  1. Scottish football is as bad now as it has ever been and will continue to worsen, entertaining is not a word I would use to describe any SPL team. Continualy being the number 1 team in the SPL is what it is all about, winning titles and trophies.Barca are entertaining but no Scottish team will ever reach that standard.

  7. I think Broadfoot get's a wee bit too much of a hard time,he is a decent full back,I also don't think his run in with a couple of fans would influence his selection tbh.

  9. JACKIE McNAMARA says Kyle Hutton is ready to nail down a place in the Rangers first team after conceding defeat in his bid to keep him at Partick Thistle. The 20-year-old on-loan midfielder will play his final game for the Jags at Morton on Saturday after Ibrox boss Ally McCoist recalled him. Thistle manager McNamara said: "Kyle's been excellent and I think he has a chance of getting some games there now. But I don't pick the Rangers team and Ally will know what he can do." http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/sfl/2011/12/09/partick-thistle-boss-jackie-mcnamara-backs-kyle-hutton-to-be-rangers-success-86908-23621830/
  10. Friday, 09 December 2011 19:51 The Board of the Rangers Supporters Trust expresses unequivocal support for the club's manager Ally McCoist in questioning the conduct of the Compliance Officer and Judicial Panel. There is no evidence or transparency about how the Compliance Officer, who does not have a football background, decides which cases merit his attention. We also consider that the Club's current dispute with the BBC has led to employees of the Corporation using every available opportunity to denigrate, undermine or attack Rangers FC, including focusing disproportionate and undue attention on the Club. The Scottish sporting media has obvious and considerable influence in directing attention to certain cases and without transparency and accountability the Trust Board believes that the Rangers support will continue to have no confidence in either the Compliance Officer or the Judicial Panel. This mistrust is being aggravated by SFA Chief Executive Stewart Regan's unwillingness to discuss this publicly; an unwillingness which includes blocking pertinent questions on this to his Twitter account, including one from an RST Board member. The Trust considers that confidence must be restored by greater transparency and accountability and has therefore written to the SFA asking the following questions: What qualifications in relation to footballing matters does the compliance officer have? What is the decision-making process by which the compliance officer recommends an incident to the panel? How can a player receive a fair hearing from a panel already have been influenced by hysterical and partisan media coverage? How did the panel find Sone Aluko guilty, despite themselves conceding there had been contact? Why is the player being given a relatively severe punishment for something the panel themselves deemed a refereeing error? Who has the greater authority in the game: the referee or the compliance officer? http://www.rangerssupporterstrust.co.uk/rstsite/latest-rst-news/408-rst-board-expresses-unequivocal-support-for-ally-mccoist
  11. I don't know. I think in the last few seasons the BHEASTS have upped the anti, they seem to be on a mission to right all the wrongs of the past?,one thing is for sure the BHEASTS really do believe in their own shite that they spout and it has come to a head?. I can't remember it being as bad as it is now,I could be wrong of course but that's what it seems like to me.The BHEASTS will stop at nothing to try and destroy the Rangers. Again i will say I don't know and I could be just talking a load of shite?.
  12. Carry on,as I said I don't give a shit:)

  14. Police are searching for 20 football fans who jumped on seats, banged on windows and sang sectarian songs. A gang of 20 football fans who terrorised rail passengers with sectarian chanting is being sought by police. Passengers on the Inverness to Glasgow train were subjected to rowdy behaviour, including sectarian chanting, on Sunday, December 4. The group jumped on seats, banged on windows and were heard singing and chanting sectarian songs. The supporters boarded the train at Dundee shortly after 7pm, after Celtic's victory over Dundee United. British Transport Police constable Lorraine Lowe said: "Passengers and rail staff have the right to travel without the fear of encountering anti-social behaviour of this kind. "I am anxious to speak with anyone who travelled on this train and has information regarding the identity of those involved. "CCTV footage from the train will also be examined as part of the investigation. The train involved was the 3.27pm service which runs from Inverness to Glasgow Queen Street via Aberdeen." Anyone with information is asked to call British Transport Police on 0800 405040 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 http://news.stv.tv/scotland/tayside/286385-football-fans-terrorised-rail-passengers-with-sectarian-songs/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  15. RANGERS will only consider selling star-man Nikica Jelavic next month if any interested clubs trigger their £10million valuation of the Croatian striker. Speculation continues to grow that Jelavic will be sold when the January transfer window opens, with Liverpool and West Brom said to be tracking the player and weighing up £7.5m offers. Rangers manager Ally McCoist has held fresh talks with Jelavic over his future, and has been assured that he is happy and is not desperate to leave. That said, the club’s hierarchy are acutely aware there is interest in the man signed from Rapid Vienna 18 months ago for £4m. A senior source, however, told SportTimes there has been no contact from either Liverpool or West Brom. No bids have been tabled for Jelavic since the last hours of the transfer window in August, when an agent made Rangers aware that Leicester would be willing to up their previously rejected £6m offer for the 26-year-old to £8m, plus a further £1m in add-ons dependent on several clauses. McCoist met owner and chairman Craig Whyte last night to discuss the transfer strategy for January, and it is believed it will take the sum of £10m for Gers to be tempted to do any business on Jelavic. Although no approaches have been made yet to his agent for discussions to increase the salary and length of his current contract – which has two-and-a-half years still to run – this has not been ruled out as Rangers look to fully protect their main asset. Despite ongoing concerns over the club’s finances, we understand that McCoist has been assured by Whyte that a budget will be there for him to pursue new faces – although it won’t be massive and will require some smart shopping from the man who is trying to drive Rangers on to four-in-a-row. He has also been told that there is no demand for star players to be sold, although Whyte knows that given the financial climate in Scotland, massive offers will be impossible to resist. McCoist’s concern was whether he will be given funds to buy replacements if, for instance, someone met their valuation of Jelavic, but he has been told that money would be there for him to bring new players in, with strikers and wide midfielders a priority. Fringe players such as club captain Davie Weir, John Fleck, Northern Ireland striker David Healy and Spanish midfielder Juan Ortiz, who only arrived in the summer, could all move on next month to boost McCoist’s kitty and release wages.
  16. The former financial director initiated legal proceedings against the Ibrox club after owner Craig Whyte took over in May. Rangers FC have agreed to settle a £300,000 compensation claim for damages brought by the football club's former finance director. Donald McIntyre initiated legal proceedings against the Ibrox club after owner Craig Whyte took over in May. Mr McIntyre and former chief executive Martin Bain had a total of £780,000 of Rangers' assets frozen as they raised actions against the club. On Friday, Mr McIntyreâ??s counsel, Jonathan Brown, told Lord Hodge at the Court of Session in Edinburgh: "I am pleased to say parties have reached, somewhat surprisingly, an agreement." At an earlier court hearing, Lord Hodge arrested £300,000 of assets at Ibrox for Mr McIntyreâ??s claim where the former directorâ??s lawyers had set out his contractual entitlements and made a prima facie case in favour of a claim for damage to his reputation. The terms of the settlement of the action were not disclosed after the brief hearing and Mr McIntyre, who was in court, declined to comment afterwards. Mr Brown asked the judge for a continuation in the action and explained: "There are certain documentary requirements of a settlement of this nature that have to be thrashed out. It is just not feasible to get that document worked out this morning." The judge agreed to a continuation for a week but said that if the parties lodged a document settling the action ahead of it the hearing would be discharged. Lord Hodge was told in October that chartered accountant Mr McIntyre was "kept on the hook" following his five-month suspension at Rangers after the club was taken over by venture capitalist Craig Whyte from Sir David Murray. He resigned as a director after treating his contract as having been repudiated and raised a damages action. His contract had provided for a £120,000 a year salary plus bonuses and other provisions. During the previous hearing at which Rangers were not represented the court heard that it was Mr McIntyre's position that there was not and never had been a basis for his suspension and it was maintained that it had not carried out disciplinary procedures in his case. His counsel at that hearing, Stuart Buchanan, said: "This is a professional man who has been suspended as finance director who has made every effort to co-operate with Mr Whyte and every effort has been rebuffed." He said he had been kept hanging for five months waiting for some sort of progress to be made to clear his name. Mr Buchanan added: "What is important to Mr McIntyre is the question of his reputation and his maintaining his professional status." The counsel said the only communication, "if it could be called that", was through press reports that Mr McIntyre had picked up while suspended. The Ibrox club is also being sued by its former chief executive, Martin Bain, who has raised a claim for £1.3m alleging that Rangers repudiated his contract of employment. Lord Hodge had already ruled in the arrestment proceedings brought by Mr Bain that there was "a real and substantial risk" of insolvency at Rangers if they lost an appeal against a £49m tax and penalties bill owed to HM Revenue and Customs. The tax case is scheduled for more hearings in Edinburgh next month. In his first TV interview since taking over the club, Mr Whyte told STV News the club suspended Mr McIntyre and Mr Bain as they were being "investigated". He added: "We will fight the court cases. These are people who have taken a lot of money out of Rangers over the years and maybe havenâ??t done the best of jobs in running the business. And I think they have a cheek in saying some of the things they say, in suing Rangers for even more money." http://news.stv.tv/scotland/west-central/286391-rangers-fc-settle-300000-damages-claim-with-former-director/

  22. STEVEN NAISMITH was last night warned the Tartan Army will turn against him and call for the end of his Scotland career if he represents Team GB at next summer's Olympics. The Rangers star, 25, has sparked a furious backlash from fans after revealing his desire to play for Stuart Pearce's UK select side. Injured hitman Naisy joined QPR striker Jamie Mackie in publicly declaring his hopes of being selected as one of three over-age players. But he has been warned he is putting his international future and the Scottish national team's on the line with his comments. Hamish Husband, spokesman for the Association of Tartan Army Supporters Clubs, said: "What you have is a misguided player putting personal vanity ahead of the future of his national team. "We've campaigned against a GB Team and Naismith would be unwelcome to play for Scotland again in the eyes of most. He's endangering his future with the national team and the national team itself. "Mackie said the same but he's almost an irrelevance while Naismith has - or should I say had - a bright future with Scotland. "Naismith is seen as the bright future of the team under Craig Levein but not if he pulls on that GB shirt." http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/2011/12/09/rangers-star-steven-naismith-told-to-snub-team-gb-revealing-olympics-desire-86908-23621823/
