I agree with your point, but I actually think all the new forwards fit - except Dessers. Lammers' stats suggested a pressing forward, which fits a high press. I never thought he was a #10, which is where he has been played. Cantwell is far superior and had been very effective in that role. But, you're right, it has been a mess, in terms of set-up and use of players. It's a different front three every week! I don't know why he hasn't built on some interesting ideas, re the diamond. Perhaps he can't, or doesn't know how? I have other issues with recruitment, too.

To be honest, experienced, successful managers are out of our league for the most part. We really need to look for up-and-coming, talented coaches. And then - you're correct - you need the structure in place to make the most of that.
