I've always been in favour of VAR. I think, no matter how incompetent, in certain situations like an offside, they cannot hide because the lines are there. What's more, we can see them. If it is conspiratorial, then we'll know. I keep going back to their goal in the League Cup Final a few years ago; the most glaring offside goal you'll ever see, which would have been overturned with VAR. Of course, there are and will always be interpretation of rules in certain situations, as there should be. It's here that their incompetence will just carry over; you're not changing that without drafting in a better standard of Referee.

We should look at getting a dedicated set-piece coach. I noticed SG retained Austin McPhee in that same role at Villa. It's a big part of the game; we need to be better at it.

Agreed - that's what's let us down. Not good enough. (I just saw the graphic with the shots.)

I can't fault the effort. I'm annoyed it's come to this and that we're not in a winning position, but the effort, here, is terrific.

F*ck me! It's ping-ponging everywhere except into the net. It's bad juju, I'm telling you.

The fact that we can go toe-to-toe with Dortmund, on their own patch, and yet struggle to beat this scummy outfit, sums it up. We need to be able to create more chances against these sides - even if you don't take them, which happens from time to time - work the 'keeper relentlessly.

There's not enough players in the box, for me. When Sakala's smashing it across goal, there should be two or three, not just Morelos.
