    Report card

Very few positives player wise - Igamane showed little glimpses of potential, Cerny would be my POTY just ahead of Dessers who once again ended up with 20+ goals. Clement should have been fired months before he was, the red flags were there in pre-season. Our fitness was shocking. Our board are not fit for purpose. Work on Copland is still ongoing, 1 year after it started. EL gave us some hope, but fizzled out in the later stages. At least we'll kick off next season at Ibrox and, all going well, new board, new manager and some new players. All aboard.......
  3. Along with our Arsenal shares.
  4. Thats not in the managers remit, we need a strong board/structure behind the manager to tackle the "corruption".
  5. I don't think we can be naive to think that nobody gets snippets from people in and around the club. I'm lucky to know a couple of people who are involved in and around the club and some of the things they pass on materialise, other things they say don't materialise. That's the way of the world. I only ever post things I've heard that are "plausible" (like Lampard being at the Training ground recently). No one is ever going to get things 100% correct but it is worth noting that "journalists" now lift their "exclusives" from social media.
  6. Agreed and Everton fans had nothing but nice things to say about Thelwell but its more mixed when it comes to Purdy (fans saying some of his signings were "slow" and he signed too many players). As I said, it may just be coincidence that both are leaving Everton but surprised that their departures have gone largely unreported and that they've not been linked to us. However, they'll probably end up elsewhere!
  7. I wonder how Barry has the authority to sack anyone? What Keith, like most of his colleagues have missed is that two of Thelwells trusted staff (Dan Purdy - Head Of Recruitment and Gareth Poser) are leaving Everton. Purdy would be a direct replacement for Koppen, but maybe it's just a coincidence that they are leaving Everton.
  8. As well as gaining promotion, King cup win for Athletic.
  9. Yeah, bound to be at least one on here though......... #trustnoone
  10. Interesting - who are we outing as Tim's on here........🙃
  11. Don't know how reliable this is but thought I'd post it
  12. Probably fan-media.
  13. Davide Ancelotti will hold further discussions with Rangers in the coming days. He is keen to become the next Ibrox boss. Reports in Spain suggesting a deal has been agreed are premature. No announcement is imminent. Source: Chris Jack
  14. Also said he didn't rate Clement - so he's gone up in my estimations.
  15. So because we're a shitshow just now means we can't remember previous triumphs? Are we only allowed to remember days like Helicopter Sunday or Barcelona if we're being successful?
  16. Not seen this mentioned, but yesterday was the 20th anniversary of Helicopter Sunday. What a day it was - Motherwell managed by former Ranger Terry Butcher winning 2-1 thanks to two late goals from Celtic bound Scott McDonald. Rangers defeating Hibs 1-0 where both teams settled for 1-0 long before the final whistle (score suited both teams). Rangers fans belting out Sunshine On Leith whilst awaiting the arrival of the helicopter/trophy. Marvin Andrews defying all medical advice and somehow managing to play through a serious injury in the title run in. He also delivered the now famous Keep Believing message. We'll all have our stories and memories of that day and I was lucky enough to be there that day. Still can't quite believe what happened in those closing minutes.
  17. Our board are more concerned about UB Tifos than "corrupt" officials.
  18. Without the goal threat McDonald had.
  19. Don't think it's all to do with our "track record". Look at the Billy Gilmour scenario, Chelsea basically made it impossible for the lad to turn down the move. We simply can't compete with that these clubs can offer.
  20. Dave King, despite what some Rangers fans say and think, is close to the discussions and will know where the process stands. Also, it's been widely reported in fan media that the conclusion date is end of May / start of June. We haven't reached the end of May yet, still a week to go, and as someone once said, a week is a long time in football.
  21. He is very highly rated so wouldn't be surprised if he gets a move sooner rather than later.
  22. Nothing is holding up the process, other than the complexities of any takeover. Didn't Dave King say everything is moving along and all that was outstanding was getting the footballing authorities "blessing". The timescale for completion was always late May, early June. Maybe it's all down to that word that gets banded around in here, patience......
