guen was appointed. Let's hope that this move is given more of a chance than back then.
  8. Of course it is, but life's not fair. It's simply an accident of 'birth'.
  9. This would have been better said in private, face to face. Airing it in public doesn't help the situation in any way.
  10. I'm not ranting. I made a perfectly reasonable point about the popularity of, or lack of, the Scottish game on UK television. You were the one who jumped in feet first seeing what you wanted to see.
  11. Has that been disputed anywhere?
  12. The money they receive is based on the league. If each club had individual TV deals then I could see your point.
  13. If? Your first post suggested that they were for Scotland only, indeed it's the only way that your words could make any sense.
  14. When the sound of the battle is over It's shoulder to shoulder we'll stand... Aye, right ye are. The pettiness and downright arrogance displayed by some beggars belief. "If you want to support Rangers, you must do it the same way as me." It's pathetic.
  15. When I need lifestyle advice from some random on the internet, I'll be sure to holler in your direction. Now, can we get back to these viewing figures?
  16. You're the one who appears to have got het up over me making an observation on the low figures. Please accept my apologies as I had assumed that these were UK figures and not just for Scotland. They are far healthier than I first imagined. Are there comparative figures to show the picture nationally and to see how popular the game is outside it's own borders?

Difficult to age as nothing was won between 1966 and 1971. I can say with the utmost confidence that it doesn't pre-date 1966.
  18. To put things into perspective, that season opener ranks alongside something like Swansea v Villa. Nothing to shout about.
  19. Fuck knows, but it's certainly popular with the Seans, the Kevins and the Barrys of the Twittersphere.
  20. What have I defended? Where have I claimed that the BBC are partial?
  21. No, I don't work for the BBC, not that I see the relevance. If I have got something wrong, then I am more than happy to be corrected. Fire away.
