    Joe Cole

He possibly would, but it won't happen,he will stay in the EPL
  2. Is everybody not over reacting to the comparison?,who really cares what was said to get him here?.
  3. McFadden will go to the BHEASTS before us as he is one of them,I'd take Goodwillie before him anyway.
  4. KRIS BOYD will fly to Turkey today to seal a £40,000-a-week deal with Eskisehirspor. The Scotland striker will sign a three-year contract tomorrow after the Super Lig outfit agreed a £1.75million fee with Middlesbrough. Boyd, 28 next month, had the chance to move to Turkey when he left Rangers on a Bosman last summer before joining Boro. His transfer to the Riverside turned sour and he spent the second half of last season on loan at Nottingham Forest. Boyd's hopes of a permanent move to the City Ground ended when Billy Davies was sacked last month. Now he is poised to follow former Gers and Scotland strike partner Kenny Miller to the Super Lig. Boyd will join former Celtic frontman Diomansy Kamara at Eskisehirspor after his recent switch from Fulham. Eskisehirspor finished seventh last season - four places adrift of Miller's Bursaspor - and want to push for Europe this term. The club has become mired in the Turkish match-fixing scandal this week with technical director Umit Karan among 40 people arrested. Karan will be freed from custody today and will conclude one of the biggest deals in the club's history when he ties up Boyd, who is then expected to be unveiled in front of thousands of supporters tomorrow. The top scorer in SPL history hopes the move can reignite his Scotland career under Craig Levein. The 18-times capped striker has scored seven goals for his country despite making himself unavailable for selection between October 2008 and November 2009. He returned for last season's Hampden clash with Liechtenstein and is eager to win a place for this autumn's Euro 2012 qualifiers. 6. NEW Aberdeen skipper Richard Foster hit out last night after he was booed by his OWN fans in Germany. The former Rangers loan star launched a foul-mouthed blast after being given pelters in his first game as skipper. But he has vowed NOT to back down and warned the supporters to shut up. Foster was named skipper ahead of last night's pre-season loss to Bundeliga II side Bochum. The small band of the Red Army started their abuse of the defender BEFORE kick-off. He was repeatedly told to go back to Ibrox after his successful loan spell last term and was booed when he touched the ball, causing Foster to snap at the interval, telling fans to 'f*** off'. Fozzie was amazed when the same fans - who have a fierce rivalry with Rangers - demanded he clap them after the game! Asked if he understood the Dons fans reactions, Foster raged: "No, not at all. I left Aberdeen to go on loan, I never asked to leave Aberdeen. I got to play in some massive games for Rangers and I was never going to turn that opportunity down. Now I am back here I have obviously proved to the manager that I want to be here because he made me captain, so I don't understand where they are coming from at all. "I know it may only be a small section of the fans, but I'll make it apparent it is not acceptable. "By and large they are great fans, but there is a small section who have taken a dislike to me. "But I won't shy away from that. I'll let them know I don't enjoy it. "I never said I wanted to go away - I was effectively sent away. I just tried to do my best when I was away and then for the whole first half I was getting abuse and yet they expected me to clap them at the end! "I was quite gutted. I don't think I should have to win them over, but I think I will have to." Dons boss Craig Brown - who saw Darren Mackie score as the Dons lost to a last-minute goal - insisted: "I'm not giving it the old Wenger treatment by saying I didn't see it but I think what happened to Richard is unfair. "His reaction will not endear him to the supporters but there were mitigating circumstances." 7. Bochum 2 Ginczek 44, Aydin 90 Aberdeen 1 Mackie 85 NEW Aberdeen captain Richard Foster had an unhappy opening game as Dons skipper after an ugly confrontation with fans during last night's friendly in Germany. Foster was abused by the small band of Aberdeen supporters in Herne before he even kicked the ball. The Dons fans took exception to Foster's successful loan spell at rivals Rangers last season, which provoked the barracking. It continued throughout the game and the defender finally snapped by launching a foul-mouthed tirade at the supporters as he came off the pitch at half time. But the Pittodrie stalwart was adamant he would do the same again at a packed Pittodrie and fiercely defended his actions. Asked if he understood the fans reaction, he stated: "No, not at all. I left Aberdeen to go on loan. I never asked to leave Aberdeen. "I got to play in some massive games for Rangers and I was never going to turn that opportunity down. Now I am back here I have obviously proved to the manager over the first couple of weeks that I want to be here because he has made me captain. Aberdeen have got a good section of fans. By and large they are great fans, but there is a small section who have taken a dislike to me. But I won't shy away from that. I will let them know I don't enjoy it. The whole first half I was getting abuse and yet they expected me to clap them at the end!" Aberdeen manager Craig Brown added: "What happened to Richard Foster is unfair and if some supporters did have a go then I would say they are not insightful. "His reaction will not endear him to the supporters but there were mitigating circumstances." Darren Mackie netted his second goal in two pre-season games, but the Dons went down to the last kick of the ball to the Bundesliga II side. Aberdeen: Oldfield (Rossl 46), Clark, Considine, Mawene, Foster, Jack (Robertson 65), Fyvie (Gentner 68), Osbourne (Paton 68), Milson (Colic 68), Pawlett (Mackie 65), Vernon (Magennis 68).
  8. I was saying this a while back on here, there are thousands of bears based overseas and follow football wherever they are,it doesn't harm Rangers to at least take on board suggested players and they can check them out initialy from MP offices and if they feel they are worth taking further then can go scout them,in fact I'm sure it was Pete who had contacted Rangers at one time but never even got a reply. I would hope this would be the start of something.
  9. I think that is just half the list the guy sent in,not sure
  10. Player Recommendations Lamine Gassama - French Under 21 International out of contract with Lyon. Lamine is a powerful defender who plays at right back and can also play centre half. Athletic and powerful and good on the ball. Has champions league experience and attracting interest from The premiership. Been able to play in a couple of decisions is another thing to look at as well. Gueida Fofana - France Under 21 Captain valued at Ã?£1 Million pounds. Powerful athletic midfielder who saw his move to Astan Villa fall through in December due to a back problem. Gueida has also attracted interest from Liverpool and Chelsea. Currently plays in the French Second Division for Le Havre who have a history of producing good young players. His sell on value in a few years will see a huge profit for th buying club. Yacine Brahimi - French Under 21 International playing with Rennes. A fantastic talent full of tricks and excellent technical ability. Has two years left on his contract and valued at Ã?£2.5 Million. The type of player who is capable of a moment of magic to win the game. Admir Mehmedi - Switzerland under 21 international playing for FC Zurich. Reminds me of Kaka the way he makes football look so easy Gliding by players. Excellent balance and scores some lovely goals. Was a star at the recent U21 tournament along with his team mate Xhedran Shaqiri. Loic Nestor - le Havre centre half valued at Ã?£2 Million pounds. An old head on Young shoulders, 22 years of age, not the biggest of defenders but has a good footballing braing and attitude. Captained the French Under 21 side and another of Le Harves talanted young players. Jean Alain Fanchone - Left back who is contracted to Strasbourg, was on loan at Arles Avignon last season due to Strasbourg relagetion to the third division and financial troubles. Would command a fee of under Ã?£1 Million pounds and a bargain for a French Under 21 international. Quick tall defender with a good engine and attitude for the game. Selim Hammouche - French Algerian 18 year old playing for third division French side Gueugnon. One of the most talanted young playes outside the French Top league. Watched him play against Lyon under 18‘s where he stole the show. Fantastic technical ability. Dont expect the young midfielder to be playing at this level any longer. Can be picked up for Ã?£300k. Landry Mulemo - 24 year old Belgian defender playing for Bucaspor in Turkey. His side have been just relegated and he can be picked up for under Ã?£1million pounds. Liverpool were chasing him before his move to Turkey. Quick left back who likes to get forward. Torric Jebrin - What a talent this boy is, plays for Bucaspor in Turkey. Only signed for them in January after trials with Atl Madrid and Arsenal. Midfielder who likes to get stuck in and score goals. Good on the ball. One of the best young players in Turkey. Again due to Bucas relagation he will be looking to play at a higher level. Cenk Tousun - Turkish Under 21 international who holds a Germain passport. A big future ahead for Tosun who was fantastic for Gaziantep last season. Scored 10 Goals in 14 Games and has already been linked with the Istanbul 3. His fee has already risen to Ã?£3Million pounds but money well spent for a natural born finisher. Samuel Holman - Swedish midfielder playing for Istanbul BBS. There player of the season last year scoring some important goals from midfield from them. Good on the ball and likes making late runs supporting the forwards. 26 caps for Sweden. Would suit the british game with his style of play. Sahin Aygunes - German born Turkish under 21 International forward. Had a good season for bottom of the league Kasimpasa. 20 Years of age and a very good young player. Too good to play in the Turkish Second League. Strong player who woud cope with the British game. Valued at Ã?£400k. Fernando Varela - Along with Sahin Aygunes was one of very few positives from Kasimpasas season. Spanish midfilder who can only be described as a genius with the ball. Not the quickest but give him the ball and he can pass, dribble and score some cracking long distance goals. Excellent at set pieces as well. Hasan Ali Kaldrim - 20 Year old left back who plays with Kayserispor. One of Turkeys top young players with Fenerbahce interested. Very quick and excellent technical ability. Holds a German passport so no work permit problems. Fantastic prospect. Arash Afshin - 20 Year old Iranian international. One of the golden boys of Iranian football, great finisher, good technical ability and pace. The pick of the bunch on this list, playing with Foolad in Iran and can be picked up for a bargain. Karim Ansafarid - irans top young player, at 20 years of age is been chased by Dortmund and Everton. Valued at Ã?£500k. Already a member of the Iran national team. Great technical ability and could be the best player to come out of Iran in the history of Iranian football. Would be a sensational signing for Rangers with a huge sell on value.

  12. Lifted this from FF: I put up a post the other day about players i recommended to Rangers, honestly didnt expect anything back and couldnt believe my eyes when i checked my emails 5mins ago and saw an email from Gordon. Dear XXXXX Many thanks for your letter and list of players that you are recommending to us. It is a good market in Turkey with a great deal of enthusiasm for the game. I have passed your list on to Neil Murray and he will make the relevant enquiries into the players and facilitate any possible match footage we can get to back up the CVs. Thanks again for taking the trouble to contact us and please get in touch once the season starts and things calm down a bit and we can have a coffee together at Murray Park. Very best wishes Gordon If this is real then you have to admire GS for replying and taking a bit of interest.
  13. Interesting to hear Ally saying on the news that he has not given up on Goodwillie
  14. He's not over the line yet BD:whistling:
  15. Aye,I honestly think that when a lot of Rangers fans felt there was nobody from the club defending them and seeing the BHEASTS seemingly get away with singing whatever they liked it did make some fans retaliate and revert to some '' offensive songs '',now if they get the club defending them then I'm sure this won't happen.
  16. When you enter Penicuik, drive along the main street (John Street) past Tesco until you come to the junction at the Angle Park Tyre Centre, then take the right fork into Carlops Road. The Ground is 200 yards further along the road on the left hand side through the public park entrance. As parking is extremely limited, you can drive past the Angle Park Tyre Centre and park on John Street. The ground can be accessed on foot from John Street, through the public park entrance, 100 yards past the Bellmans Bar. You can also access the ground through the third public park entrance at the foot of Jackson Street. Post Code for Sat Nav Buffs: EH26 6HU http://www.penicuikathletic.co.uk/
  17. For too long Rangers have bent over and taken it up the ring, hopefully this will be a warning to the agenda driven mHedia, not to mention the BHEASTS.

  19. NACHO NOVO reckons fellow Spaniard Juan Manuel Ortiz will never have experienced anything like the passion of the Rangers support - even though he's played in front of 100,000 fans at the Nou Camp and Bernabeu. Former Ibrox hero Novo was delighted to learn his countryman has become Ally McCoist's first capture as Rangers manager and believes Ortiz will light up the SPL. And he insisted the Scottish champions will give his countryman the best experience of his football career. Novo, now with Sporting Gijon in La Liga, played and scored in a 1-1 draw against Ortiz's Almeria last term and feels the 29-year-old will love every minute of life in Glasgow. He said: "Ortiz is leaving one of the biggest leagues in the world to come to Scotland but I think this is a step up for him because he is joining one of the biggest clubs in the world. "Almeria spent four years in La Liga before going down at the end of the season but that was still a great achievement because it really is a small club. "They would have loved playing against clubs like Barcelona and Real Madrid in front of crowds of nearly 100,000 but most of those fans would have been against them. "Now Ortiz will be playing at Ibrox in front of 50,000 Rangers fans and he is going to experience an atmosphere like nothing else. When you have that many fans supporting you it makes you a better player and he is already good to start with." McCoist is likely to hand Ortiz a role on the right side of midfield but many of his 25 games for Almeria last season were played at right-back and left-back. Novo said: "He is quick and versatile. He always wants to get forward but in the match I played against Almeria, Ortiz was playing left-back and I was directly up against him on the right wing. "I scored our goal and played well against him. But I know he is a very good player and this is probably the best time for Ortiz to be trying something new. "He has spent all his career in Spain with some great clubs like Atletico Madrid and Osasuna but it is always exciting to go to another country and experience a different kind of football and a different culture. "I loved my time in Scotland with Raith, Dundee and Rangers - playing for the Rangers supporters is something I will never forget and I will always love the club. "I know Carlos Cuellar felt the same way when he was at Rangers. We spent a lot of time together and I know he would like to come back to the club. "Now another Spaniard is there and I am sure Juanma will grow to love the club the way I did. "Everyone looks after you so well and with the support behind him he can do great things." http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/football/spl/rangers/2011/07/06/rangers-fans-will-help-juan-manuel-ortiz-love-time-in-glasgow-says-ex-ibrox-star-nacho-novo-86908-23250907/
  20. Dunno mate, this might be my last trip there?????,not sure yet
  21. BOLTON and QPR are both on the trail of Motherwell’s Ã?£700,000-rated star Jamie Murphy who is also on Rangers radar. Express Sport also understands that Jamie Murphy and Motherwell boss Stuart McCall are aware of 'serious' interest from the Premiership pair as well as several Championship clubs. Bolton boss Owen Coyle knows the Scotland under-21 striker from his own time north of the border and views him as a good long-term prospect. Newly-promoted QPR are also monitoring the situation with McCall's former boss, Neil Warnock, now in charge at Loftus Road. Championship sides Leicester City and Crystal Palace are also in the mix for his signature , although Murphy's preference would be to head to the top-flight. Rangers boss Ally McCoist is known to rate the Well star highly- although his top option remains Dundee United's David Goodwillie if a deal can be done. http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/257098/QPR-and-Bolton-chase-Motherwell-s-Jamie-Murphy I like this guy,I think he would do a job for us.
