The stats suggest he's a solid, safe passer, and combative. He doesn't get robbed and doesn't give the ball away, and has a lot of touches. He takes a lot of long balls to release runners. He doesn't create much or get on the end of things but is good defensively: high in both ground and aerial duels won, high in recoveries and high in interceptions. He's only 21 and Scottish. He fits into the two central midfield positions PC likes. Clever signing.

I might be on course for a blank game day. After blanking with the two games thus far, I've also gone for Italy, which is not a popular prediction.

Erm... @compo has just went from the relegation zone to top in the space of two matches! Two Correct Scores, and a JOKER applied! @Gonzo79 and @Whosthedado pick up correct scores from the GER-HUN game. 11 of us boxed clever by applying our JOKER to the GER-HUN match, picking up an extra point.

That Albania equaliser was a coupon buster. Only @Ted McMinnime picked up a point.

Albania deserve the point, but we've all (except one) been done out of some points.

We're just waiting on @Tannochsidebear's predictions.

Matchday 1 concludes with some high scores, with 6 Correct Scores gained in the POR-CZE match. @der Berliner leads the way, with myself a point back. There's then only a couple of points separating the rest. Our defending champion @Gonzo79 languishes in 16th place despite having the joint-second highest CR %.

What a game.

You love to see the 'keeper come up when going for a goal, but that's just cost me a Correct Score. Gutted.
