Looks like the BF story is going to grow arms and legs. A well respected poster on another forum who also writes artciles for a fanzine, whom has been spot on before (it was he who first broke the PLG and Boomsong stories) had a wee piece in the fanzine on Saturday. He basically stated that BF's Rangers career would suddenly start to go backwards and has now posted on another forum that his successor has been lined up and will be here during the tansfer window. It is the same player whom I posted about a few months back who had some great words about Rangers, the support and the club. When DM appointed PLG, along with all the fan-fair and 'look at me' and 'look what I've done', that surrounds The Mint's every appearence on TV, he promised us that this new era would herald 'Moonbeam's of Success' (or something similar) for Rangers. He promised that the arrival of PLG would be accompanied by vast investment that would 'shake Scottish football to it's foundations' that would ensure that Rangers FC would never again be in debt and that the new manager would see a 'substantial' amount as a transfer kitty. When PL was haggling over a new contract, David Murray informed us that if PL didn't sign his contract that we had two players lined up as replacements. He hinted that these players would be of similar, or better quality. When he told us that PLG was taking over for the much maligined (sp) Eck that this was a new era, the start of something special. The reality is that it is the worst and barkest time I can remember being a Rangers fan. We are a circus on and off the pitch, our enemies are still allowed free reign and our custodian sits in his new house not bothering his hint end. The Rangers we knew and love have died, and David Murray is the person who has killed them. I warned a few years back that this would get worse instead of better and I get no pleasure in saying 'I told you so'. We are a mess, from top to bottom and that includes the players and management structure. We have a Chairman that has informed us that he is no longer interested in the club, he is preparing to sell in a buyers market and nobody will touch us as we owe far to much money to Murray at the moment. So with no buyer on the horizon, Murray continues to cost cut, take money from the club, allow our enemies to attack us at every opportunity and the VAST majority of us sit back and fucking applaud/defend him... So for the 2nd season in succession we are struggling to finish 2nd in a two horse race and the mighty Glasgow Rangers, THE Rangers, the greatest club in the world have degenerated into an embarrassment and we continue to fall behind our rivals both on and off the field and our traditions, culture and good name are dragged through the dirt as we become nothing more than a laughing stock. We can blame the players, we can blame managers (past and present) and we can blame the board and the owner, but in reality, we are as much to blame (if not more) than all of the above.
