  1. Shows how important it was to win the league, even more important to retain the title this season to help us get on a more even keel with the MOPES,financially. As for the draw mmmmm, think I'd prefer AC Milan, Dinamo Kiev & FC Zurich, mind you I don't know how these teams are doing in their respective leagues, not too fussy tbh as I still see the CL as a bonus............I want to retain the title more than anything
  2. Already posted Stewart http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?t=12890&page=4
  3. Be interesting to find out how much Rangers have raised for charity through their hard work?,had a quick look on the official site but can't seem to find the info!!
  4. Agreed, again we could do with more mhedia coverage, mind you we are the big bad Rangers
  5. UEFA Europa League, play-off round, first leg action from the Maksimir Stadium, Zagreb. Hearts face Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb in the opening match of their Europa League campaign. The Tynecastle side face a difficult task against a team who dropped out of the Champions League after losing to Red Bull Salzburg in the third qualifying round. Csaba Laszlo embarks on his first European match as Hearts manager after leading his side to third place in the SPL last season. Today, 19:50 on BBC Two (Scotland only) I would like to see the Jambos get a good result tonight, give Scottish football a much needed lift after poor attempts so far from other Scottish,{Oirish}, teams in Europe. I also hope they have a tough game, make our trip to swinecastle a bit easier

  10. KRIS BOYD is back on Hertha Berlin's hitlist as they frantically try to land a striker before the transfer window slams shut. The Rangers ace is one of three targets the German giants are considering. Hertha are desperate to replace Andrey Voronin who has returned to Liverpool after a loan spell last term. But they are strapped for cash and that has seen Boyd, out of contract at the end of the season, come into the equation again. Hertha general manager Michael Preetz is working overtime to bring someone in for coach Lucien Favre, with the August 31 deadline less than a fortnight away. Reports in Germany claim freed Celtic striker Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink is their No1 target. The Dutchman rejected an offer from French side St Etienne this week and has been training with former side FC Twente. But Boyd, who hit 31 goals last term, is believed to be next in the pecking order after he was targeted by the club before. He has yet to receive any offer to keep him at Ibrox beyond this term. And Hertha are now believed to be weighing up tabling a small bid for the 26-year-old. But they face a fight to land him after we revealed that Turkish sides Trabzonspor and Kayserspor are willing to pay Gers £1.5 million and offer Boyd £50,000-a-week. The third target on Hertha's list is Inter Milan's Victor Obinna. Meanwhile, Boyd has vowed to end a seven-year hoodoo at Tynecastle on Sunday. He last scored there for Kilmarnock player in August 2002. Boyd said: "I feel I can rectify that." http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/2597219/Berlin-target-Boydy-again.html
  11. SPURS boss Harry Redknapp is set to make Celtic a bumper offer for Aiden McGeady - and NOT Scott Brown. Redknapp and his No2 Kevin Bond headed north on Tuesday to run the rule over £10million target Brown at Parkhead. But they left purring over the performance of McGeady in the 2-0 Champions League qualifying defeat by Arsenal. SunSport can reveal the White Hart Lane gaffer has been a long-time admirer of both players. Redknapp saw the Republic of Ireland ace dazzle while Brown failed to shine. It's understood the Spurs chief is weighing up a £5m-plus bid for McGeady, 23. The transfer window deadline is 11 days away and Celtic - who face missing out on the £12m group stages of the top Euro tournament - are bracing themselves for big-money bids for their best talents. Meanwhile, it's understood £4m-rated right back Andreas Hinkel, wanted by Hull City and Cologne, is to have talks with Celts chief executive Peter Lawwell on Friday. The German and his agent Klaus Schaude want to know how the club sees his future. Hinkel, who is under contract until 2011, is happy at Parkhead but the chance to play in the Premier League could be too good to resist. http://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/scotsol/homepage/sport/spl/2597246/Arry-eyes-Aid-raid.html

  20. Skysports.com understands Liverpool are closing in on a shock move for former Rangers defender Sotiris Kyrgiakos. Liverpool are in the market for defensive reinforcements and it is believed they have lined up a move for AEK stopper Kyrgiakos. The Reds have been linked with the likes of Stoke's Ryan Shawcross and Hull's Michael Turner, but Kyrgiakos appears to be a cheaper option for Rafa Benitez. With reports of Benitez having his transfer budget restricted Liverpool have switched their attentions to Kyrgiakos and they are believed to have agreed a ââ??¬3million (Ã?£2.5million) fee with AEK for the 30-year-old. Kyrgiakos is understood to have said his goodbyes to his AEK team-mates and is now thought to be travelling to England to hold talks with Liverpool officials and undergo a medical. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5498803,00.html

  22. I think he is holding out for an improved contract as well
  23. You are correct Craig,I'm just enjoying the pain the MOPES will be feeing, which they will be regardless of what they say
  24. Boruc the clown would have let it in anyway................oh no,sorry I forgot he's worth £12m
  25. TBH, I don't care what pot we are in,we have made some much needed cash from the MOPES getting pumped,we'll have a few CL nights to look forward to,then drop into the europa league, but most importantly retain the SPL
