    Edu

It's only natural for fans to give players a hard time if they are underperforming, although I'm not too much into that as I see it as counter productive, but then again these players are highly paid professionals and should be able to handle constructive criticism, but constructive criticism is usualy in short supply when it comes to Rangers fans. Edu had a couple of excellent strikes form distance in the first half that the BBC highlights never showed for some reason?
  2. One thing is quite clear in all this though, and that is the BHEASTS have made it very difficult for the refs with their attack on refs and the SFA,inTIMidation.
  3. He does say that is his preferred position, means he will be deployed on the right
  4. Aye for me
  5. Once the BHEASTS start dropping points, which they will, the squealing will start again.
  6. Looked hungry, showed pace, skill and grit. Hopefully he brings to the table what he says he can.
  7. Just as tedious as fans moaning about players, tedious as fuck,as you say they make mistakes, deal with it.
  8. Aye,the guy gets enough stick from opposition fans,no need for our own fans to slag him off. Each to their own I suppose.
  9. JUST how many managers will it take to attack the crazy Scottish Football Association system which gives a lawyer the power to overrule referees, before the Hampden powerbrokers realise the error of their ways? Most managers think the whole set up is a joke and want to know just what Peter Lawwellâ??s pal, Stewart Regan, believes are the special qualities Vincent Lunny has which makes him know more about football than a FIFA referee? But there are just as many of those bosses who do not believe Reganâ??s SFA will do a thing to sort it out until Lunny crosses Celtic. If that ever happens! For with the season in its second half there has been no refereeing confrontation with Celtic. Funny that! Especially since last season Celtic were habitual Monday morning moaners about refs. Therefore, either refs have stopped making mistakes which see Celtic on the wrong end of their decisions, or Celtic have suddenly become the best behaved team in Scotland. By a mile. For years successive Celtic managers breathed fire about refereeing decisions going against them and fought a running battle with the authorities, who held their ground and refused to be brow beaten or intimidated by either threats or other intemperate language. However, since the arrival of Stewart Regan as chief executive of the SFA and him laying down the welcome met for Lawwell to join him at the boardroom table, all has been sweetness and light between Celtic and the SFA. Funny that. As I said, either refs have stopped making mistakes â?? but only those which would punish Celtic â?? or Celtic have become regular little choir bhoys. The only other alternative is that referees are running scared of becoming involved in a showdown with Reganâ??s pal, Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell, who is the most powerful of powerbrokers at the heart of Reganâ??s SFA, because they know they canâ??t win and are fearful for their careers. And that is too terrible a scenario to be given serious consideration for the future integrity of Scottish football. The truth is the whole new disciplinary set up is a mess. Or, if you like, a muddle. No surprise there then as it came in the wake of the blueprint for footballâ??s future drawn up for the SFA by Henry â??itâ??s a muddle not a fiddleâ? McLeish. Sooner or later though, perhaps even subconsciously because of pressure he may feel under from the boardroom of Regan and Lawwellâ??s SFA, a referee will make a decision against a team which is playing against Celtic which is blatantly wrong, but proves to be crucial . Perhaps it will even come in an Old Firm, game. When that happens it will be interesting to see if Regan and lawyer Lunny are twisting in he wind. And to discover which way the storm will leave them facing. http://leggoland2.blogspot.com/
  10. Looks like they enjoyed that win
  11. EVERTON are poised to table an £8million bid for Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic. And Ibrox manager Ally McCoist is weighing up a deadline-busting swoop for Hearts starlet David Templeton IF the Croatian hitman is sold. SunSport can reveal Everton approached Gers last night, but no formal offer was made. Toffees gaffer David Moyes is a long-time admirer of Jelavic and tried to sign him before he moved to Ibrox two years ago. Everton will use the cash from the £5m sale of Russian winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov to Spartak Moscow to help finance the Jelavic swoop. Moyes is in the market for firepower, with his shot-shy Blues scoring just 22 goals in 22 Premiership games this season. And Jelavic, who has netted 30 times in 45 SPL games for Gers following his £4m move from Rapid Vienna two years ago, fits the bill. Sunderland, West Ham and Liverpool have all shown an interest in the Croat, yet no one has been able to match Gers' £10m valuation. But with just 48 hours before the transfer window closes, Everton are set to up the ante. SunSport understands Hammers manager Sam Allardyce hasn't given up hope of luring Jela to Upton Park, but Gers could find Everton's offer hard to resist. Any sale now would leave McCoist with little time to secure a big-name replacement. SunSport understands Norwich striker Grant Holt remains at the top of his list. But Tynecastle wide boy Templeton has now emerged as a target if McCoist is given funds to add to his squad. The Gers boss rates the 23-year-old highly and hopes he could be given the cash to sign him in a shock deal. Hearts are likely to be open to business, with owner Vladimir Romanov eager to reduce the club's wage bill. Gers are also set to send Spanish flop Juan Ortiz to Almeria. Meanwhile, Jelavic's mentor has laughed off Neil Warnock's claims he is not worth £10m. Zoran Vulic gave Jelavic his pro debut at Hadjuk Split. He said: "When I read the quotes from Warnock I was very annoyed. He is completely wrong. "Chelsea paid £50m for Fernando Torres and Liverpool spent £35m to buy Andy Carroll. "If you paid these figures for these players, how can you not value Jelavic at £10m?" 12. EVERTON last night tabled a £6million-plus offer for Nikica Jelavic – and the striker turned up the heat on Rangers by telling them he wants to go. Toffees boss David Moyes made his move for the Croatian international after raising the cash by selling winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov to CSKA Moscow. Both clubs were locked in talks, which includes future add-ons, late into the evening, with the first bid being around £5m but that offer was dismissed out of hand. The Merseyside club then upped the ante by another million by throwing in a number of players in a part-exchange deal – although Ibrox boss Ally McCoist doesn’t particularly fancy any of them. Rangers turned down a bigger offer from Championship side Leicester City in the last window, but their position has been weakened as Jelavic, above, has now told Rangers he wants to leave. The late move leaves McCoist with a major headache going into the last 48 hours of the transfer window. ì Like any other manager I like things to go my way but that is not always going to be the case î Ally McCoist He will now see who he can get on loan from England before the 11pm deadline tomorrow. He had hoped to keep Jelavic after seeing off a bid from Championship title-chasers West Ham United earlier this week. McCoist was also ready to team Jelavic up with his ex-Rapid Vienna strike partner Hamdi Salihi but that deal is now set to be killed off. McCoist is also keen on Norwich City hitman Grant Holt and Real Valladolid striker Javi Guerra but he is struggling to raise the funds for either. “Like any other manager I like things to go my way but that is not always going to be the case,” said McCoist. “You just hope you come through it at the other end with a fighting chance and I’m sure we will do that. “There’s not just life beyond Nikica, there is life beyond us all. There are bigger players who have left this club and the club always goes on. “I wouldn’t like to lose him but I understand the economics of our club and that sometimes that dictates what happens. I have to be realistic, but if he stays at the club I’m a happy man.” McCoist was dealt another blow when Celtic beat him to the punch to sign Polish striker Pawel Brozek on loan from Trabzonspor. Rangers had been tracking Brozek for several weeks but were unable to move anybody on to cover his £10,000-a-week wage and that allowed the Hoops to step in. McCoist admitted: “It’s a disappointment, he was a player we were looking at and were interested in but there was no specific bids made and no contact with the player or his agent. “He is absolutely well within his rights to do what he thinks is best for himself. It would take a lot more than that to really disappoint me.” http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/298870/Tofees-Jela-bid
  13. STUNNED former Celtic boss Gordon Strachan has revealed he sparked controversy by wearing a BLUE shirt on his first day at Parkhead. The ex-Hoops manager also admitted he had to change his car when he joined the club because it was the same colour. And speaking in a hard-hitting football documentary, former Scotland idol Strachan claimed the religious divide in Scotland is getting worse. He said: "It borders on evil. When people get murdered for wearing a different colour, then that is evil. "There is no hiding place in Scotland. There was a reaction when I wore a blue shirt on my first day at Celtic. That sums it up. "I had to change my car. I had a blue car and I was advised to change it." Strachan â?? who won three league titles with the Hoops between 2005 and 2009 â?? spoke out during a TV interview about Maurice Johnston's controversial move to Rangers in 1989. Graeme Souness signed the ex-Celtic star as he was set to rejoin the Parkhead club, making him the Ibrox side's first Catholic player in modern times â?? and sparking outrage among both sets of Old Firm fans. But Strachan â?? appearing on ITV show 20 Football Transfers That Shook The World â?? insisted the shock move had not eased sectarian tensions here. He added: "Mo was brave in doing that, there is no doubt about that, and so was Graeme, but it has not broken down any barriers. "At a recent Rangers and Celtic game there were 300 arrests. The jails in Glasgow literally couldn't hold any more people. "I think that it is getting even worse now. "I wish we could have said that it broke down barriers and we all lived happily ever after in the west of Scotland, but it has not changed a bit." Controversial anti-bigotry laws were forced through the Scottish Parliament last year. The SNP used their majority to pass the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications Bill in a 64-57 vote. The new legislation gives the police powers to deal with sectarian and offensive chanting and threatening behaviour likely to cause public disorder. At the time, Lord Advocate Frank Mulholland QC described the Bill as "one of the most important pieces of legislation to be passed by the Scottish Parliament". However, some critics of the Bill claim the law changes could actually make sectarian problems worse. 23. Sky Sports sources understand Everton have made an official offer to sign Rangers' in-demand striker Nikica Jelavic. Everton boss David Moyes is eager to boost his attacking options before the close of the transfer window and has been linked with Wolves forward Kevin Doyle. He is also a fan of Jelavic and has launched a raid for the Croatia international ahead of Tuesday's transfer deadline. Jelavic missed Rangers' 4-0 win over Hibernian on Saturday through illness after attracting interest from West Ham United earlier in the transfer window. The 26-year-old has also been linked with Everton's local rivals Liverpool and Queens Park Rangers, as Gers boss Ally McCoist seeks to hang on to his leading scorer. McCoist revealed before the weekend that he was hopeful of keeping Jelavic at Ibrox, but subsequently commented that the victory over Hibs proved Rangers could cope without him. However, Everton are now in pole position to snap up Jelavic and are locked in talks with Rangers in the hope of finalising an agreement before the window shuts. Sources close to the player say that Jelavic is eager to move to the English Premier League and it would be a dream come true to play in the division. Everton have money to improve their squad after selling Russian winger Diniyar Bilyaletdinov to Spartak Moscow. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11781/7464428/ Edit/Delete Message
