  1. Jefte is an attacking left back. Poveda is a winger just released by Leeds. I quite like him. We're not linked with him - neither with Riedewald - but I quite like them as players, and they've been released.
  2. Here's my first team: Cortes - Danilo - Poveda Jefte - Diomande - Alzate - Sterling Riedewald - McKenna - H. Souttar Butland Second string: Kabadayi - Dessers - McCausland Yilmaz - Raskin - Barron - Devine Galdames - Balogun - J. Souttar Kelly Championees!
  3. This matches the stats: quick, likes to take on his man, but doesn't contribute much in the buildup with very few passes. I quite like the profile. I think that we could teach/coach the buildup stuff.
  4. We're being linked with Steven Alzate again.
  5. Those two numbers don't really tell you much. I believe they are in a really bad state financially?
  6. Which numbers specifically caught your eye?
  7. We're very picky for a team that has ... *Checks notes* ... Nae defenders.
  8. Scott McKenna has been released by Forrrrrrest. Just saying...
  9. We're so thin! LW CF RW Matondo Dessers Cortes Lawrence Danilo McCausland Lammers Wright AM Cantwell Dowell Hagi Lowry CM Diomande Raskin Sterling LB LCB RCB RB Jefte Souttar Goldson Tavernier Yilmaz Balogun Davies Devine Fraser King GK Butland McCrorie Wright
  10. [Al-Riyadiya] Steven Gerrard has reportedly stepped up his plans to take James Tavernier and Connor Goldson to Saudi Arabia. Al-Ettifaq are now said to be preparing their offer for the duo.
  11. Rangers interested in highly-rated Arsenal defender https://www.scotsman.com/sport/football/rangers/rangers-transfer-reuell-walters-arsenal-summer-transfer-window-scottish-premiership-4650312
  12. What's going on?! Sensible transfers, completed early ...
  13. Now cracks a noble heart. Good-night, sweet prince; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
  14. It was like us in the Scottish Cup final: there for the taking, but couldn't get over the line.
  15. Balogun signs contract extension. https://www.rangers.co.uk/Article/leon-balogun-signs-contract-extension-at-rangers/6d5xBKLJQMqq6pJOv8BLgj
  16. I know Butland is an excellent shot-stopper and he has been terrific, but his style doesn't quite suit what we need, which is a sweeper-keeper. I wouldn't be unhappy if he was sold.
  17. RANGERS can confirm Chief Executive Officer, James Bisgrove, will leave the club having accepted a new football role in the Middle East. https://www.rangers.co.uk/Article/rangers-announce-departure-of-james-bisgrove/3AkG7tgNAM1Ug6u379jQ83
  18. Hear me out: Kieran Tierney? Perfect for the vacated treatment table role.
  19. Second clip:
  20. Don't know where to put this, but thought it was funny:
  21. It may well be that he doesn't have the mental fortitude to play for Rangers. The facts are that he didn't have many good goalscoring chances with us - even that open goal (I can't remember who it was against?) was a difficult chance because the ball was too far in front of him before he could get to it. His chances were mostly long range. His xG was only 4 (he scored 2) in the league. Todd Cantwell, in a similar position has an xG of 5 from double the games. Dessers, played as the #9, has a full-season xG of 19 (he scored 16). Now we've seen him do well for Utrecht as a #9: 10 goals from an xG of 9. I'm not saying he's the messiah, like Josh Windass, merely that he'd have a better return if he was played as a striker, rather than a #10 or on the wing.
  22. You often get players that are good passers, for example, playing in Europe at centre-back or as a deep-lying playmaker. They come to the UK and our dinosaurs think, 'oh - he can pass a bit, let's put him in the hole', and then wonder why it doesn't work out.
  23. Wikipedia: "[Bartram] got his national breakthrough with AGF in the top-flight Danish 1st Division championship as a left-sided attacking midfielder, and helped the club win the 1986 1st Division championship." "[Bartram] signed for Scottish club Rangers, but his stay was a short one. He was assured by Rangers manager Graeme Souness that he would fit into his tactics, but found himself deployed as a strictly defensive full back." Poor fit, or not used properly?
  24. He hasn't been injured, as far as I can see - it's just the nature of the Argentine league, which is split up. Fbref, I believe, don't have data for every competition.
